Charged $400 for an oil change and inspection +$50 to replace an exhaust hanger that didn t help with a drooping tailpipe. Dealership is cheaper & better equipped. Live and learn.

I absolutely recommend Autohaus as I have used their services for the past 2 years, for both my German made vehicles. Not only all their prices very reasonable, but they also recommend fixing what truly needs to be fixed - nothing more.Recently I had my Audi in because the check engine light was on and the AC did not cool as much as it should. They rightly determined I had a faulty heater control valve and also recommended that I take it to the Audi Dealer, to perform a recent recall. In the 2 years of maintenance performed on my cars - their diagnosis has always been spot on, to the true root cause.Once again, I highly recommend the folks at AutoHaus.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I'm new with German cars (2011 BMW, owned 2 years) but my experience so far, with three different shops including our BMW dealer is that I should just always go to Autohaus. Shop owner Juergen is super knowledgeable and has invested in all the technology and tools to do anything my car has needed.

Worst experience I ve had with a shop this far. Brought my Mini Cooper Clubman S to this shop through a recommendation. Car was sitting at the shop for 4 months. Everytime we would call for an update, someone wasn t able to give us one due to the mechanic being sick or on break or unavailable for some odd reason. They finally ended up telling us multiple different reasons for the car being in the condition it was. Every call, there was another new issue. Suddenly 3 1/2 months into the ordeal the tech decided to give it another look and decided it needed a new motor. Quoted me $8000. Safe to say we pulled the car out of there and towed it home. Just for it to be in worse condition then when we brought it to them. Incredibly sneaky and dishonest. $1200 later, I have a vehicle that is worth less than when I brought it to a reputable shop. Run.

Engine coming out of my Porsche AGAIN, thanks to Jergen's 18,000.00 dollars worth of handy work. Do not trust him to work on your vehicle.

Recently took my 1982 VW Rabbit Pick Up to Autohause for mechanical fuel pump issues and among other things. They have also serviced are BMW's as well. This is the only place I take my cars to once they are out of factory warranty. They are very thorough and precise and honest. The VW pickup runs great since they have serviced it. Thanks Authause. I have lived here my entire life and I've always had a great experience at Authohaus. I have two Range Rovers I bring here for service and repairs. I have tried other mechanics, but honestly, they are not as confident (knowledgable) as Mr. Zimmer when it comes to these vehicles. I have read some other positive and negative comments here, let me quickly touch on them:Yes, he will always charge you for his diagnostic work. There are two different signs in the modest-sized waiting room that state this policy. Always means always, even on Christmas :) Specialized knowledge has value. No, he will not accept another mechanic's diagnosis. Would you? Do you expect a surgeon to amputate a leg just because someone says another surgeon said it had to go? Do you expect an attorney to follow your instructions about how to defend a case? Are all attorneys the same? Neither are mechanics. If he follows your other mechanics recommendation and it doesn't fix the car, then I am sure the complaint would be that he did not make sure it was the correct diagnosis...No, he will not accept the parts you brought (this is pretty common with mechanics not to accept them). My experience is he ALWAYS orders parts from Range Rover, or if unavailable, the next OE supplier. I think he does this for a similar reason as above. If he accepted the part someone brought him, and installed it, and it did not work, I am sure he needs to charge to remove the part and install yet another part: this would make for an even greater problem and an angry customer. If he orders it from trusted suppliers it "minimizes" the chance this can happen. Moreover, the parts he has installed for me are warrantied, I am not sure that he can warrant a part someone bought online that BigTim623456 promised was OEM. Just my guessYes, he charges what his time is worth to him: why get upset because he quotes you a higher price than someone else? Just go to the other guy. One attorney charges $200 an hour another charges $1,000 an hour: Why get angry about the higher price? Many older model, high status cars are very expensive to maintain: it's not the mechanic's fault. If you can not tell, I have always been happy with the service here and I am happy that Autohaus is part of this communtiy.

Just came from Mercedes with full code report with the recommendation to replace engine wire harness gave owner copy of detailed code readout with recommendation of replacing wire harness. Tried to get labor price for doing replacement was told he would look at it first to determine if that work was needed after he looked at it he informed me that yes wire harness should be replaced he quoted me $1600 just for labor I had told him that I had previous quotes from other Mercedes mechanics quotes from hour manual of $950. He told me he had over 61 year s experience and that I should come pick up car. Upon arrival he gave me a bill for $177 saying it was for reading codes??? I had already given him the codes and recommendations from Mercedes dealership he said no matter he runs he s own codes which were identicalI never authorized for him to run a second scan of codes he said he would never work on my car when I disputed a charge for scanner codes that I already gave him. He was arrogant kept claiming 61 year s experience left me with the car with no new diagnostic nor a fair price on n replacing engine wire harnessVery bad business acumen and a charge for work that was previously done by dealership and given to himVery nasty the way I was treated disputing work that had previously been done and never authorizedBeware of unscrupulous business practices he is only out for the moneyAlso by the way he was not even the mechanic that worked on my car it was a young man seemed knowledgeable but not 61 year s experience as he boastedVery disappointed I am pretty knowledgeable and know when I m being fleecedOk just called back as requested to discuss my concerns he again was very nasty on phone said never to come back and would not address charging me to run codes again without authorization saying it was necessary to clear codes I have an autel code reader which takes me 2 minutes to scan and clear codes $177 for 2 minutes work? Should be ashamed of himself only out for the money if from the beginning he quoted me to change engine wire harness at a labor only cost of $1600 I would have left immediately and gone to other Mercedes mechanic that quoted me $950.He strung me along to charge me $177 insisting 61 years experience yeah right he did not even perform work it was a younger guy please get quote in writing and ask for any authorization before doing work he will charge you for just doing 2 minutes work to clear code and left me with same recommendation that I got from mercedes dealershipService: Engine repair

Brought my Maserati in for a loud noise in the rear end. Cost me $300 dollar to tell me I needed tires! Brought it to a Goodyear tire they told me tires were in great shape. Response to owners response: READ THE INVOICE YOU GAVE ME! it said tires bad need alignment. I want the apology for the poor service and lying to me. You should not be in business poor work ethics. Your own tech went for a ride with me at YOUR request. He said after a 30 second ride it's in the rear end.Service: Auto maintenance

Excellent service here! The owner is great and very well knowledgeable. He uses BMW Certified diagnostic software. There's no guessing games at this shop. Other shops cost customers lots of money because of not having the correct software. They troubleshoot part after part at your expense. This shop doesn't do that. Autohaus has the best staff whom are helpful. I highly recommend this place for all your BMW needs!Services: Electrical repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Great place! Owner is extremely knowledgeable and experienced with German cars. One of the most honest men I know. Last year I bought an old Porsche and took it to him to have a few parts replaced and general service. He called me the next day with a long list of things that needed to be fixed and gave me a price. When I told him ok, he told me to wait a day and think it over. Said the cost would be way more than the car would be worth afterwards, suggested considering getting rid of it and look around for a different one and made suggestions on what to look for and said dont buy one until you let me look at it .I took his advice and dumped it. Eventually got a better one. Brought it in for service recently and there was a fault with convertible that he fixed. Price was very reasonable. Highly recommend him!! Mike Zich

I had my car there for a complete brake job including new rotors and brake fluid service. I also had them change my oil.. I started leaking oil a short time thereafter. (It's all over my driveway. New house.) I had my car at the dealership for an alignment and asked them to trace the leak. Dealership stated that more than likely it was a result of the oil change I got at autohaus. I took it there and they told me it was leaking when I bought it to them. That's not possible. I had my oil changed in Indiana six plus months ago. Nothing ever leaked until I took my car there. Then they want to talk me into getting a new oil pan. Plus, I am pretty sure I was overcharged for the brakes.

Called to get a quote for installation of suspension including struts and springs in all 4 wheels of a 2012 GL550. The gentleman I spoke to was VERY rude. I would ask a question, he would get super defensive and tell me that he's been doing this for 61 years. That's neither here nor there. He couldn't quote me a price for the work although he said he had done numerous jobs like what I was inquiring about before. Come to think of it, if he's been doing this for 61 years and let's just say he started when he was 15, that would make him 76. I wouldn't trust a 76 year old mechanic anyway. Let alone trust him with a 100k vehicle the way he was treating a potential customer. I've never had any work performed here and will never. Tread carefully with this establishment.

I recently bought a used 2011 Mini Cooper S convertible. I brought it in for a comprehensive check up and servicing. There were several issues that needed to be repaired. The estimate for parts and repair were very reasonable.Within 2 days, all the issues and parts were taken care of, and the work was expertly done. The car now runs great, and I am very pleased with the results. Thanks to Jergan for his expertise. I recommend Autohaus for their professional service.

We brought our 2012 TTRS to them that we had just bought 2 days before with a coolant leak. And we were 2 days from leaving SC to begin the drive back to Arizona!! 2200+ miles would not have been fun having to stop to add coolant frequently. They were happy to fit us in, understood what we wanted done, did exactly that and had the car finished the same day.EXCELLENT SERVICE and helped us complete our trip without any hint of an issue.THANK YOU!

They tried to rob me,m! but when I Revealed that I recorded them giving me one price to fix my Range Rover, They were extremely upset that they had to honor that price and asked me to sign an agreement that I would never bring my car back there again. I won t ever bring my car back there again! Untrustworthy, I wouldn t bring my vehicle & I wouldn t suggest anyone bring their vehicle there either. And then they always comment with the idea of you can work things out with them but they never work things out with the people that contact them back, they are so fake.

The people at Autohaus get 5 stars for excellence , honesty and flexibility. My son and a group of friends broke down in an old Audi on their way to senior week. Though the damage was significant and parts needed would have to be shipped, they were able to improvise and fix the issue in time for the group to drive back safely and make their graduation a few days later. Not only did they return without any issues, but Autohaus charged a fraction of what we would have owed if the parts and labor needed for a permanent fix were needed.

UPDATE... Never heard back on MY CONCERN. They had good reviews and I'm just barely ok with our result. I thought the bill was excessive considering they spent 5 hours apparently coming to the same conclusion they have before with other similar vehicles. The conclusion is we needed less than a $50 part. The owner said they spent way to much time trying to track this down with no luck and wasn't willing to look anymore. After we got clarification on the part... My wife located it in less than an hour. A little disappointing. Not sure why this cost what it did.

Had an airbag light on in my car that just popped up out of nowhere. Took it here and they got me right in, took care of the issue and I had my car back the same day. I would definitely recommend these guys.

Autohaus was very responsive when my family was in need. Our family was driving from Florida to Myrtle Beach when our brakes on our Mercedes ML320 started majorly grinding. This was right during Thanksgiving when most shops were closed. Although the online reviews were mixed, I figured I was in need and would give them a try. The cost of the brake job was slightly higher than it probably would be on domestic cars... but given the fact that the owner explained the higher quality of parts used... and the fact that so many other shops were closed... I felt it was a fair enough price for the job. They were very quick getting my car repaired, and the staff was very pleasant.

I was told by the local VW dealership that I had three (3) oil leaks and then they gave me the estimate for all three (3). I called Autohaus Inc and spoke with Juergen (the owner) and he asked me to come in within 2 hours after my call. Their technician told me that you could not tell what needed to be repaired with all the oil everywhere, so he cleaned the entire engine area and then added a leak detector. After 200-250 miles of driving, I will return to Autohaus to see exactly what the issues are. Autohaus Inc is the best and they really care about you and your vehicle. I will not take my VW any where else. Thank you Juergen and Linda for ALL you do!!

Just had our 2007 Lexus in for a major repair. They took the time to diagnose the issue, call to explain and the estimate was spot on. They seem to really care about the customers. I intend on using them for all my car repair needs in the future. Very nice peole as well. Top notch all the way around.

Beware! This is not an honest business owner. He uses scare tactics to try to get you to do repairs. He refuses to put all quoted repairs in writing, but he will go on and on verbally. If you question him he becomes loud and argumentative.I went to two other shops for diagnosis, they confirmed that my engine, among other things, did not need to be replaced.Service: Vehicle Inspection

We were visiting relatives in Myrtle Beach from New Jersey when the rear wiper blade on our Audi Q5 decided to give up the ghost. I thought that it would be easy to find a replacement blade locally but no such luck. The closest place to get a replacement was a couple of hours away. I stumbled upon Autohaus Inc. and they could not have been nicer / more helpful. They ordered the blade for overnight delivery and let me know the next day when it arrived. Although the blade replacement is a small and fairly inexpensive part, I was impressed with how willing they were to help a total stranger out - something which, in my experience anyway, is fairly unique in this day in age. If we lived here, we would certainly go to them for our other Audi service needs.

2012 Audi S5- "gearbox malfunction ", clutch slipping-Moved here from Charlotte and with no Audi dealership to replace transmission I turned to Autohaus and they took care of me. Transmission was delivered there, they replaced my failing one (clutch slipping) and swapped out TCU. took about 2 weeks and I got my S5 fixed and the custom tune still in place. Drives great!Service: Transmission repair

Autohaus/ owner Junger works on my 2006 BMW M3 and treats it like its his own. His services are excellent, he's forthright with his fee estimate and I find his fees reasonable for the quality work performed. Recently Autohaus did a major scheduled maintenance on my M3. I brought the car back in to follow up on an issue. Junger jumped on the problem & quickly resolved it without charge. I was out of town when he finished the work so he kept my car garaged & even met me on a Sunday morning to accommodate my schedule & keep the M3 out of the weather. I highly recommend Autohaus.

They will take care of you here -- full stop. I had a large repair ($1,500) and they had the thoughtfulness to report to the insurance agency for me, and the whole cost was nearly covered. They were timely, and efficient -- what one would expect from the very best. Don't even look at the dealer, just go to Jurgen and his guys first.
