The new ownership has completely ruined the experience of coming to Sandlapper.Upon arrival, I was asked for my last name, then was immediately being signed up for a rewards program by the service advisor. I was given no opportunity to ask what had been done to my vehicle, no chance to review the charges before paying, and not asked if I had any questions or concerns. In fact, I wasn't presented with any sort of documentation until after I "had" to be walked to my car - which was another upsell opportunity for the service advisor, this time for an affiliated tow service. We have been coming to Sandlapper for the past 5 years, but we will NEVER be coming back. I wouldn't trust them with any of our other vehicles after this experience. I would even go so far as to make sure no one I know uses their service in the future.

Only place I've ever let touch my toyota. Good group of people that are honest, caring and really know their stuff. If you have a honda or toyota product (Acura and Lexus) look no further.

The first letter of their name is H, stands for Honda. Even though they've worked on '90s model Honda's in the past, they refuse to now. Could be something simple they just refuse to look at it.

I can't say enough great things about the crew at Sandlappers. They have done a great job taking care of my car and showing me issues that need to be taken care of before they turn into bigger problems. They fix what needs fixed and don't upsell just to make more money. I'm happy to have found a shop I trust to take care of all of my car's needs. I've put 97K on my car and I still love driving it. Thanks guys!!Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Tire rotations, Brakes, Oil change

Absolutely thrilled with the service advisor, Kyle, and the tech who did the work on my car. I was greeted nicely, the intake process went smoothly, all my issues were discussed and explained in plain language. The work was completed timely and the pricing was VERY fair in my opinion. The waiting room is clean and they even have a bistro table/chairs where I sat with my laptop and did some work while I waited. I highly recommend Sandlappers Auto for all your Honda and Toyota mechanic needs.Services: Brakes, Oil change

Great experience. Sandlappers inspected my vehicle to investigate a problem, explained it thoroughly in terms I could understand, discussed my options, and gave me honest advice. They chose to not charge a fee for this inspection, and ultimately recommended a transmission shop for my repairs, but treated me like a valued customer during all of my interactions with them.

Sandlapper is the best automotive shop I ve ever used. They ve taken care of multiple vehicles for me throughout the years, and the quality of their customer service is top notch. Derrick is always prompt, listens to diagnose the problem, and explains things in terms I can understand. Kyle is always extremely helpful and kind. All around great experience every single time!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Disappointed. I love this place. I have been taking my vehicle for regular maintenance here since 1998. Unfortunately, they do not deal in convenience anymore, which is desirable for the average individual or family. They have decided that cars have to be dropped off for a full day (no wait) for a repair as simple as an oil change. I cannot imagine how someone working five days a week on a traditional schedule can afford to be without their only vehicle for a full day, especially when they work at a distant location. & they don t open on the weekends. Oh well, time to search for another mechanic.Service: Oil change

I Love this place! I have been coming to this place on and off (B/c Honda's rock!) for the last 7 years. They have serviced all of my Honda's and i have never had a problem or felt like i was being ripped off as a woman. Every time i come in Kyle is usually there and he's awesome. I can't think of the tech's name, but he's been there awhile as well and he will explain things so you understand what they will be doing to your car. I came in yesterday due to hitting something in the road and Kyle fixed it with no hesitation/problem and it was close to closing time. These guys are genuine people and very trustworthy. I'm sure they fix on more than just Honda's , so if you're looking for a new automotive shop. This is the place to go. No paid review here, just a girl who appreciates great and genuine customer service!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I can't say enough Good things about Sandlappers. The people are very courteous and Professional yet very personable every time we visit. Their services on Quality and Cost just can't be beat! I would recommend them to anyone, and that says a lot because that's not something I would normally do unless they're extraordinary. They are extraordinary in every area of service. Thanks for your service Sandlappers.... you're the best!!

I've had either a honda/acura the last 11 years. Let's just say after my first time going 10 years ago I've never took them to anyone else. Kyle and derrick know what they are doing. Great customer service and will let you know every step of the process and the cost. The turnaround time with as many cars they have daily is unreal. Everyone I know that has a acura/honda/toyota/lexus I referred to them

Several of our neighbors have been recommending Sandlappers to us for years. We are glad we finally listened and took our Toyotas over for service. Cannot say enough good things about their knowledge, professionalism, honesty, integrity and overall character. We will continue to come to Sandlappers for all of our Toyota service and we will now be recommending them to our neighbors and friends.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

Kyle was awesome to work with. They did a great job diagnosing the issues, 2013 Accord, bad battery and starter. They replaced both in about 3 hours or so. Price was great, service was great.Keep up the great work.

Most honest and genuine people in the auto service industry in the greater Greenville area. Kyle and his team have always done good by me. I personally drive an Acura so if that s what you drive and I were you, I wouldn t get my car serviced anywhere else !

Super helpful with knowledge based answers to questions and honest about expediency of repairs/maintenance needed. They are making a living, but you an tell they are not out to steal it from people through fraudulent repairs or maintenance to get there. I highly recommend Sandlapper to all of my friends and family. They are specific to certain car manufacturers. They service both, our Honda and our Toyota and trust them.

My Lexus RX 350 needed a new ac compressor. I called Sandlappers for a quote. The owner called me back quickly, explained exactly what they would do installing new OEM parts, no aftermarket parts. The quote was fair and I asked him to schedule an appointment for me. He told me there was a two week waiting period, but if I could leave the vehicle there, he could work it in their schedule and possibly get it sooner than two weeks. I dropped my vehicle off the next afternoon and received a call the next morning saying it was fixed and ready to pick up. That was excellent service! The lobby was spotless and very friendly staff. If you need repairs on a Honda, Acura, Toyota or Lexus, I would highly recommend these folks.

I just had my first experience with these guys and could not be more grateful for them. I had a timing belt job done on my 2006 Tundra and also the front ball joints replaced as the truck is now at 205K miles. I also had a strange noise that I couldn't figure out where it was coming from so they looked into it for me. They called me the very next morning early after I had left the truck with them at the end of the previous day, with a full explanation of everything going on. They were completely honest, and so articulate regarding the trucks needs. They checked the spark plugs too and realized they were fine so didn't change them. The price for the timing belt was very reasonable, and the ball joints was as well. I've seen some first generation Tundra trucks have gone over 500K miles with proper maintenance, so I have great hope I can do the same with Sandlappers' auto care. Great service, very quick turnaround, and just excellent people to do business with. I can't recommend them more highly.

Absolutely the nicest people and most trustworthy garage around! We take all of our cars there for regular maintenance and have used them for checking our used cars we are considering buying. Always honest and helpful. They took time out to show my daughter how to check her oil herself and add more if needed. Dropped off for ck engine light. Found a more in-depth issue that needed to be addressed by Honda, being only 5,000 miles over warranty. Didn't charge for the breakdown before finding the more intense issue. Advised how to handle dealing with Honda. Very professional and polite, as well as direct. Thank you guys!Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

I do like this place overall. I usually would go to Especially for my maintenance. I used them when i had my accord. I to come in for a Emergency because i needed a battery for my Civic. I kinda felt ripped off when they charged me $22.50 just to put a battery in. I wish Especially Honda was closer but it was an emergency.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

Pricy and RudeI took an Accord there for brakes. They did a good enough job as I would expect (nothing over the top service wise). The price was much higher than I expected to pay and it took much longer than I expected (1 and a half days for front brakes when I called a few days ahead). They tried to tell my wife the starter was bad without really diagnosing the problem. (Problem was that it was 20 degrees and the car had an older battery). They were very pushy over the phone as well. I was told to go look at prices and call them back. Very abrasive. I figured I d try them out as my normal mechanic is across town and this is pretty close to where I live plus the reviews were pretty good. Needless to say I won t be back.

Good honest folks. I had a pretty wonky experience, but they stayed committed and consistent and professional throughout. I had a coolant leak, they diagnosed it as leaking radiator and quoted to replace it. They called back the next day and said they thought it was just the hoses, and significantly reduced the quote. I picked it up, and it still had a coolant leak, so we took it back and they confessed to potentially being overly optimistic in trying to save me money, and actually the radiator did need to be replaced. So they took it back, took everything back out, replaced the radiator, put it all back in, and only charged me the difference for the original quote. We take it home and two days later, there's a coolant pond underneath the car. So obviously I was pretty incredulous and suspicious at that point. They had been super friendly up to that point, and I felt bad about calling them back a third time, but dang, I just wanted my car to stop leaking coolant! At no point did they even hint that I was an inconvenience or a 'problem customer', they just owned it, and instead took it as a challenge. They offered to pay to have it towed back to their shop, saying that they were going to get to the bottom of it, like they were the scooby doo gang taking on a new mystery! We had AAA, but I thought that was quite a gesture. Turns out the THIRD problem was the hose clamp failing on the the upper radiator hose, and so it came loose and sprayed coolant everywhere like some kind of blue liquid party under the hood. So they fixed that at no charge even though it wasn't their fault and stayed late on a Friday to get it done. Their professionalism and good humor was refreshing and I'm pretty sure helping me actually lost them money, but I felt taken care of and respected, and I will have no problem taking our Honda pilot to them again. But hopefully we won't have to!Service: General repairs & maintenance
