Wrong place, right time! We went with friends to look for a spot on the lake for their camper that they had at the beach. We decided to go up to the lake one Sunday morning. We pulled up to the store and were greeted immediately by Mandy. She was so nice that it kind of blew our minds. There was one spot open for our friends. Needless to say, they took the spot, and three months later, we joined them.Come to find out, we went to the wrong place, but it was at the right time.This place is amazing. Beautiful people, amazing events, a breath of fresh air.So, I guess you could say Right place, right time.

This is a RV on the Lake - What a great place for the family and kids- all kinds of activities on and off the lake! Been coming here for four years and it just gets better every time!!Owners are awesome and people are niceNearby activities: EverythingWalkability: There are trails everywhere, plenty of walking and hiking and bikingFood & drinks: They have a small restaurant in the RV park that serves the park and locals - great food

The owners of this park are fantastic. The campground has been upgraded since they took it over, very clean and quiet. They serve a breakfast that is absolutely fantastic, the food is cooked to order, all kinds of different mimosas and bloody Mary s, the service is excellent and the food is wonderful. it is also pet friendly!!! One of our favorite places for breakfast!!!!

I have to say the restrooms were by far the cleanest I have ever seen at any campground. No matter what time of day. And they always smelled clean. Check in was pretty easy. We did pass the entrance because road is not marked. With a camper it s tough to turn around.Great spot on the water. Loved the outside seating on the water. Nice play area for kids. Even has a zip line. The dog park fenced in was a nice touch.Upon check in we were told there was lots of kids and they have a speed limit of 5 mph. Twice during our stay we received an email with a picture of our vehicle with speed marked on it. Once was 9mph the other was 14mph. My son was going 6 mph and was yelled at to slow down. I get driving slow. But it s extremely hard to drive at 5 mph. When you have golf carts whipping around everywhere going faster than than 5 mph. It gets annoying.

RV park, in summer is for, the same good ol boys who have been going there for years, "SUMMER RESIDENTS" I don't think they like it if you get there buddy's site for a weekend.Wifi Works sometimes if you are at the store(open F/S/S only) does not work at camp site,Verizon Cell service is non existent.Park needs a good cleaning, dumpster FULL--FULL trash in woods, needs to be cleaned, BADLY.The (Heat & Cooled) Bathrooms were ok, not dirty, and were cleaned Daily."HOST" saw us packing up, and passed on the opportunity to invite us back, or ask about our stay. Guess the only thing that matters is $$$$$$$

Great place, and wonderful live on site owners!! They bought campground last year and have done many upgrades, and still working on improving sites and grounds.We stayed here for weekend on way up to rally in NC. Then stayed for one night on the way back home. We loved it here. Owners super friendly and helpful. Quick to check in and they bring you to your site and make sure you are set before leaving. Very clean store, decks and bathhouse. Ice and firewood at the office. Sat and Sun they do some breakfast specials. Weekend we were there was mushroom and leek quiche, and mimosa. DELICIOUS! Many keep their rigs here to enjoy on weekends and vacation, and some others appear to be full time and the ones we met were super friendly. We will definitely be back in the future.

Wonderful camp ground Mandy and J are very helpful for any thing you need and are wonderful host. Glad we got to experience the RV park, the only issue we had was parking our boats, we tournament fish and need to have our boats close by to prepare for our tournaments. The RV park has a charging station, which was great for charging our boats, but was not very useful for us to prepare our rods and reels for the next day of fishing. This park is great for camping, but wouldn't suggest it for tournament fishermen. Thanks Mandy and J for everything.

Please ignore any reviews more than a year old, since ownership has changed and this campground has improved greatly. We recently spent a long weekend, and had a great time. The new owners are working hard to improve facilities, and their weekend breakfast offering was wonderful. Sites are full service, we had 50amp electric, plus water and sewer hookups.One more thing. Cell service was very spotty for us with literally no signal in our unit. And we have Verizon. Which makes the fact that this campground has the very best WiFi we have ever had camping a huge asset. A lot of effort has gone into providing this important service to campers. A big thank you to the owners.

We stayed here for one week in October & it was fabulous from arrival to departure. The owners are running an outstanding campground with very personal touches throughout the park. Will definitely stay here again.

Such a great campground of friendly people! Most are fulltimers/seasonal so everyone knows everyone and they help each other out. It s nice to know when we go back my kids can hang out with the same kids. It s not a family campground with activities definitely a marina. It s right on the water which is why you would go. We didn t have a boat and still had a good time. The beach area was our spot. The management was insanely friendly and welcoming.

Love the campground. Quiet and people are friendly. Owners are very nice and helpful. We enjoyed sitting at the deck at the general store, overlooking the lake. Very relaxing. The wifi is excellent and operates around 20-25Mbps.

1st time here and the owners are amazing! Super helpful and nice. Bathrooms were unbelievable clean and smelt amazing.Laundry room was a nice touch.The wifi was great.The beach area is super nice touch as well!Park right across from us was niceWe cant wait to come back!Price is a little higher then the state park but so worth it!!

This park is great! The new owners are fantastic, you can clearly see they are working to improve the park even more. We stayed here for 10 days and I didn t see them take a break, just hustling to get this in great shape. I can t imagine how great will be in an year if they keep at this pace. The full timers are also the nicest people you can meet. I didn t use bathroom or shower facilities so I can t comment on that,

The NEW owners are absolutely wonderful!!!! It feels like they have been here for years by the way the campground looks and feels. We stayed over at The Camden RV Park for 4mos before we came over here and we really wished that we would not of believed all of the horror stories and came over and checked it out for our selves. This places feels like home, we travel exclusively for work but, wish we could just stay here, Jurgen, Mandy and Tim have really created the best lake life campground in such a small community that is something you have to experience for yourself to see.

This place is an amazing hidden gem. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, located right on Lake Wateree, this is it! They allow golf carts, have boat docks, and laundry facilities. The owners are the nicest people! They are extremely accommodating, friendly, and always trying to include us in whatever activity is going on at camp or the nearby Beavers Den Restaurant.

Very nice park. Owners work hard to make sure our stay was pleasant. Restrooms and showers a very clean. Every one in the park was very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay. Plan on going back soon.

I have been staying here for over 10 years. The park went through some bad ownership and was rundown for a several years. The current owners have invested heavily into the park and it s the best it s ever been. New paved roads, new grass around the sites, and more. The best part is the full park Wi-Fi which is fastest of any place I ve ever camped. The park is by far the nicest and best managed park on the east coast.

We had such a great time! The campground was clean and well kept. The beach area was great for the kids. And most of all the owners were the nicest people! I would def recommend and we will be coming back soon.

Read the UPDATE below.. this place went so down hill. In the summer of 2014 we rented a lot for a month and it rained EVERYDAY. Although we had some major water problems ( not the fault of the campground ) they did everything they could to keep the campground up. I had a problem with my boat and the owner and other staff were very helpful to us. It's a small campground but very fun. If your looking for a close getaway for the weekend or whatever, this is a great place to go.... Maybe this year when we go it will rain less.... Overall a happy camper.. :-)UPDATE, New owners... Do not go here if you have a big rig or a nice camper. Your rig will get destroyed by low hanging trees. The new owners don t care.The decals were destroyed on my new Momentum.

We just camped here for 5 very enjoyable days. Everything is kept very well. Park and restrooms are very clean and stocked. The owners are very friendly and gracious, willing to accommodate . Can't wait to go back for a week next month. Thank you Mandy and Jay for making our stay so comfortable and so relaxing.

We just spent 5 nights 4days at the Wateree Lake RV park and marina , we found it to be extremely relaxing their swim beach is beautiful , the new ownership is fantastic they are there on site making sure that everything is wonderful, looking forward to going back.We higly recommended Lake WatereeRV park if you like camping with friendly people, dog friendly ,clean environments with a great Beach, Dock and store. I was really impressed.

Five-Stars! We absolutely LOVE Wateree RV Park & Marina. Owners Jay and Mandy understand the hospitality business thus doing an outstanding job overall for people and animals campground-wide. People are super friendly and welcoming to newcomers, great breakfast at the Campground grill, great food at Beaver Den Restaurant within walking distance, laid back and relaxing, and the Lake is spectacular! Entire camp ground is clean and fresh. Well-kept RVs throughout, fast streaming-level Wi-Fi, full-hookups all excellent condition, shady campsites, great water pressure, super fun night life and events, fun to-do s on the lake, swimming, boating, awesome. We hope to become part of their summertime weekend community and as an #AirbnbSuperhost and a person who values superb travel experiences worldwide, I highly recommend this stay for a great place to enjoy family and friends. Has to be the shadiest bunch I ve ever dealt with in over 50 years of traveling for business and pleasure.Made a reservation for a high school fishing tournament in March 2020 and discussed with the gentleman on the phone the need to have the boat in the water and be able to charge batteries at night. He assured me our site was 15 feet from the water and we could beach the boat and charge with electricity at site.My credit card was immediately charged for three nights instead of the two I booked. I m assuming this was because I was honest and told him we would be checking out a little past check out time since boys were in tournament until 2 pm. I tried getting in touch with them again regarding the $108 charge for two $30 nights and never could get a response.Never received my reservation with site number or code for bathroom and could not get anybody to return phone calls or email so we got to campground when it was reserved for and set up on the only site with an open electric box, not lakefront , as I was assured. After talking to a gentleman camping there later that evening he gave us what he thought was the code to the bathroom. We try that code and get into bathroom with overflowing garbage can, no soap or toilet paper, and old nasty toilets with seats falling off.We chalked this up to off season and a lesson learned. I ll make second lesson it s own review since this is long.

My young family very much enjoyed our stay at Wateree Lake RV Park and Marina! It's a very quiet park with playgrounds and a beautiful lake view by the camp office and dock. The owners were extremely accommodating and are doing a lot of work to upgrade the park. They offer breakfast on the weekends which was so delicious!!! Great spot, highly recommend.

The Wateree RV Park is an excellent place to bring your tribe for a quiet peaceful, fun, fulled vacation. Level lots, clean fire pits, beautiful lake, boat docks, breakfast/dinner options, etc. The young owners went out of their way to help us get settled in. They keep the park in tip top shape. We will be returning and can recommended the park to anyone

My husband, son, and I stayed at this campground this was our first time. The owners are on site (which is a huge plus!) they are so friendly. The WiFi is incredible beats a lot of other campgrounds! Clean bath houses and huge sites!
