They fixed on problem and this exposed another problem, this has left us all scrathing our heads. This car is a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica. As of now, it's like a rabbit hole. This could all be a Chrysler planned obsolescence issue.I called Chrysler, and the parts that may be needed for this car are no longer made by Chrysler and was told to go find the parts in a junk yard. I was told Chrysler is not responsible for any of their cars after 30 days of completiondate date! The rest is up to the dealership. I was also told that this diagnostic needed was to be done by an authorized Chrysler mechanic. I told the man why bother having Chrysler do anything because on a previous Chrysler Plymoth Laser, I took the car back to the authorized dealer, Galena Chrysler to have this car fixed and the Laser was under warranty. Galena Chrysler could not fix my problem, as this was a normal wear and tear repair. I was advised to go to Race Automotive, I took the car to Race Automotive, and they fixed this car. I had to sue Galena because they did not fix the car and was charged for their mistake. So, like I told the person at the Chrysler Corporation, I just skipped yall and went to someone who could help. He became a little miffed with me and then told me that I would have been laughed at if I had gone to a Chrysler dealership for this diagnostic test. This says a lot about the Chrysler Corporation, and their products. I have had Chryslers in the past, lasted me well over 250k miles, with no issues. From now on, I will go back to Race Automotive. I have kept Race Automotive on speed dial since they were able to fix my 92 Laser, and the authorized dealer could not fix this car. This says a lot for Enie and his crew.

By far the best encounter with a mechanic shop i ever had. The service Ernie had provided me was more than expected. I bought an RV at an auction, and found other places to take it to but didnt feel comfortable either with the price or the way they communicated, once i found Race automotive on google spoke with Ernie and felt comfortable. Keep in mind all this time i was not and have not seen my rv yet. He went ahead picked up the bus from auction at no charge diagnosed it repaired it and held it at his lot untill i flew over to pick up the bus without any complications nor rrying to charge me for miscellaneous b.s. that other shops were trying to rip off. Overall after i have arrived to the shop and picked up my bus they made sure it was safe to drive because i had to go about 1000 miles from them home. Im glad i made the choice to choose Race automotive for my repairs and services couldnt ask for anything better than this. And im writing this a month after i picked up my bus and believe it or not best price in town and BEST SERVICE you can ever ask of a mechanic shop! Thank you for the great help Ernie hope other customers of yours feel the same way and i would fully trust any of my vehicles with this shop. Even offered to pick me up from the airport (no other shop will do this for you!) Big heart and hope that you guys stay strong and healthy for the longest! Dont read the negative reviews on here. Go on and try it for yourself thats what i did. And i was glad i did that!!! Best of the best!

1990 corvette convertible out the shop a week now its down again!!!! all I wanted was my car fixed....paid this guy over 1300 dollars to change fluids and change injectors...he changes "one"injector instead of changing them all tells me I have a bad injector on # 6 and wants to charge me $1010.00 to do the job he was supposed to do right 6 months ago..........im not a mechanic I'm a former soldier who just wants to ride his dream car... Look at the hanging muffler aren't you guys a muffler shop?! 6months you had my car could have been the easy fix. Ernie I will see you in small claims court sir.

Ernie and his team are top shelf! There aren't many places that do service and repair work on older motorhomes or coaches and even fewer that do it well.The guys here know and understand these machines like nobody else in the Columbia area.My 27 year old Class B was in need of some care and pretty difficult repairs. The crew at Race Automotive performed all the work professionally and even sourced some very hard to find parts at unbelievable prices, and all genuine OEM pieces.Terrific quality, great value and they go the extra mile to make sure it's done right.Will definitely be a regular there going forward!

Ernie and his team will FOREVER be the only place we take our cars. My mother was a single mom and mechanics always tried to get over on her..finally she found Ernie and since then she never went anywhere else. Nor have I. Prices are great and everyone is nice. Always the same crew working on your car. Ernie is honest and will never try to tell you you need something you don't. He will always give you his opinion and options and let you decide! 30+ years and not one disappointment

Went to Race Automotive to have an oil change and check-up on our RV that is on a Ford E450 chassis. I was extremely impressed with not only Ernie s knowledge of my vehicle but also the customer service I received. The price for the work done was very reasonable and the work was done quickly. I will be using them in the future for all the engine work on our RV.

After reading the great reviews of this place, my husband and I decided to trust Race Automotive w our 2012 Nissan Rogue. We are very pleased w the service! Ernie and his team are competent and friendly. They explained exactly what needed to be done, charged a fair price, completed the work quickly and got our 270,000 mile car running like new!

I highly recommend this locally owned family business that provides great customer service. I've been using the shop for the past 3 years for routine repairs and maintenance stuff on my family's 3 vehicles.They stay very busy so I would recommend that you schedule an appointment prior to showing up. If you reside or work close by...they're willing to drop you off as well. The technicians are highly trained and certified. The owner is always friendly and helpful at all times. I always get a cost estimate before proceeding, so that I don't get any surprises when it's billing time.In a great location close near by the Lexington SC VFW building and right off Sunset Blvd.

They did some work on my vehicle a year or 2 ago, And I was pleased. They are very welcoming, honest, and did a great job fixing my vehicle. Unfortunately, I need some more work done to my truck, but im thankful to have this place to take it to.

I got a muffler installed on my truck today and they did a fantastic job... I couldn t ask for any better... I d recommend them for any of your muffler installing needs... will definitely be returning here again!

I had the dissatisfaction of having Ernie and his workers work on me and my boyfriend's 1990 Chevrolet Corvette. Our vehicle was taken to Race with the understanding that Ernie was to fix the within a few weeks; however, he kept giving excuses as to why he wasn't able to complete the job in the alloted time that he quoted. After having our vehicle for over 7 months and being paid for his services, the repairs that he stated was completed, actually wasn't done. Ernie has been very unprofessional and I would never recommended him or Race to anyone else.

Ernie and his incompetent crew are a disgrace to the Automotive repair industry.Be warned...they do not know what they are doing and destroyed my 2004 Dodge trucks engine.They should be shut down.Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Brakes, Battery, Oil change

My wife suggested I look into them for an engine rebuild. Even though he couldn't do it, he gave us a recommendation to another shop. If you need performance parts or repairs, Ernie is the one to call.

My car still sitting at this place they worked on it after 3 and a half months for a day or now it's back sitting again and still like i said BEFORE i have to pay close to 3'000 for poor business please stay away from this place (EARNIE) Is full of it cars been waiting to be worked on for over a year save yourself the trouble go somewhere elseService: Engine repair

Race Automotive is a defamatory business that must not understand how a warranty works. By posting fallacious statements, I would think Race Automotive doesn't know their way around an internal combustion engine. We will not be doing any future business.

Terrible customer service from staff- in particular, Brittany- Doesn't relay messages to employees working on my vehicle nor does she return my calls after assuring she will give me a call back.
