My BMW was leaking oil and was rough idling on Tuesday. I had it towed to the Ottohaus on Wednesday. Tuesday it was complete! The BMW deaership had at least a week before they would even get to look at it. Excellent service and considerably cheaper than a dealership without sacrificing quality. I will not hesitate to have my Bimmer serviced here. Only wished I had known about them sooner.

Excellent and thorough service. Experienced maintenance personnel took the time to walk through each individual vehicle issue for my 2002 BMW 330Ci. Highly recommend.

Brought my Audi in for a headlight issue and inspection. Staff was very helpful with addressing my concerns and gave me a full write up on what needed to be done, along with some tips on maintaining it. For this being my first Audi i feel very comfortable coming back for all of my maintenance repairs.

After I went through a car wash, several warning lights came on in my car and I cashed Ottohaus to see if I could come by to see what the problem was. Fortunately, after driving, most of the lights went off, but I still brought it in and they did a quick diagnostic check to find the problem. (completely unrelated to the car wash, timing was a fluke). I'm scheduled to go back and get some other work done later, but I will always remember they got me in when I really needed it.

Trustworthy, honest, knowledgeable and reliable. Josh was super to work with. I didn't buy more than I needed and when I had some more trouble he took a look and didn't charge me a fortune for diagnostics when he figured out I just needed a new key. Really appreciate working with Ottohaus, especially after chasing a problem for about a year to have him recognize the problem right away. When all was finished I received an itemized bill that was within $50 of his estimate for the work.If you're a car person, working with Ottohaus is a bonus. I really enjoy learning new things about the car and talking shop. He's super helpful if I decide to work on something myself to make sure I have a decent idea what I'm getting myself into. If he's doing the work he knows what questions to ask to figure out a solution quick. The dude loves working on European cars and I think the quality and value reflect that.I'll be a repeat customer and I will be pleased to spend my money at their business.If you own a high mile VW you'll appreciate what these guys can do.Update: took my CC 2.0t back in because the AC went out and had an intake sensor go bad. Bar none - best customer experience. And, now I have AC! Thanks again to the fellas at Ottohaus!

I took my Passat TDI in for a transmission service & oil change. Their customer service was excellent, & their prices were more than fair (I paid considerably less for both services than VW wanted for just the transmission service). The only negative thing I could say (and that s a stretch) is that it took a week to get an appointment, but I just chalk that up to them being busy because they re so awesome. I found them through a Google search, & decided to give them a chance based on reviews. The reviews are warranted, I definitely found my new VW mechanic.

Very dissatisfied with the work done on my LR3. I brought it in because the AC couldn't keep up in the heat, I paid $900 and it still can t keep up with the heat. I paid, got in the SUV and it wasn't blowing cold, talked to the guy who did the work and he told me the compressor was weak. They never called to talk to me about it, they didn t give me proper expectations and when I called back to talk about it all I got were excuses. Im not a mechanic, that why I brought it to them, but I was being talked to like I was a mechanic and I should know this is how things go. Im most upset with the lack of communication from Ottohaus and all the excuses they gave me. I will not be taking either of my Land Rovers to Ottohaus again

Engine on out VW went out while on vacation in SC. Staff was amazing, worked with insurance, kept us in the loop every step of the way. Jill & the team at Ottohaus were awesome to work with! They went above & beyond to try and diagnosis and fix my car while I was in Charleston on vacation, even squeezed me in while they were slammed. They were very honest and upfront about all the repairs they recommended and weren't just satisfied with good enough. Wish they were 8 hours closer so I could use them again.Service: Engine repair

Back in May 2020, I was told by Stokes VW that there were a few things that, although weren't pressing, needed to be addressed in the near future on my 2012 VW Jetta. One of them was the radiator fan. The 1st week of September 2020, when my fan became an issue, Stokes told me they couldn't see me until mid-October. I looked up Ottohaus, was super impressed with their website & their reviews, and called to schedule.You guys...I was taken care of the day after I made the call! Josh took the time to look over the list that Stokes VW gave me. He thoroughly explained each line to me, gave me his opinion on if/when to address each issue in order of priority, as well as their pricing. I learn/remember best when I write things down, and was super chill and patient with me! I want to be able to address future car issues with at least a little bit of knowledge, and Ottohaus was happy to oblige.PS: Stokes VW's quote for replacing *one* radiator fan was around $550. To get *both* done at Ottohaus was just over $600. For as long as I'm in the Summerville/Charleston area, I will now only go to Ottohaus for my VW repairs.

The is the second time I ve been to Ottohaus and I m thoroughly impressed at the level of customer service they provide. Everyone is so nice and they don t try to sell you anything you don t need! I used to go to the dealership but I m switching to a Ottohaus for all of my future car maintenance needs!

I have a 2010 VW that was being very sluggish and having exhaust issues. Heard awesome things about this place before I even brought my van here. Decided to give them a try. Best decision ever! First off they are very professional and very friendly. Very knowledgeable about their stuff. Explaining the issues with my van the gentleman walked outside with me so he can get an idea of what it was that we were talking about. He did a diagnostic and fixed the issues. They were very reasonable with their prices and we could tell right away and that the vehicle had been fixed. We brought the van it sounding like a diesel truck Because of the exhausted issues, and when he was done fixing the van you could not even hear the van running. Otto Haus fixed what other dealers said they fixed previously. I would definitely recommend this place and for sure will be back if any other issues arise with my van.

Great service and good people. I needed a quick tire rotation and needed to check on my power steering and back brakes. He did my tires for a very low price. The brakes he said were good just had a lot of dirt on them which he cleaned off for no charge. Power steering needed a fix but I was low on money so he told me I could last a bit longer while I save for it. These are the types of people you can trust with your car and know they would not try to sell you on something you didn t need. When I move up here in a couple months I will definitely come back for further maintenance!

I Have been without A/C for quite some time went to Midas and they tried to charge me almost 2 thousand to fix the problem. Called my guy over at Ottohaus he gave me a quote with parts and labor that was I thought to good to be true. They fixed my car had it blowing like summer in Antarctica.Great job and great customer service he keeps you up to date with whatever is going on with your ride and makes a point to try to get your car back to you in a timely fashion. I highly recommend they have gained a new loyal customer.

The first time I came here, my experience was really good. They didn't try to overcharge me or hit me with some outrageous diagnostic fees or labor charges. Very friendly and genuine concern for your services. After that, I only took my BMW here unless there's a recall or something. Great place.

I live nearly 300 miles from Ladson and if it is possible I still bring my Audi to Josh. I am thoroughly impressed by his knowledge and ability. Fair pricing and excellent service and turn around time to meet your needs. This is literally the Unicorn of auto repair shops! 6 stars

Josh was very helpful when I took my son's BMW 428i for oil change and reasonable. I today had the check engine light on my VW CC, I called him and he said to bring it by and he will check. Turns out coolant was low he topped it with correct coolant and took out the light. They are my shop for all 3 of my cars in future.Thank you Josh.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

Josh got me in the same day to look at an oil leak in my 2009 Jetta. Even through he was overloaded, he spent time with me describing the potential causes. He diagnosed two areas that needed attention and corrected the most pressing issue first to get me back on the road. Josh provided me with an estimate on the more involved work and again spent time helping me understand the urgency to getting it done.Very simply, a first class experience with a knowledgeable mechanic who also values the customer experience. What more could you ask for!

Near and dear to me is my MK6 GTi. It was throwing a random misfire code during cold starts and running rough right after.Upon research, I was having a very common issue with Direct Injection motors, Carbon Build Up.I reached out to a buddy of mine and told him what was going on and I asked for a suggestion on who to bring it to. He is a VW guru of sorts, and didn't hesitate when he said, "Reach out to Josh at OttoHaus on 78." Not one of the dealership or one of these tuning shops, but Josh at OttoHaus.From there I contacted Josh and from the get go, his communication was on point, patient, and informative. Their pricing was so good, I had to ask twice.Dropped my car off this morning like he asked, and it was done earlier than he said. He showed pictures before and after, gave me some tips on preventative measures and sent me on my way.My car runs amazing, and it's all because of Josh and OttoHaus. If you have a German vehicle, there is nobody else in town you should consider other than OttoHaus.Didn't know it was possible to have such an amazing experience with an automotive technician. Very blessed and thankful!

I called Ottohaus of North Charleston, and spoke to Josh, asked if I could bring my BMW in due to a light coming on. Josh said yes, he diagnosed it while I waited, gave me a price, and completed my service on the same day! Josh is fantastic and will continue to get my business.

After dealing with other foreign car repair shops I find that this place is the most efficient with reasonable pricing. Always greeted with great customer service knowledgeable employees and fast prompt servicewould recommend this shop to anyone who owns a Audi Volkswagen or german-made car, they keep my A6 in tip top shape and couldn't be more happier with the service they provide.

I was recommended to go there by my Fianc�e who took her car there last week for service on her VW. I drive a BMW and my car was having issues from an electrical issue from December 2019 and March 2020. The dealership in Myrtle Beach fixed issues then my Check Engine light came on so the dealership diagnosed the issue and told me a box in the hood compartment needed replacing for $$$. I was told I could drive it with no problems. So, I drove it and didn't have issues other than the price to repair.Fast forward to Ottohaus of Charleston located on 844 Savannah Hwy. Charleston, SC and the dynamic Kris McLawhorn for making me feel comfortable and kept me informed via phone after the diagnostic. After giving them the go-ahead approval, he gave me a generic time which was fine because he saved me hundreds of dollars. I went back and they still weren't on my car but he told me within an hour it should be ready. I was actually out less than that hour.I am really pleased and if you have an Import vehicle like BMW, VW, Audi, etcetera then please sir or please ma'am give Kris a call at the Savannah location. If I could give 20 stars then I would do it.
