Had them do an inspection of a vehicle before I bought it. I was able to bring it in the same day I called which was very convenient. Great customer service, although they never mentioned the water in the trunk where the spare tire is. Made me question if more was missed on the inspection. But I think they did a good job. At least hopefully .

This is a wonderful place to take your car for service & most if not all repairs. They are much less expensive than a dealer & they stand by their work. They assist with travel & all insurance, life, car, & homeowners. My car is there for an oil change & to rotate the tires & battery check I bought there a year ago.

I called AAA. The phone message noted that there wasn't an agent available so the machine told me to leave a voicemail and someone would return my call. It's been over a week now and no one has returned my call. I wish they wouldn't leave that message if they don't check their voicemail messages. I guess if I want service I'm going to have to drive up there.

5 stars if I could give more I would! Our jeep broke down on I26 passing through on our way to Greenville. We had to get it towed to the shop and these guys were very honest saying they would try to look at it but they were busy, and it sounded like our jeep was having major engine issues. They got us in and ran diagnostics super quickly- and were able to get us back on the road in about an hour and a half! Everyone was so nice and helpful, great place to bring your vehicle!! :)Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

I called right when they opened and asked if they could fit me in for a pretty urgent issue. They were honest from the jump and said they were pretty full but would try. From the second i arrived, Robert was incredibly helpful and kind. They ran diagnostics on my car and helped me identify the problem before I have to take a long trip out of town this weekend. I didn t have to wait long at all and really appreciated them fitting me in.

While I didn't go here in person, I had a great experience on the phone with a travel agent. So refreshing to actually get help! She helped me line up a future trip to Tahiti and get the travel insurance I needed for that trip. So much easier than trying to wade through all of that myself. Also we are looking to another trip with her too. Excellent!!!!

They all need front desk phone training. Either they hate their job and take it out on customers or they need phone training. Will call AAA and report advisement. Would give a negative number but not an option.

I had a less than welcoming experience by the gentleman at the front desk during my visit, at one time expressing that "he is busy and so will try his best" in response to my asking him to keep me updated after he advised they are short staffed and may not be starting on my scheduled work on time.Later after the work was done, I asked to be given a printed copy of the inspection report, and the gentleman's response was like "no sir you have a copy on your phone". I assume any customer not to mention a supposedly valued member would probably expect to hear an apologetic message expressing the reason why they are being refused a printed document for a provided service. Other than that I am happy with the overall service by AAA.

Took my daughters car in and had a new alternator installed. Several months later we found out the alternator was bad and needed to be replaced under warranty. I was told over the phone that because I was not a AAA customer I would have to pay for the tow but I would be reimbursed for the tow fee if indeed the alternator was the issue. Lo and behold it was. I was then told that it would take 7-10 business days for my refund check. The time passed and I went in to check on my refund I was told that corporate wouldn t pay for my refund because I wasn t a member. WHAT??? If I was a member my toe would have been covered and we wouldn t even be having this conversation. Moral of the Story is don t trust what Eric and Robert at the front desk In Irmo SC Have to say because apparently they ll tell you anything and they are not men of their Words. Buyer Beware

Had been using this AAA location for auto service off and on for several years and appreciated the fair prices and customer service. Bought and had themmount a boat trailer spare tire a few months ago and again was very pleased with price and service. Just needed several other new boat trailer tires and was again pleased with the customer service from assistant manager when selecting and purchasing them. The moment I arrived to have them mounted the manager clearly was not happy with having to do this job. He was giving me attitude from the moment walked in the door,acted like it was a hassle with having to even start the job and that only continued throughout my time there, especially as they had a lot of problems getting trailer lug nuts off. Towards the end of the day the job wasn t completed because they ran out of time and he said be sure to take the tires with you, which I knew was likely because he didn t want to finish it. Sure enough when I called back to arrange finishing the job like had discussed with assistant manager and mechanic (both whom were friendly and helpful at least) when leaving was told they no longer are going to service or sell trailer tires. So much for the customer service they are supposed to be known for and definitely won t be going back there for any type of service again or renewing AAA membership in the future.

I have been going to this location in Irmo for about 10 years. I live on the other side of Columbia but the experience at this AAA location is so professional that I drive out of my way just to receive service there. Their reliability, politeness and professionalism is consistent. Although Mr. Robert Martin was off on the day that I last visit, he s one of my favorite car doctor front desk consultant s there.

AAA Member or not, they don t care.My car needed a new pigtail for the AC Compressor, they quoted me for a whole new compressor without even checking the electrical connections My car needs a new power steering belt, they quoted me for all three belts My car has a brand new power steering pump. Upon further inspection, a gasket/seal has failed. They quoted me for a new pump I bought my car for $1200 a few years ago and here they are quoting me $1400 for god knows what else. Don t waste your money, even for a diagnosis

Friendly, courteous, professional staff. We had a battery replacement done and only had a short wait. We have had excellent results with AAA batteries. They have been trouble free and have an excellent warranty.Service: BatteryService: Battery

Decided against taking my car here after being spoken to rudely when scheduling an appointment over the phone. AAA is supposed to help you, not put you in a bind. I have paid for a membership for 12 years and this location put the final nail in the coffin in my decision to find a different roadside assistance company and not use their car care centers any longer. I have the right to politely ask questions about service and repairs, but apparently the staff here didn't get the memo. They don't want to follow up on repairs done by AAA car care centers in other locations, but they wont come right out and say it. That is supposed to be one of the benefits of having a membership. The staff here act like they would be paying for the repairs out of their salary. They also demanded that I bring receipts for the previous repairs as if I was lying. I couldnt figure out why they couldnt just pull up the service dates and reports, but when I called to get copies emailed to me, the person I spoke to said they most definitely could see everything in the system, so me tracking down receipts wasn't necessary. However, he took the time to email the receipt to me anyway.

They were friendly and informative. I had a travel check done and the service guy didn t pressure me about what to do now. We are taking my husband s car in to determine which one to take (same model). I felt like I could trust them not to upsell and to do the service correctly. We will definitely be going back for maintenance and repair.Service: Oil change

Had my Honda towed here. I tried to call all day to see what their schedule was. every time I pressed 2 for the service department The phone disconnected. When I got there with the car all the the service manager could tell me was how busy he was and that he would be sometime next week and diagnostics fee would be $150. And that they could fix it if it wasn t this or wasn t that. And then I had to schedule another tow to the local Honda dealership. Thank you, AAA Roadside Assistance! No, thanks to AAA Car Care.

I have been getting my car serviced by AAA Irmo since October 2021. The only reason for continuing to return is that during each service, the work completed was unsatisfactory and needed to be re-addressed. When I have attempted to ask questions or have issues addressed, employees are quick to place the blame on someone else (the customer, other staff, other car care companies) rather than admit they made a mistake. Staff at this location are non-communicative not just with the customer but with one another. Additionally, I have received inspection reports recommending additional services for my vehicle. These reports have included false information, including, but not limited to, the fact that equipment on my car needed to be replaced due to high mileage & being original manufacturer parts however, due to a car accident in 2018, I have had those parts replaced twice through insurance and under warranty.The inspection report I received during my last visit (October 2022) stated that I was in need of a new air filter, wiper blades, and a realignment. All of these services were completed in June 2022 by AAA.For these reasons among many others, I will not be returning to AAA & will likely be cancelling my AAA membership as well, as I no longer wish to support this business in any way. If I could give this establishment zero stars, I would.

I've been with AAA since the mid 90s. The experience has always been great. Can't get brochures anymore until after booking a trip. Made an appointment at the Irmo location which has one travel person. Made an appointment and requested appointment for after 12 but was told the only appointment available was at noon. So I took it and explained I might be a couple minutes late but I would be there. I went to the appointment and they said it was at 1. What?? I explained I had rearranged my schedule and could not do 1. They were like oh well sorry. That was it. Looking for other options to replace them. Where has customer service gone?

I recently have purchased a new car, and sold the one AAA has serviced well in the past. The manager, Danny, and his entire staff continue to provide great service. The team even found a problem that was a Chevy warranty issue that they could have fixed, but suggested I get it done at a Chevy dealership. Danny also helped me find some tires, and an extra rim for a spare tire, for my camper trailer. My existing rims on the camper were black, but best price on a rim he could find was for a white rim. For no extra charge, Danny got a special can of spray paint (that could stand up to the assault rims take a vehicle) and painted the white rim black...himself. He simply offered that perk as a thanks for my business with them. I didn't ask for it, he just did it on his own. He even reminded me to let the person who bought my previous car know that all warranties on the services they performed on that vehicle transferred over to the new owner. Danny and the 2 gentlemen who handle auto service needs when you walk in, as well as all the guys who do the service work in the back/shop, are all great folks!Yes, performing service on one's car can expensive sometimes...so have it done by reputable people who keep in mind that they want customers to be treated like they want to be treated as a customer: only perform the service that needs to be done, perform the service properly, and be competitive in pricing of the service with others that perform the same service...in my opinion AAA auto care in Irmo SC is where you should go!Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Oil change

I have been a member for about 20 years, great customer service, very through inspection, everything is logged and documented, photos where very helpful . Warranty is 2 years 24k that is double the national average, got my vehicle done same day , due to a mistake my dealer made when inspecting my air filter, hose was never secured, cause my vehicle to stall and have to taw , dealer ship has yet not returned my call.I highly recommend AAA for all you car needs!!!!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection, Auto maintenance, Oil change

Quick with the oil change and give excellent examples on other issues you are having with vehicle that needs to be done. Staffing is super informative and computer print and text details of the problems. Also tell you need to get done urgently or it can wait then a video to tell you why the need. My favorite place for my vehicles to be fix on Lake Murray Blvd.

I had a great experience at AAA. The staff is so friendly and professional with explaining your issues in detail enough for my understanding as someone who doesn't have a mechanical mind. I really respect how they show pictures to document the issue and send email &text message with pictures and explanations of the issues. They gained my trust and will continue bringing my vehicle back when needed. Thank you so much AAA.

Greatest customer service experience I've had! I had got an unexpected flat tire after driving on the interstate and called many roadside service and towing companies in the area who could not help. Thankfully, AAA said they could help! The lady I talked to on the phone was very helpful and patient. When Kieon arrived to change my tire, he did it very efficiently and quickly, maybe took him 5 minutes. He noticed my front tire was flat and said he would put air into it so it wouldn't blow out before I got to the trie shop. He even said call me if I didn't make it and he would help me get there! Amazing service for a very stressful day for me. Would reccomend for anyone needing last minute road side service.

My experience was pleasant until I explained to Jeff why I was going to bring my car to his location instead of the one I was closest to. After receiving the details, although, he had given me an appointment time he thought it necessary to state that he had obligations to other customers before me. (This is self explanatory since I was calling in the morning amd being given a time slot for the afternoon). Then, in a very condescending/scolding tone, he told me to be prepared to have to have things replaced. I agreed because of course that's the expectation when you are taking a car to a repair shop for an issue, but when he was done, I asked since it's the same issue wouldn't it be covered under the previous repair and he cut me off abruptly and said to wait and let him look at it before speculating (his choice of wording), and that he will need to see all of the receipts from the previous visits about the issue. I find that odd since every visit i give them my information and they appear to be entering it into a computer/ system. Thank God Nissan will work me in because I do not want to take my car anywhere and have to wonder if I'm going to be unsafe on the road later because someone doesnt want to be questioned.

My car runs better than it did when it was first purchased. I usually take it to my local dealership for routine maintenance but am extremely happy I tried AAA Service in Irmo. The experience was wonderful! Great customer service and no trying to sell me services my car did not need. When I began having car troubles Monday morning (around 11), they went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. Once my car was towed here, they were able to fit me in and get things fixed so I could drive back home. The staff here are professional and the price is reasonable.
