My father Larry Blackwell is approaching his 30th year with the company at store 5400 on Asheville Hwy, Inman, South Carolina, alone. Prior to working for Advance Auto Parts in Inman, South Carolina, upon its grand opening in 1994, Larry had also worked for Advance Auto Parts as the store manager for the Laurens Rd. store in Greenville. So, my father Larry has served this company and earned much respect, from coworkers, and customers a like throughout the years. It is clear from postings on here and just talking with people throughout the Inman, South Carolina area, that Larry is a man that they trust when they come to Advance Auto Parts in Inman, South Carolina. Some even going so far as to say, one on this very review system over four years ago, that they would only come to Inman if Larry was there and that he deserved a "raise". Personally, the 1966 NASCAR Cup Series rookie of the year and well-respected crew chief, driver, and car-owner the late James Hylton and his son James Hylton Jr. thought so well of my dad that he allowed me to get to know him and his son and learn the racing business. I want to thank everyone that recognized my father's skills over the years not only as a professional, but as a human being as well. My father appreciates it as well. I am confident that the rest of his career with Advance will go as well as his career has for the first 30+ years. I know that Advance has other fine employees, as my father has spoken favorable of many of them before. Employees like my father are a rarity. There is an old saying that good help is hard to find and know that there are people that realize that as well. In fact, my father has been more than just a good help through the years. For example, I even remember, back when I was a little boy and began attending school at Inman Christian Academy, it just so happened that we found out my father had fixed my Principal and friend Jeff Cochran's wife's car once at Advance Auto Parts in Inman. Thank you once again to all of those that have recognized my father's skill, professionalism, and integrity. I hope, but I think that they do, Advance Auto Parts realizes a great employee when they see it in my father Larry.Sincerely,Kyle Elliott Blackwell

Great customer service. If they don't have the part you're looking for, they'll find it for you at one of there other locations, hold it for you to pick up, or have it shipped to the location of your choice.

Went to return a battery. I didn't have a receipt which shouldn't be a problem since they put my name in the computer. The guy told me I couldn't get a core without receipt. So I went home and found the receipt just to stand there a few hours because the scanner wouldn't read the barcode that was printed perfectly on the paper. I was then told that I need to take a pic of my receipts anytime I buy something to avoid this problem... Um no I'll just go somewhere else...

I have been a loyal customer for years simply because if you need a part or automotive related item you can find it there. If they don't happen to have it in stock it can usually be at the store the next day and the staff is always helpful.

Went here to drop off a package to return it to Amazon. The man told me that it had to be packaged and labeled properly. When I went to an official UPS Store, they took it as is without a label.

The experience I had at that parts store was horrible. No one wanted to wait on us. We spent almost $200.00 on a battery. They advertise free battery installation with purchase of battery but the whole time he was installing my battery he was complaining. He said we are not mechanics. I don't know why we have to do this. He did not say that just one time he repeatedly said it the whole time he was installing the battery. He was very rude and very unprofessional. By the way this place is located in Inman South Carolina. I will never go there again.

The staff here are great. They were very patient with me when I came in with a list of stuff I needed. Kevin and Brandon were knowledgeable and very helpful. I will be coming back again.

They have gotten better on treating bikers with a little bit more respect as they do the car people as I've said before if they're going to sell a few bike stuff then they need to treat bikers the same way as they do car people

I appreciate places like Advance. The staff is usually quite friendly and helpful. They won't have all parts in stock, but can usually get them in short order. They will help with some troubleshooting such as checking batteries and OBD codes.

Had a Gold battery with a 3 year warranty. The battery failed with just 5 days left on the warranty. Advance Auto Parts cheerfully honored the warranty and even installed the new battery. This kind of customer service is why I keep going back. A++

Always helpful, but can't always afford to pay the elevated prices for the convenience. Prices for some items are extremely high.
