With only 2 days of vacation left, our car began running roughly in the evening. We took it in at 8 am Friday morning, concerned because they were closing early for Veterans Day and are not open Saturdays. Our car was ready around noon on Friday. We walked back to pick it up. What great service! Thank you!

I had a slow leak in the tire and I brought it to the Island Tire South End. They removed the tire and discovered that it had two old plugs in the side wall. They warned me that it was very dangerous to be driving on a tire like that. They filled the tire and sent me to the local airport to exchange the car for a new one. The Hertz agent was very nice and replaced the car in about 20 minutes. Island tire wrote a perfect description of the problem and never charged me for the effort.

We were vacationing and had a concern about my brakes. They got me right in and checked it out and confirmed that everything was good for our travels home! Friendly, fast service and more than fair price! Thank you!

Pleasant experience. Grateful to have the job done so quickly. We were on vacation and needed the brakes checked. They accommodated us first thing in the morning, gave estimate for replacing brakes, arranged to get the parts the same day and had the job completed before 3pm. They were efficient and courteous in their service.

Outstanding service is an understatement. I'm stunned to say the least at the communication and friendliness of the team. They went over what I expected in terms of courtesy and the price point of my repair. In my humble opinion only a fool would look elsewhere to have their vehicle serviced anywhere else. I recommend Island tire and service above any vehicle service center on the island.

If you want great service and a friendly, helpful atmosphere, come here. My boss has paid the bills, but from what I've seen, the price are at least fair, and probably good prices. Very good vehicle repair company

Oh wow!!! Where do I start. I can not believe how nice and accommodating island tire auto service is. My wife and I driving from St. Louis MO acquired 2 slow leaks in 2 tires on my car. I decided to pull into island tire's gas station(the day of my arrival), to fill my tires, as they were low, and the gentleman that was managing the gas station side informed me they do tire repair. When I checked into the automotive service side to make an appointment, the lady at the desk, (I believe her name is Jennifer)asked me if my car was there. She then told me to give her my keys as they would check the tires "now". As she stated..... "no need to wait if your car is already here". Her only requirement was that I go get my wife out of the car before the pull it into the garage bay. .....lol!!! The mechanic got my car into the garage within 5 minutes, patched the 2 slow leaks (one screw and one nail), and got us on our way back to vacationing within 30 minutes. And, they were busy when we pulled in. Wow!!! If it wasn't a 12 hour drive for me, this would be my auto service center for my cars.Service there is impeccable, professional,.and just down right nice and courteous. Everyone was nice. Also, they have the cleanest most welcoming waiting area I have ever experienced in any shop. THANK YOU SO MUCH TO JENNIFER, AND THE ENTIRE STAFF OF HILTON HEAD ISLAND'S, ISLAND TIRE AND AUTOMOTIVE. I was told the day before they were too busy to repair a tire that picked up a screw, but each day is first come- first served. I was the first in line November 30, and was told they had many sets of new tires to do before I could be served, and I had to leave my car with them all day. Badly misinformed and disappointed, with my time wasted, I feel this review appropriate.

In town on vacation and was in need of an A/C recharge after a warm drive here. From the initial phone call to get a quote to the checkout process, it was all surprise AND all delight. I was given an estimate of a couple of hours to complete the service. 70 minutes later, my phone rings and my car is ready. This allowed our family of four to resume our vacation promptly. Knowledgeable and friendly staff who know how to run a business. If all auto repair shops were like this, there wouldn t be the fear associated with taking your car in for a tune up. The rave reviews are legit, y all. And so is the cold air blowing from my vents. On behalf of my wife and girls, thanks in advance for a comfy drive home. Service: Auto A/C recharge

We were vacationing on Hilton Head Island when the low-tire-pressure warning light came on. They checked all my tires and inflated all of them to the proper pressure at no charge! Thanks for your help!

I pretty much never write reviews. But it has been a long time since I ve experienced someone that actually appreciates their customers like Jennifer and the Island Tire staff. Without going into all of the detail, we had issues with our rental car tires. We were very desperate for help bc the entire incident over past few days was awful (thanks to Avis :(. I went in late morning on a Friday and they could not have been friendlier or more helpful!! We traveled down from Michigan. But if I lived within 20 miles of these guys, I d make the drive for any service that they do. Thanks a ton from my entire family!

I cannot speak highly enough of the people who work here. We were on vacation and leaving the next day when our car popped a check engine light. We called everyone on the island and were told they were booked out for days. We called Island Tire and they said they were first come, first serve, but if we were able to drop it off before 5pm, they would look at it first thing. We were supposed to check out by 10am, so time was an issue and we dropped it off around 4:30pm. I got a phone call the next morning 45 minutes after they opened saying they had resolved the issue and it was ready to be picked up. The front counter gentleman is well mannered and pleasant to talk to, and completely professional. I cannot recommend them enough for their kindness, quickness, and availability for assistance when we needed it most.

The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Service is first come first served, so no appointment needed. They had to get special parts and we're still able to get the repairs done in a few hours.

They are honest !! , Thought for sure I had picked up a nail as my vehicle was saying "drop in pressure front right", took my vehicle in, they water tested the tire..no leak and they reset all the tire pressures and then did no charge as there was "no repair so no charge" they could have easily ripped me off and DID NOT ... I tipped the tech for his time and wow ...made my day that there are still such great places, on the road with peace of mind ;) THANK YOU

Oil change, First come-first served. Great service! Get there early, they open at 8am. Park your car, go inside as soon as they open to get on the schedule. Be patient. Patrick at the front desk was really friendly.

Really impressive operation. People working the intake and checkout process were professional, fast, and personable. I needed a tire repaired and expected that, because the parking lot was full and there were lots of people waiting in the lobby , my wait would be long. The staff at Island Tire seem to take all this in stride and a reasonable time later I was driving away with a repaired tire. All the customers I encountered seemed happy and confident in the service they received - tires, alignments, etc.. I'll be back for other repairs.Service: Tires

Blew out my tire in the middle of the tropical storm on Wednesday evening, talked to Patrick Thursday Morning, and had a new, perfectly matched tire Friday before noon. Life savers and also gave me a heads up my rear brakes were nearly worn out, but could make it back to GA the next day. 1000% recommend!

Excellent service. Pleasant friendly workers. Daniel saw my wife and I outside rolling in a flat tire and ran right out to help . Jennifer was a dream to work with inside. Always go here for needed repairs. Honest and hard working staff. They deserve more than 5 stars.

Highly recommend you go here if you need a tire repaired / replaced. We were down here on vacation and hit a curb with a steel grate in town and blew my front right tire. Stopped in the next morning when they opened and they had a tire for me the next day. They mounted, balanced and rotated my tires for a very reasonable price. Staff are extremely respectful and responsive.

I've used Island Tire for the past 4 years for all kinds of problems, Tire issues, internal engine repairs, lighting replacements and every time I use them I am extremely happy with their level of mechanical service and their front desk personal. I bring the car in early and I always get it back completely repaired on the same day. I wholeheartedly recommend Island Tire for all your auto service needs.Services: Tires, Electrical, Oil change

I had an issue with my exhaust. I thought I was going to be a BIG job! Island looked at it and quickly diagnosed the problem. They assured me it wasn t anything major and I could wait (if I wanted to) to take it to my mechanic in NJ. They didn t charge me anything! I was SO grateful for their honesty! They are a first rate operation! I highly recommend them!!

Our car had an issue with the axle while we were in town for a couple days of vacation. They fixed it quickly and we were still able to depart on time. Price was fair and as quoted.

June 2021 they sold me 4 tires. 11 months later had to replace 2 of them because they were worn out. Had driven 22k miles. Last week had to replace a third one because belt broken. Was told by Firestone that the tires were old when they were put on my car and should have been able to get more than 32k miles from them.Last week that bad tire had me stranded in I95 alone.Do Not Trust these people!!!!

This place and the people who work here are amazing! I came in this morning because of a flat tire...nothing like waking up to a flat tire. The wait was under an hour (I tried to get there as close to the time that they open). The cost to repair was incredibly low - I seriously thought I was going to have to pay for a new tire or two - but they were able to patch instead saving a ton of $$. It was nice to go to a place and not feel like they are taking advantage of you. I will use them again and again since I live right around the corner. Thanks Island Tire!Service: Tires

Brought my tire in to see if it could be patched/plugged after I had it at the Shell Station one service center and they said it couldn t be done. They wanted me to purchase another tire for $200-300. Island tire took one look and said no problem. Only issue was we had an appointment and they were closing. They were nice enough to take my card info and leave the tire outside for me to pick up when I passed after they were closed. Some of the nicest people we met on the island! Highly recommend this location. I would stay away from the shell station one.Service: Tires

So of course, at the very end of our family vacation, on a weekend, our older Camry stalled on the highway and threw a "throttle actuator control" trouble code. Had it towed to Island Tire, who (after cleaning proved unsuccessful) replaced the throttle body within a few hours of it arriving in the shop, despite the fact that I'm sure they were busy with scheduled appointments. The following day we drove the car 500 miles home with no issues. Island Tire did excellent and fast work, and while that kind of work won't be cheap, they were fair. In a situation like that, time is money, and their quick turnaround saved me a lot. Thanks for your honesty and good work, and for helping our family get a bad experience resolved as quick as possible.
