This was the worst experience I have ever had with a mechanic and I am 62 years old! I would give them -10 if I coud. I brought my car to them at 8am and asked them to please check the brakes because I thought they might need replacing and I was driving a long distance soon. I asked them to also check the oil because the car had an oily smell when turned off. They were to call me with the cost before doing work and I was going to pick the car back up at 4:30pm. No one called. I called at 1:40 and was told by the older man that he didn't know anything and would call me back. Called back 10 minutes later and said there was oil all over my engine and he would text me a photo. I told him I didn't need a photo, just tell me what needs to be done and the cost. He said they didn't know what the problem was. I asked if anyone checked the brakes, he said no. He texted the photo a few minutes later and said there was too much oil to tell where it is coming from and that I need both front and back brakes replaced. Then texted that I need to clean up the oil, drive it around for a couple of days and recheck the oil. What kind of mechanic tells someone to drive around in a car that needs brakes and is leaking oil!!! What kind of mechanic can't figure out how to repair a car that has oil on it?!! In reality, it was a gross exaggeration, there isn't that much oil (see photo). I told him I would be picking up my car. He sent a text apologizing saying that too many things happened that morning that was beyond their control. Unbelievable! Very unprofessional!

Sold my used car here. Process was quick and easy, Roger and his son were kind good honest people. Everyone in there was friendly. Got more money than other places offered me. Would definitely do business there again.

What a great place. I was dubious because there were so many five star reviews but I am now a believer! I purchased a set of tires at a price better than anyone else. Also got an oil change and rotation on another car. No more dealership service for me - Moon is now my place. It should be your place as well!

Jamie & the guys and Moon s are all great! I was referred by a friend and she trusts them implicitly. I did not hesitate to do the repairs they suggested and, compared to Subaru dealership, their repairs were an outstanding value.

Took my car in last week to check on brakes and rotors. I was fully prepared to have to fix them. It turns out that my rotors likely have a warranty from the previous place that repaired them. He suggested I speak to them about the warranty. I was blown away by the honesty. I know nothing about cars, so he could have easily taken advantage of my ignorance to make $. He didn't even charge me a fee to look at the car! Really great, honest people here. I will be back for sure the next time my car needs maintenance.

My Daughter's car would not open gas access door or close the trunk. She was on her way back home to Myrtle Beach. They disconnected faulty cable, opened gas door, and trunk is latching with the key fob. Said she could contact garage near home to order a new cable and fix properly. Got her back on the road in less than 30 minutes. Did not even charge her, but definitely won my loyalty for the future. Really good people!

Great experience. Called ahead for an oil change because three other places were too busy. They fit me in in just a few minutes and the whole experience was quick and painless. The men were all very friendly and even offered me donuts while I waited. A very humble shop with great service.

I am not one to write reviews but I felt I had to share how amazing these guys are. I ve taken my car there about 3 or 4 times after one of my friends told me about them. They truly treat you like family, are extremely nice, and have great prices! I will never stop going to these guys I drive all the way from Simpsonville a 30 min drive and it s well worth the drive every single time! Thank you and keep up the great work there needs to be more Tire and Auto services like Moon Tire and Auto.

These guys are great! They are very nice people and they treat you with kindness. They do an excellent job. Its nice to go to a hometown type place instead of a big box store where you're just a number.

Brought truck to Moon s to have all tires swapped with the new tires I provided. Was quickly pulled in by the staff. During tire change staff noticed I brought wrong ply tires for my truck and called me immediately to explain issue. They stop the work and put everything back the way they found it and did not charge me a dime although I still offered to pay they declined. Couldn t ask for a better business in the area that really cares about their customers. Thank you and I will be back with the correct ply tires so they can change them

My faith in mankind has once again been restored.I took my truck to Moon Tire & Auto on Wednesday, February 15th, 2022 at 10:30 in the morning. After explaining my dilemma with my truck, the gentleman at the counter said they we re extremely busy but would take my truck in, scan it for problems and call me with what work needed to be done and get my approval for repairs.I didn t hear from them the rest of the day but bright and early on Thursday morning I called them and found out that s they had diagnosed it and it was pretty much a simple problem. They made a simple repair and then called me to come and pick up my truck.No charge whatsoever for the diagnostic tests. Great company, great people and I was very pleased with what happened. What could ve been an unlimited repair ended up costing me absolutely nothing.My faith in mankind has been restored and you ve earned a loyal customer and I ll be back and more importantly, I ll tell all my friends.Thank you Moon Auto.Ron Lyman

Very very disappointed with service. They replaced stuff on car without authorization. The manager tells me there nothing they can do about a transmission leak that I didn't have until car was serviced by them. Then I talk with a guy who wasn't even working there when my car was worked on and he tells me there's nothing they can do. They didn't give proper info nor full info about warranty on part. I don't recommend no one to take there car there for service.

Fantastic service, reasonable cost, and personable environment! I've been coming to Moon's for many years for general maintenance, tires, and major repairs. Roger and Jamie are like family, dedicated to providing for their customers. Highly recommend!

Being a 35 year veteran in the auto Industry, I have a special viewpoint when it comes to Tire and Auto repair facilities.First, Jamie and his Dad, KNOW the tire business.Secondly, their seasoned staff of professionals get the job done right and quickly.Thirdly, I price shopped a dozen or more tire stores and they had the best price by a good margin.Lastly, my only regret was not finding out about them sooner.Great Job! I'm totally impressed!5 STARS - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Have a 2003 VW with some unique cosmetic issues. Low priority as car runs well. Moon rep listened, took notes and said someone would call after they researched. I was very pleased with Moon rep's professional performance.

Fair and honest, and good about not doing anything until they confirm it with you. Extremely competitive prices, too they refused to charge me for diagnosing an issue they couldn't fix. Small auto parts store inside as well. Only two minor caveats you should be aware of: They don't do transmissions; and their prices and quality are so good that there's always a long queue of cars ahead of yours. That's another testimonial to their quality and prices in its own right, of course.

I came here on my brothers recommendation. Very happy. Good people, fair prices. I ran a motor pool in the army. I know good work when I see it. You will not be disappointed.

Moon Tire & Auto is family owned and operated business. They service several people from all across the Upstate and I fine the staff to be very friendly. They always make me feel like they appreciate my business. I have allowed them to service and repair all of my vehicles. I have had no issues. I would highly recommend there services.

Fantastic people to work with! In this industry, it can be hard to find people who are honest, helpful, and will not take advantage of you. I am 100% satisfied with Moon Tire & Auto and thank them for their wonderful customer service! They are hardworking, professional, and have very fair prices. All around 5-Stars!

I got a new tire for a great price. They we're the cheapest friendliest mechanic I have been too I plan to use them for future services. They are a open book of knowledge they answered all my questions with efficiently and they were a all around pleasure to deal with.

Just want to give a big thank you to Moon's Tire and Auto Repair. They repaired my tire that I85 decided to flatten this morning. I saw a few other examples of great customer service while here. It is good to know a small town dealer and repair shop can still make it. They seemed to really want to take care of their customers. Thank You!!!

Just as a point of contention I will say that the Melissa girl who gave a one star rating literally said "I don't know the store" so please ignore the one star rating they received (since it's not relevant at all!). They are very friendly, since it is a family business, and they do not raise prices on you or constantly try to upsell you. They give you great prices and great service, very highly recommend !

This place is such a deal. Such friendly mechanics. They even snuck me in right when I called in because they had a window of opportunity. Low cost, great service, and weren't all about jacking up the price on you.They even quoted me on some future tires and you won't find a deal like what they quoted anywhere. 10/10 use Moon Tire & Auto.
