Tim at Advantage auto is a mechanic that is honest and knowledgeable at his work, many mechanics no longer carry both of these pillars anymore. I would go to say that anyone in a 50 mile radius should be taking there car or truck over here for mechanical issues or general maintenance.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

I began taking all of my automobiles to Tim for service several years ago. He's on top of things, his prices are reasonable, and he is kind and upfront. After having a terrible experience with another NAPA auto care center, NAPA USA referred me to Advantage auto to have a transmission replaced in my wife's 07 Honda fit. They covered all of the labor costs but I had to pay for the used transmission. After replacing the transmission, I came back several times for adjustments and check ups and there was never any additional charges. Advantage is a family owned business and display honor and integrity and all of their work.

Tim is an honest mechanic. He provides excellent service at competitive prices. I trust him to fix only what is broken, and I appreciate that he gives a plan of action for the future. (Example "Your transmission fluid will need to be changed out next year" or "Next oil change we need to replace your air filter." He also sticks to the price quoted. I have never felt he was trying to upsell me on the repair. I highly recommend this repair shop.

I ve been looking for a good, trustworthy mechanic for a very long time and I ve finally found one. I ve taken my vehicle to Tim twice now and he is always very nice and provided great communication about my vehicle. He is fast and the prices can t be beat. I won t take any of my vehicles to anyone else.

I m pretty new to the area and was put in contact with this shop through a trusted coworker. I ve always had family friends work on our cars, so I never had to take it to a shop and taking it to a shop I was unfamiliar with worried me that I (as a female in my early 20s) could potentially also be taken advantage of due to my lack of knowledge. The team at Advantage Auto was completely honest and had thorough, in-depth communication when it came to explaining issues with my vehicle. They proceeded only after my approval due to my tight budget and had my car done in two days. I honestly felt the same respect I ve always felt from my family friends who have worked on my vehicles. My wife and I just moved to Greer and needed some work done on our car. We could not be happier with the work done by Advantage Auto. Tim is honest, forthright about pricing, was willing to teach me about the parts that needed fixing, and above all did great work. Thanks for everything Tim!

Tim was fantastic, truck died in the parking lot of Greer Middle, went with Tim because, well he was close by, and we lucked out. He was rapid in his response, gracious and funny. Just got under the truck and got it into a drive-able state, gave us directions, and even a lift back to the school after he set up the truck. Service was reasonably fast while in the shop and the price was more than fair. All in all I can't say enough about him. I seriously wish I could put +++ after the five stars. Thank you again Tim & Co.!

Tim is one the best mechanics we have ever worked with. He is always ready to explain the problems with the car and his solutions for it. Very honest, dependable. When he says that the car will be finished by a certain time, it always is.

Tim and the rest of the staff are incredible! They are thorough, reasonably priced, and are full of integrity. Furthermore, they are a family owned and operated business. You won't find a better shop in the Upstate!

I have found these guys to be the best in the business. I had to move from the area this last year, and finding a new mechanic in a new city is never any fun. I really miss Tim and Shelley. They are great people!

I needed to get some work done on my pickup, so I called the shop to arrange dropping off my truck for repair. The person that answered the phone was very unhelpful and rude. If they can not tell you the hours they are open for business, I could only imagine the problems I will have after they try to fix my truck. This place has terrible customer service . 2-10-2010
