Went with my parents to purchase their first boat. They picked it out at the boat show this year. Gunnells made the process super simple and easy. They patiently went over everything during the buying process and delivery process. Showed them how everything works on the boat and made sure they where comfortable. Was treated like family with the utmost respect. I even bought a few things for my boat while I was there. I will be purchasing from them again. Very humble and down to earth staff!!!! Would give 100 if I could. GREAT JOB!!!!!

When I went here I didn t expect to be able to walk out the same day with a brand new mercury for my boat. I wasn t sure what process I was going to have to go through but I was not looking forward to having to wait out a warm weekend that I could be enjoying the lake on my boat. However in less than 4 hours they had all the paper work finished and my new mercury motor installed on my boat and I was headed to the boat ramp. They made the process very easy and even let me watch them test out the motor and showed me how all the different features worked.

I attended a boat show and spoke to the owner of Gunnells about various boats. In deciding which trailer to also purchase, he said unless I planned to take the boat to other lakes (which I don't) that I didn't really need a trailer. He explained how his company has a policy of coming to my particular lake to service boats, and if I scheduled the service when a neighbor also needed service, the service charge for making the trip would be split among anyone who participated. Additionally, when I went to the dealership to purchase the boat, the salesman, Mark, repeated this same promise. HOWEVER, THIS IS NOT TRUE!!! I needed warranty work performed and so did my next door neighbor. Gunnells refused to do work on his boat until the part for my boat came in. They put him off for a full two months. When my part finally came in, Gunnells did both our repairs, but charged each of us for the full service fee. To put him off for two months and then still charge him the full fee, and to charge me the full fee as well is unacceptable. Both the owner and the sales agent lied to me. I will not support this business and will be sure everyone in my neighborhood knows about the deception as well. Yes, they FINALLY did agree to split my fees in 2019 AFTER I reminded them (repeatedly) of their promise. Oh yes, and several other neighbors had to call them to complain then, as well. Even in their posted reply, they stated that they didn't change their policy until 2020, so I shouldn't have had to request them to honor their promise in 2019.

Can't rave enough about Gunnells! Working with Mark on our boat order went so smoothly. He listened to our needs and suggested items we had not thought of along with recommendations on add ons that did not really have a return on the investment to help us cut costs. That's what customer service is all about!

The only reason I gave them a 1 is there are no zeros.I have been a professional Technician for many years. My friend brought a boat in to be diagnosed and repaired and they charged well over $200.00 and did nothing. I had to bring it home to my shop and replace the fuel filter, clean the fuel tank and replace the fuel line and primer bulb because of bad fuel purchased on lake Greenwood. I spoke with them and they said they could not duplicate the problem. Whatever happen to looking for the obvious.

My wife and I purchased a boat at the Greenville, SC boat show. Very pleased from the first introduction all the way to the closing date. Gwen and Ron made sure we understood the whole process. By far the most painless purchases I ve ever made. I live much closer to other dealerships but plan on driving a little further to service my boat because I know we are in good hands

I was looking for a part for my boat engine and figured I would give them a try. The lady that helped me was very rude. She acted like I was a inconvenience to her. On top of that they wanted $375 for a $100 part. While I was in there I asked if the did financing on new motors. The woman was rude again and said I would have to talk to someone else. Just overall a bad experience.

Beware! We bought a new motor from them, not cheap! We broke down on the lake. We ARE their customers, so we call them. The person that answered said we can t help you . No suggestions, no nothing. We break down a 2nd time, managed to get to a friend s place where we had to leave it. We go to their store, explain what happened. She says they make service calls for people who do not have trailers, WE would have to bring it in. She stated they may have to take it down the lake to diagnose. We said it s on the lake not far from here, can t you make a service call? She said no. This also happened to a relative, but he bought a new pontoon, not cheap! Ok, so we will not recommend them nor will we bother them again. That s the way we felt - we were a bother. Once they make the sell - well you re on your own.....

Recently purchased a used Tig boat and took it to them for service. First visit cost almost 3k to drain old gas and check the boat over. No major repairs, only to get it home and the transmission color was leaking and could not run it. The next summer, we didn t winterize it(our fault) and took it back only to find out we had to have a new motor. They told me the cost to replace the old one would be 8k. I told them I thanks and told them I would come get the boat. When I got there, we were told it cost $500 to replace a $10 freeze plug. Long story short, I called Tig directly and they assisted us with getting a brand new motor for the boat for 3k. So glad I didn t let them replace the motor. Unless you have very deep pockets, I don t recommend them.

2/5/2018We were looking for a used boat and found one listened at Gunnells'. After receiving more information as requested we drove from Akron, OH to Greenwood, SC (600 miles) on Sunday night/Monday morning. There we met Mark Murff who had the boat ready to go out on the water. The boat was 16 years old and although it was used, you could tell it was taken care of and had nothing out of the ordinary for wear. There were a couple of issues that surfaced once we got out on the water. These issues were taken care of at no charge to us when we got back to the Marina. The trailer didn't come with a spare tire and they didn't have one to give us. Barney referred us to their local tire shop where they had been buying tires for years (Bishop Tires). You hear horror stories of people getting ripped off and taken advantage of. I am happy to say that the information we found on their website was accurate. We worked with Mark on the sale of our boat, Barney got us a good price on the tire, Gwen got us information that we requested, and Buddy took care of the repairs that were needed as he was pointing out items to properly service the engine and outdrive. We ended up paying their asking price and were happy with the way we were treated. We would recommend them to anyone looking to make a boating purchase. We felt their price was fair and their service was great.

We needed a part for our boat last Saturday. After calling, we found out they closed at 1. I wasn't going to make it by that time so my husband called and they waited on me! And when I got there I received EXCELLENT customer service! Great folks who had just the part we needed! You can't find this type of service anywhere else. They actually cared and that means a LOT! I HIGHLY recommend them!

We had a good shopping experience here, very helpful and knowledgeable staff, no pressure. Gunnells' has a good selection of new boats, but no used boats at the time we were shopping. We ended up buying a used boat elsewhere. We have gone back to Gunnells' for accessories because they are conveniently located near Lake Greenwood.

The service was fine and the problems with our boat were addressed. However, once we took the boat home we realized that the rugs were covered in oil, really sloppy work. We spent hours getting the stains out of everything.

I am not from the area, but found a boat my family liked on Gunnell's website. Mark Murff was exceptional, answering questions, and providing extra photos and information. We put a deposit on the boat and went to check it out. The whole Gunnell's team was freindly and helpful in going over the boat and testing it. Their efforts exceeded my expectations. Also have to give Mark another <well earned> Thank You. He suggested an alternate place to quote insurance - it was a great savings over the insurer we were going to use. We even moved a PWC we already owned to the company he suggested, saving a little more. It's nice when someone is looking out for you and helps you avoid "rookie mistakes". Can't thank the team enough. I would recommend Gunnell's and Mark to anyone interested in buying a boat.

Gunnells marine installed a convex vx on my 2014 Tige R20. This was their first time with this type of installation which proved to be very difficult. Although that made me a bit nervous, they assured me it would look like factory. I have to say they were totally correct. It came out perfect and better than I expected. This has to be one of the best experiences I've had with a dealership. If you have a Tige, I highly recommend you call Chad. He will take good care of you.

They charge out the you know what for labor. I could get all the parts myself for 300. They gave me an estimate for 1600 dollars. 1300 for labor is insane
