I have to have a pretty exceptional experience to feel like I need to go leave a five star review but North Hills auto definitely earned this review. After getting a water pump replaced I had an issue with my headlight that required the entire assembly be replaced. it was a little bit of a tossup whether or not the damage had happened during the previous service but North Hills wanted to make sure that I wasn t coming out of pocket for something that may have been their fault. They replaced the headlight assembly free of charge and cleaned and restored the other headlight assembly so they would match and look great. I couldn t be more pleased with the service or more thankful for their policy of making sure their customers are taken care of. They ve definitely earned me as a long-term customer and this was my first experience with them. I get the impression that they would treat anyone else off the street the same way.

Charged me $60, without warning, to tell me I had the same oil leak they ALREADY diagnosed (for $120) at my last visit. Three hours for an oil change (not a walk in!); last time it was six. They couldn t find the oil changes left on my account from the inspection package, when I had only used two. They must not keep note of that. Done giving this place my time unless they start doing something very differently.. I used to appreciate the service.

Took in my car to have an oil leak fixed and left with a bill over $900 for that specifically. However, just a few days later, I'd noticed that the same leak persisted at the same cadence and position on pavement. I went back, and the most they could offer me was to put dye in it so I could bring it back to better diagnose and fix it. I've been to too many awful mechanics to know that when they don't do it right the first time, and you ask them to fix it again, they continue to upcharge you.It's a farce that mechanics like these people can do their work either so poorly or intentionally incorrect that you end up paying double (or even triple) the amount really needed. Please do not be fooled by their comfortable waiting area or shuttle service. They are bad at what they do, and you will pay money to potentially not have your car serviced correctly.

The whole team here really goes above and beyond expectations for an automotive shop! I was super impressed by the customer service and ease of getting things resolved quickly. Not to mentiok, everything is super clean in there. North Hills is my new go-to shop!

As has been my experience every time I visit North Hills Automotive, all of the work was completed on a Timely basis, actually ahead of schedule and to my complete satisfaction!North Hills is the only shop I use for service on my Mazda CX-9.

Best automotive shop in Greenville. They stand behind all of their work with a lifetime warranty and they really do back it up. I had to bring back my vehicle twice they never charged me anything for the follow-ups and they took care of the issue remaining at no cost. Talk to Joey he's awesome.Update on the latest experience with them:March 28, 2023North Hills automotive has a lifetime warranty around all of their work. I travel to Charleston every week for my job so I have to make sure my vehicle is reliable. North Hills is so serious about their warranty for their work they went above and beyond for me. My vehicle overheated after a prior repair. I knew they would stand behind it, but I was in a little trouble because I was all the way down in Charleston. That said, someone from the company happened to be down in the area in Charleston and drove over to me to help me at least get my situation going so I could get to the hotel I m staying at and try to figure out a way to get it fixed. It s honestly one of the best customer experiences I ve ever seen. North Hills does quality work and of course they can t guarantee this type of extraordinary help every time but when they were able to help they did, and that meant a lot.

Very efficient, hard working, and will fix your vehicle in a timely manner. Even offered a shuttle that took my husband to work 20 minutes away after dropping my car off in the morning. Would recommend this place over and over!

Service has declined sharply over the last few years. I used them for 8 years because they were close to my work. While they were always more expensive than other options, I justified it due to their shuttle service and figuring they would do a better job with the vehicle than budget service centers.However, over the last couple years, scheduling a simple oil change and tire rotation has required a week notice, and sitting and waiting is rarely an option. Costs have still remained much higher than other service centers, and the scheduling has continued to get worse rather than better. They apparently have too much business to handle, so it's surprising that they can't afford additional techs.I bought a 4-pack of oil changes at a discount several months back. I've got two left, and won't be using them. It's inconvenient enough to schedule with them that at this point I might as well go to my dealership. It'll be more cost-effective, at least.Edit - thanks for the reply. As you mentioned - I was 45 minutes late 8:45 am instead of 8:00am) to the oil change I scheduled a full week ahead of time, since you couldn t get me in the previous week. Your offer to have me leave my truck would not work, as I needed it by lunchtime. If my memory correctly serves of my conversation with Joey, trying again the following day would not work, so I could schedule again for the following Thursday, which would then be two weeks after my initial contact to get a simple oil change / rotation conducted.Agree - this is not a quick lube , but I also was not scheduling a major service, so I feel very fair in my expectations and review.

First visit here with our Hyundai and could not be more happy with the customer service! Kind of worried to rate them too highly and then not be able to get my car in again. These guys know what they re doing. They figured out what was wrong with my son s car, made a next day appt, got it done that day, paid over the phone and picked up later that night. They even helped me further by finding out what the siding material was on their building and calling me back with the details! I mean, who does that? Really great place and we will be back!

Very professional staff up front, nice guys. Prices are pretty standard for the industry. I ve give them 2.5 stars if possible. I had them work on 2 of my cars. One car I had to bring back to them 3-4 times because of continuing issues with some parts they replaced. The other car, they replaced the rear brake calipers and pads. There was a rattle for a while, brought it back and had the brakes replaced again, rattle didn t go away. I ended up looking at it myself. Rear drivers tire wasn t secured all the way, 2 lug nuts were loose. The rear passenger side had 3 of the 5 wheel studs cross threaded/stripped. The rear brakes which they replaced were missing the shims which caused the rattle. I ended up fixing everything myself but the fact that the tires were not secured properly and had a few wheel studs cross threaded was disappointing.Like I said earlier, very professionally staff upfront, nice guys. However we had continuing issues with work the did.Services: Auto brake repair, Engine repair

Best automotive mech shop I ve ever dealt with. Truly honest gentlemen that not only offer the best service, but also don t try to oversell you. They will tell you everything that could be fixed, But more importantly tell you what is critical to keep your auto running at that time. I couldn t recommend this place more

After the dealership gave me the runaround, they were able to service my vehicle with no issue. Everyone I spoke with was courteous and professional. We have brought our E-350 Ford van in for service several times, each time it went very well. Staff is always professional, friendly and helpful. Prices are pretty decent, I totally trust them in their assessment of what the problem is. The only mechanic shop I go to. I love their shuttle service, it has helped us on multiple occasions. Lifetime warranty is also a huge bonus, never have had to use it but a great plus. Great job North hills.

Fantastic. They did the work that needed to be done with $300 and Killians down the road wanted over $500 just to tell me what was wrong with it not even including the repairs. They also have a free shuttle. Very professional clean atmosphere and people.

Always great service. They are one of the few places we trust for our cars. Originally the were recommended to us and as we talk to people, they keep being recommended. Nice waiting area and good communication on repairs.

They really wanted me to pay over 6k for repairs all at once. They wanted to do all the work at once and not fix what's broken. They wanted to replace everything with new parts not because it was broken but because it could break a few months later. I understand preventive maintenance but I think it should be a customer choice. I asked what can be done with 3k? He said I'm not going to have my guys do all that work if we can't do it all at once it's a waste of time. What's a waste of time because last time i check the customer pays for repair? It makes me believe they wanted to charge me a high labor bill if I said yes to do all that work. Guess I will take my 6k worth of repairs somewhere else.I end up fixing my own car for $26!! The problem was a camshaft sensor.

Took SIX VISITS for them to fix an issue with my brakes and even then they have squeaked ever since (which they weren't even doing when I took it in.) Googling the issue suggested it could be due to cheap replacement parts, which was how they remedied the first issue (putting in better brake pads.) After taking it back the first time, I was told no one could duplicate the problem. Second time, was told the grinding noise my brakes were making ever since they fixed them "wasn't indicative of functionality and I would just have to live with it." Got worse so I took it in a third time, at which point they agreed it was getting worse and "fixed it" but it took that plus two more visits for them to finally get them to stop grinding. However, they still squeaked. At that point, I gave up and less than a year later they grind like they did before and still squeak. Every time I had to take it in, it was a day or more without my car, and at least an hour out of my day, which is a pretty considerable hardship for a mom of four. Great service other than the guy who tried to convince me the problem didn't exist. Clean facility, nice to have a ride back home and back up there while work is being done.Service: Brakes

A/C repair on 2008 Honda Ridgeline. Took in w/o appointment 7:30AM; Repair completed by 4:00PM. Diagnosis: leak in condenser2compressor hose. Repair cost $855 (Ouch), but have to assume cost was fair based on many positive reviews of NHA. Based on this first time experience w/NHA I would use again and give a positive recommendation. And, they did call to give estimate of repair $$ and get my approval for repair before proceedig. Thanks for timely service!Services: Auto A/C recharge, A/C installation & repair

My car had a bad vibration while excelleration, I had already had it at 2 separate shops and spent over 500 dollars for the problem to still exist. I called North Hill, they got my car in and fixed. Great service and very polite. I would recommend them to anyone.

Joey, Jay and T.J. always take good care of my family's vehicles. I've never had any issues that they couldn't fix. We took my wife's Kia to a local shop in Pickens 5 times to address an issue. After the 5th time we gave up and drove here. They figured it out in 1 visit. The car is still running strong months later. If you're looking for a good, honest car mechanic this is the place to go!

This place treated me more like family than my own does, they went above and beyond to help me with my truck and made sure I understood everything clearly. The shuttle is a great touch for busy people like myself and the staff are knowledgeable and personal. The prices are right in line with what I was expecting and they don t try to sell you like other places. Please don t hesitate to make North Hills your go to shop because you won t get better service elsewhere!Service: General repairs & maintenance

These guys are the best. I trusted my truck to them and got a full and comprehensive evaluation of the needed services and was called for approval to proceed. The work was completed as specified. North hills is the most reliable shop I've used. I've never been overcharged, upsold or walked away feeling dissatisfied. Their work is top notch, their prices are fair, and they almost always accommodate walk-ins. Free rides to and from your place or work, and a refurbished and well stocked lounge to wait while your vehicle is being worked on are added perks. I highly recommend them for all your auto maintenance needs.
