I get my oil changed and my vehicles repaired here. Best Oil Change Prices around. All experiences have been fantastic. Warren and the Front office keep you informed and always have a great attitude. They also prioritize really well. I was in a hurry to get a tire patched so I could make an appointment. Richard and Chris stopped what they were doing to make it happen. I appreciate the excellent customer service and quality work!

We have a kid at Limestone University. Whenever we ve had an issue with his car while at school they have been fantastic! Trustworthy, affordable and fair pricing, get work done well and quick. It s nice to have a place like this away from home you can trust! Would definitely recommend !

THIS PLACE CHEATED ME OUT OF HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS TWICE. $907.00 , $200 FOR A HALF MILE TOW. OVER 500 FOR A FUEL PUMP FOR A 96 FORD F150. 120 STORAGE FEE WHICH I UNDERSTAND. TWO DAYS LATER MY TRUCK STOPPED ON ME. I NEVER HEARD THE FUEL PUMP COME ON AS I COULD BEFORE IT STOPPED. I THOUGHT I WAS OUT OF GAS. I PUT $3 GAS IN IT. STILL NO START. CALLED THEM THEY CAME FROM GAFFNEY SC TO SHELBY AND . CHARGED $85 FOR THE TOW. CHARGED $30 FOR GAS BECAUSE THEY SAID IT WAS JUST OUT OF GAS, WHICH WAS A LIE. TOTAL BILL THIS TIME WAS $175. ON TOP OF THIS. I NOTICE THAT IT WAS RUNNING VERY ROUGH. THEY HAD CROSSED THE SPARK PLUG WIRES.. WHICH HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH ANYTHING.. I KNOW I'LL NEVER NEED ANYONE'S MONEY THAT BAD TO CHEAT THEM. THE MAY THINK ITS OVER BUT ITS NOT.

Performance Automotive went above and beyond during a very stressful time. I am a musician and I was traveling from a gig in Atlanta GA, headed to next gig New Jersey. My Car slowed to a stop in Gaffney SC at 3:30am. It was then towed by "Shannons Towing" to his towing yard. (you can see another wonderful review on yelp for Shannons Towing). I felt the problem was the transmission and I hoped it just needed some fluid.First thing in the morning, I walked to nearby Performance Auto and I asked them if I could purchase CVT fluid in the hopes that was all it needed. The Fluid did not work. The car was then towed to Performance Auto. They new I was in a rush to get to my next show scheduled for that evening and that I was stranded. They moved me to the front of the line to assess the situation. Unfortunately, the transmission was shot. There was no way I could afford a new transmission in my current financial situation. :0(Performance Auto then proceeded drive me to Enterprise to rent a car in the hopes I could still make the gig with all of my guitars and equipment. I was unable to rent a car in time. So, They picked me back up from enterprise and brought me back to the shop. I made arrangements to stay the night in Gaffney since I was stuck.Later that afternoon, I received a call from Performance Automotive..... I left my laptop computer at their shop! They drove the computer to where I was staying!Even though my circumstances were terrible, Performance Auto and others put "Gaffney SC" on the map for me. I am so truly thankful for their professional service. There are some wonderful people in that town!

Im not a local. My car broke down on 85-N going back to Virginia and the tow company recommend Performance Automotive. They assured me my car would be fixed as soon as possible. Everyone here has been EXTREMELY kind and thoughtful. They have gone way beyond to help me with my vehicle and get me home as soon as possible. I wish they were in Virginia so I can come to them for all of automotive issues. Southern hospitality at its finest.

Performance Automotive's staff is extremely professional and polite. My job uses them for all of our company vehicle maintenance and the towing department has exceptional response time. I was on the way home from a business trip with my Escalade and enclosed trailer when the engine had a complete failure. It was after 5pm and I found myself in a dangerous place off the interstate. There was nothing around me, and I was concerned I d not get adequate assistance. After a few calls, one of the other unavailable tow companies said I needed to call Performance Automotive right away. It was the best call I could ve ever made.Opie immediately picked up the phone and said he d be right there and to not worry about anything. I had lot of questions and concerns, but he put me at ease. He arrived quickly, and towed me to a nearby convenience store, where his wife and family met us to tow my trailer with their personal vehicle while Opie towed my Escalade on the rollback to Performance Automotive! This was incredible to me! Both items arrived safely and they took great care to ensure that. Once we arrived at the business, they overheard me talking on the phone about getting an Uber to a nearby hotel. Opie said no way would I be needing an Uber, and his own Sister and Wife, along with their kids, took me in their own personal vehicle to the hotel.The next day after I determined I needed to get my vehicle and trailer back to Virginia, Performance Automotive quoted me a price that was less than any other local company I could find in VA. Again, Opie was my driver back home. He picked me up in the morning from my hotel, and we had an enjoyable ride to VA with lots of conversation, and interesting discussions. If you are ever in need of towing or automotive repair, Performance Automotive will not only perform impeccable service, but also treat you fairly, and give you honest advice. I only wish I had them in my backyard. I d certainly have them maintaining my vehicles. Opie and Performance Automotive are everything you could ever want in a hometown mechanic and towing company. As a small business owner, I respect the work they do, and am forever grateful for their service. I now have them saved in my phone should I ever find myself stranded or in need of assistance in South or North Carolina. The best of the best! They literally helped me and my children when I was desperate to get back home and repair my car within an hour. Big shoutout to the reception ladies because they accommodated my children and made the time go by so fast and kept them occupied. Definitely will be back to have them looking at my car!

I visited Performance Automotive on Friday, 7/7/2023. Was having a battery connection problem. I was very impressed with the service I received!! The guys were very nice and very knowledgeable about my problem. They went right to work on it and fixed it very quickly!! Thank you again guys! I would highly recommend Performance Automotive in Gaffney!!!

I broke down on a work trip from Atlanta to Greensboro, NC and luckily AAA towed me to Performance Auto. They were amazing and did all they could to help a stranded traveler. Once they realized I would have to leave my car for repairs, they helped me arrange for a rental vehicle and didn t hesitate to give me a ride to pick it up without me even asking.Thanks to them, I was able to complete my work responsibilities and pick up my car good as new on my way back. If I lived close to Gaffney, SC, Performance Auto is the only place I would take my car for service.

Performance Auto is great. I had some car trouble off I-85 and had to stop by. They took my car in at Friday at 5pm and had it fixed first thing on Monday. They were so easy to work with and made the whole process super simple. I cannot recommend them enough.

The drive known as "Opie" handles your vehicle with most upright care and will offer any helping hand he has available. The rates are perfect and not inflated like today's economy. Drained me of my money. Made me pay over $500 (still didn t fix the problem) took it to another mechanic and the problem was a simple water pump come to find out smh. I was shocked because I heard so many great reviews. Im new to the town and a struggling college student. So $500 is a lot to me. This place either is really good at scamming or is incredibly unknowledgeable. I genuinely would steer clear.

Great guys with great character. Towed my wrangler from Gastonia because I thought the clutch failed. I was sure it was the clutch so I asked how much it would cost and he said with the tow fee and everything $1,400 for a new clutch. Secretary called me a few days later said the bill was $510 and the clutch hadn't failed. Thanks guys! Appreciate the honesty. I will recommend you guys every chance I get.

Requested an alignment and nothing else. Requested that no other work be done without consulting with me for cost. Asked if they knew what could be wrong with a/c while there. After 2 hours they had apparently began ordering parts, worked on the a/c, and said they couldn't do an alignment without the parts. Said they could do it next week when the parts came in. No communication was given within the 2 hours I sat there waiting. I said no. No parts. Just don't do anything. About five minutes after they told me they couldn't do an alignment without the parts, I paid almost $200 and then got told they did do an alignment. Not sure what the truth was. A/c still runs the same as before I went in as well. Never been to a shop run with so little customer communication. The lady in the office was super nice though and did communicate with them. She seems to have been ignored as well.When I got home I was reminded they had previously been asked to look at a tire with a slow leak for me. This was a few months ago. I had originally gone in for brakes. They did not come back to ask to patch the tire. All of my tires were covered under warranty and would have been replaced for a small hole but once they plugged that tire my warranty was voided. To make it worse the plug was in the sidewall and not the tread which is extremely dangerous and a place you just do not plug a tire. So I had to immediately pay for an unexpected tire cost at my usual spot.

It has been 3 years ago, but I had a pretty bad experience. I had to have the sensors replaced in my Maxima. I was quoted the price of around 650. When I arrived to pick up my car I was shocked when I was told I owed 980. When I asked why he said that he had to replace all 4 sensors and that my gas tank had been warped and had to be replaced. I asked why I wasn't informed and he said that I had been and that I had agreed to it... but I most definitely had not. Then I asked how my tank has gotten damaged and he told me that riding around in the summer with very little gas in my car caused the gas to expand and warp the tank, but that he had given me a discount on it and counted it as a maintenance instead of a purchase. This sounded crazy to me. I couldn't get my car without paying so I paid. My husband was incredulous. I called two other service shops and asked them about it. They were also incredulous. My husband went back to talk to them but the gas tank wasn't listed on the receipt. It only said 'maintenance fee.' And I couldn't get any money back. Later in the month I had someone check it and they said there was no way a new tank was installed. In summary, they tricked and overcharged me because they could.

My tire blew out on the side of 85 in a construction zone. The tow truck was there within the hour and made sure I was safe. The staff at the shop was professional and respectful and got me back on the road quickly. I've been going to Performance Automotive of Gaffney for years. And they have never tried to charge me for anything I didn't need. They have been honest and have saved me money. We were heading back from an east coast road trip when we got a flat tire. Our tires are run flats so not everyone carries them. I spoke to the receptionist and explained our situation and she said they could see what we could do. These guys were on it. They assessed the situation, found the hole and they had one there for us to drive home with in about 20 min. Not a run flat but something comparable. We don t live in the area but if we did I would use them for all of my car needs. Everyone was very helpful and honest. They made the drive home to Atlanta easy on the mind. Thanks Warren and the 2 guys that helped us. I feel bad I didn t get their names. Keep up the great work!

My brakes went out while taking my husband to work. I waited up at his work his entire shift (10:00 pm to 6:30 am) we waited till 7:45 am before heading to Prestige auto shop. (I ve had brake work done by them before and was very happy with price and time taken to do the work. He was even nice enough to machine one of my calipers right there.) I was told one of his mechanics was on vacation and they were all backed up so they weren t taking anyone for the next week, so we went down to Performance. We got there a little before 8:00 am. (Before they were supposed to be open) We told them that all we wanted was a patch job to last us until next week. We were there from 8:00am to almost 3:00pm. They had our vehicle on the lift for less than an hour during that time and that was a little before we left. They put two parts on it that cost a little over $10. We were charged $200 for labor! I was aghast. How could they justify charging so much for less then an hours work?! I will never be going back to that ridiculous place. I will be taking my vehicle to Prestige from now on, even if I have to wait for the work. The people there are honest and do good work.

Warren is an absolute angel... he had his guys change my oil when nobody else in town would touch it because there is a hose over my oil filter. The guys who do my oil changes are always fast and make me feel like they go out of their way to make sure everything is good on my car. I love these guys so much!

Had my oil changed, fast, friendly service at a reasonable price. They also checked my tire pressure, topped off the wiper fluid, brake fluid and antifreeze.
