I highly recommend these guys for all of your automotive needs. Chip is there a lot and you might speak with him at the counter - he s honest and if there is an issue with your vehicle they will diagnose your car correctly the first time.Give them a chance! You won t be disappointed!Nathan Ward

Highly Recommend: Chip(owner) spent many hours on an electrical problem on my wife's 2011 Lexus. He called in a friend of his who worked with Toyato who when inside to 'program' the modules. Chip did NOT Charge me, due to the fact he did NOT know if it would work or not. I offered multiple times to give him something for his time, he denied. Most if not mechanics would charge you for their time, minimum.What I am giving him is MY Business going forward. Honest, dependable, & has a very good knowledge of foreign cars.Chris

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. Took my Jeep renegade to them. Have less than 100,000 miles on it. They charged me $1,400 - didn t repair the problem. Literally picked my vehicle up from them & within two minutes of driving from their parking lot, knew the problem wasn t fixed. They were recommended by an acquaintance since I just moved here and don t know anyone. Thank the good Lord a co worker recommended a reputable place in Irmo, SC. My gut upon meeting these ppl was off and run yet not knowing anyone in the area & desperately needing a vehicle for my job as a homecare nurse. Remember- what goes around comes around. I m out $1,400 - yet they will not have repeat customers AND my right to freedom of speech- I will leave a review on social media for 5,000 ppl to see , share via Instagram , linked in , Facebook. It s my obligation to warn the public when something is shady so no one else is scammed like I was. What a shame. And if they ask you to pay in cash- DON T.

I recently had an unexpected major repair performed by Rushing. From my 20-plus years with Rushing, I would not consider using any other automotive service providers. I and my family have been totally satisfied with every aspect of our more than two-decades of experiences-- both with durability of the repairs as well as a very fair fee structure for services rendered. I don't say this lightly, but Chip and Scott are outstanding people and absolutely great technicians.

My husband took his truck to the dealer and they did not look at it for six weeks. We took it to Chip at Rushing Automotive and they fixed it for less within 23 hours.We will be repeat customers for life!

I appreciate Mr chip always keeps it honest and let you know everything that's going on with your vehicle and they live up to their name. If he can't fix it he'll let you know where exactly to bring it never had a problem with them. Great place to get the job done right the first time.

Dropped my truck off on a Monday with several issues. Was kept informed and up to date on status and price. Too notch staff. They don't charge you if they don't diagnose the problem. They don't waste your time and money if it is something they can't fix. Good, honest people work here. Highly recommend this place!

Chip and his team are absolutely amazing! From honest and prompt communication to reasonable pricing for repairs, it is all a great experience. They did repairs to both my husband's truck and my van. I've had my car serviced at Rushing for years, and have never been given a reason to look elsewhere. I could have it serviced 40 miles closer to home; but for me, being able to count on honesty and competent service is more than worth the extra driving.Update August 2021:Yet again the characteristic very good service from Rushing.They went out of their way to help me when my car broke down. I needed an oil change, tire rotation, and new brakes and rotors. So I called and they told me I could drop it off in the morning and they d have it done by the time they close. Now, I have been told this before by other places and it turns out not to be the case. I would have to wait until the following business day to get my car because despite having an appointment, they couldn t get it done in time. This couldn t be more far from the truth with Rushing Automotive.I originally had planned to drop it off in the morning and then pick it up at the end of the day but work called and I had to scrap those plans. A week and a half passes and I finally have time to drop my car off. So I called around 11 am and fully expected to have to schedule an appointment for the following day at the earliest. Turns out they said just bring it on by and we can have it done by the end of the day. I was very surprised by this due to my past experiences with other mechanics. After dropping my car off around noon, I was expecting it to take until the end of the day but they managed to have it done in about 2 hours. I was blown away. I have never had this kind of turn around with other mechanics.The people at Rushing Automotive are honest, friendly, quick, and reasonably priced. I will now be taking my car there for the foreseeable future for anything I might need done.

Fortunately, my car didn't need any repairs at this time, but I was highly impressed with Chip's customer service while he checked over my car.I'll definitely be returning when I need anything and highly recommend them!

A+++ service. Helped my wife when she was traveling. Quick service. Grey rates. Very respectful. Had another unrelated issue 100 miles down the road and they found us a reputable mechanic in Charleston. Called ahead and talked to them about what had been done already and had them waiting on us. Highly recommend to anyone.

I moved to Columbia in 2017 as a college student. I arrived with the requisite college car i.e. a total junker hanging on for dear life. Rushing repeatedly worked miracles helping me to keep it alive, always providing prompt and fair service. When it came time to buy another car, they were helpful in providing advice and inspections before purchase. I have always found them to be honest, prompt & financially reasonable. Chip runs a great front of the shop and will tell you exactly where you stand and be totally straight with you. A great shop that I would (and have) recommend to anyone looking to have work done in the Columbia area.

Took in my 2006 Subaru Forester for diagnosis of leaky AC and rattle under the car. Both have been addressed in a professional manner, in a timely fashion, and for a reasonable price. We were traveling from Upper Michigan to Myrtle Beach when our truck had a mechanical failure. As it is used to tow our 5th wheel we were in trouble! After reading other reviews we had our truck towed to them. They were incredibly helpful! Even though the holiday was fast approaching they did all they could to get us back on the road.We are so appreciative!Service: General repairs & maintenance

This place seems solid so far (been there twice for my mom's car & once for mine). I'm pretty sure all the guys are pros & they seem serious about what they do. Labor is expensive but I think all good places are. Parts don't seem to be marked up at all so that helps offset the labor. Most importantly they seem honest & aren't sales driven. Good place.

My cars AC was blowing hot so I took over to Chip, and the guys got me right!! Now I can finally drive in peace and solitude with cold air. They done an amazing job with getting it back to me the same day. I would highly recommend these guys.

Being from out of state and suddenly my driver's side window doesn't want to go up in this raining time. Not only did they fix my window... they gave me a warranty and I saved $100 after doing massive amounts of research. I got my minivan back the same day. I need more work done and will still do my research. But, I am sure I will be heading back to Rushing automotive for the customer service is excellent! Thank you !!

These guys are the best. They know what they are doing and are reasonably priced. What more could you ask for. It's no wonder this is the best rated shop in Columbia. Great work guys. I have recommended you guys to my friends and they love the work you have done for them.

I've only been in Columbia area little over a year and I'm thrilled to have found this great place to service my 2014 corvette. They are friendly, very accommodating and so professional. For a female to feel comfortable in an automotive world puts my mind at ease.
