Took my truck for what was a suspected parking brake issue. Made an appointment and dropped it off on a Friday in early September. Took all day Saturday to diagnose that the parking brake assembly had to be replaced. Tech said they had issues getting the rotor off (interesting). Parts came in on Monday. Spoke to the shop Monday afternoon around 2. Said it would be done shortly. Arrived at the shop at 430-445. Truck was still up in the air. Both rear wheels off, laying face down on the ground and the tech was using them as seats while still working on the brakes. Once the job was done I inspected the wheels and found several fresh scratches on the rims. I spoke to one of the techs who said, they would call their mobile rim guy to get me an appointment and they would call me back tomorrow (Tuesday). Also, advised them that the parking brake was not holding. They said it might be because of the torque. I checked later that evening on an incline while in neutral. Still no hold. Called back on Wednesday, after no one called about the rims. Set up an appointment to come back on Saturday morning to adjust the brake, in order for it to hold, as designed. Reminded them about the rims. Showed up Saturday, and got the brakes fixed. Reminded them again about the rims. They advised I would hear back on Monday. Still no word back from this shop. Had to take my truck to another shop as the rear end was making noises. Come to find out, they put the parking brake assembly on backwards on the left side, parts were missing and they destroyed the rotor. It appears they used a metal hammer and not a rubber mallet to get the rotor off. See pics for details, notice the mechanic notes about missing parts and hammer marks on the rotor. I have still never heard from the mobile rim guy . NEVER GO TO THIS SHOP.

I wouldn t recommend this place to anybody that expects to actually get their oil changed .Took my truck here for an oil change. The guy at the desks eyes were as red as an apple, clearly high as a kite. Which is probably what leads me to this review.Just took my car somewhere else for an oil change. Where I was informed, and showed that they could not in fact change my oil, as there was a temporary plug in my oil pan, which has been leaking a lot, and if they removed it, it wouldn t go back in because it s meant to be a temporary fix. And when they did in fact pull it out, it was clear it had not been taken out since it was placed there.Now, that temporary plus was inserted prior to my oil change here, which means that this place never drained my oil. They instead only added more oil to what was there.

No one likes having car problems, but whenever I do, I know the folks here will take care of me. I've never felt like they upcharge or try to sell me on things I don't need, they are expedient and honest. 10/10 would recommend

Liars, cheaters, and scoundrels. I could've had a toddler replace my battery, yet these idiots did 1000 dollars in damages under the hood while they were at it, and lied about it after the fact.The MANAGER "didn't know" that overfilling a coolant reservoir is not a good thing, then promptly shut his cake hole when I offered to whip the owners manual out. In reality its more likely that he was lying, and was well aware of the fact that his guys can't even fill a coolant res properly.To top the experience off, this clown actually asked me "are you a mechanic.". 1. Yes. I work on diesel machines as part of my job, and 2. You dont have to be a mechanic to fill a liquid up to the line that the directions tell you to. People make ramen all the time.

I don't know how they got any good reviews because they upcharge for everything. They don't even have a certified mechanic. They'll also keep your car for days just sitting there. I guess they assume you have other vehicles to drive.

I brought my car in to this shop in May 2023. I needed an oil change and I had a small coolant leak, which turned out to be a faulty water pump. I knew that this was an extensive job, because the timing belt had to be replaced as well. I figured that I would take 2 days or so to complete. I was wrong, it took them 2 weeks to complete the job. And for the first week, I never received a phone call or an update on what was going on with the repair. I would call them once every afternoon, and each time I was told a lie. It was either, the job will be finished tomorrow or we re waiting on a part or the manager is busy and will call you back (which never happened by the way). After one week of being lied to repeatedly and being given the runaround, I decided to get the Precision Tune corporate, and the Better Business Bureau involved. This lead to them giving my car back 2 weeks after I left it in their care. I picked up the car & started the engine, immediately I knew that something wasn t right. The car idled poorly (which it didn t when I brought it in) and before I got home, the check engine light was on. I was so angry! After I calmed down a bit, and talked to someone in corporate via the BBB, I decided to give this shop a 2nd chance and allow them to correct their wrongs since the repair was under warranty. This was a bad decision on my part. This time around, they had my car for 6 weeks. They still weren t able to complete the repairs correctly, and told me that I needed to take the car to a Ford dealership & that they would work with me . I did so, and the dealer s diagnostic showed the timing belt wasn t installed properly, which was triggering the check engine light. I informed Precision of what I was told. They asked how much would it cost to fix and I told them $1700. After that, I was told that I will be getting a call back regarding the next steps we will take to get the car back in running condition. This was in August. I have yet to hear from Precision regarding this matter. This is criminal what they ve done. I had to get a rental for a week, and eventually buy another car since I couldn t drive this one anymore. This mishap has caused major inconveniences and set me back thousands of dollars. I have been a customer since 2010, and I haven t had any problems with them until this year. But things have changed, I see. I will never be back and I wouldn t suggest anyone else to bring their car here because they are crooks!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

I would highly recommend this place for excellent customer service and work on any vehicle foreign or domestic, I have a 2014 Mercedes CLS 63 AMG they did good work on I believe the Mechanic name was Josua and he's also a Manager so that says another about this place they will forever my service and the owner follows up on the customer to make sure we're satisfied

Took my vehicle in for AC repair at 8am. Called back once at 11 to check for an update and they said they were trouble shooting. Called again at 3pm and they calmed to be running the car trying to get it to become hot. 7 hours total of work and nothing to show for it. Do not come here for AC service.

On our way home to Ohio from Florida we had our water pump go out a mile before the exit to this shop. Even though we were there close to closing the employees took great care of us, going above and beyond what I've seen in other shops. When we drove back two days later to pick up our vehicle they even went so far as to return our rental to the airport. I am forever grateful for the kindnesses they showed us after the very difficult week I had been through. I was the first customer in that day and the service was performed quickly. They replaced my brakes Monday morning. It is now Saturday and they are still squeaking. My normal mechanic looked and said they used cheap brakes. They will squeak until replaced. Do not get your brakes done here.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

I was in a bind when my car stopped starting on a Saturday and needed same-day service. This was the closest open spot on a weekend, and when I called I was told they could take care of me same-day. I wouldn't typically use a chain, but they were the closest open shop. They diagnosed and replaced my starter in less than 2 hours, despite being pretty busy. Customer service was great both from the front office to the mechanic. Price was fair, especially considering the quick turn around.

I had the best customer experience today at this automotive shop that I have ever had for car service. The manager, Lamar Coles, has been there for only three weeks, and he sets a high bar of excellence for him and his staff. I have visited this shop before, and there's definitely a difference. Service was prompt, and Lamar and his staff were efficient, friendly and cordial. The repair person actually SMILED when he told me my car was ready. I mentioned this to Lamar, and he said people smile1 when they enjoy their job and where they work. Well done team.

I wish we could give them 10 stars. We are traveling from Charleston, SC to West Virginia for a friends wedding. Our water pump gave out and we thought we were stuck. These guys were amazing. Got our part in and replaced in a couple of hours and we are back on the road. Friendliest guy at the front desk was an absolute pleasure to chat with while they got us up and running and made what could have been a tough day very pleasant. Travis and his crew have earned my business for as long as I am in Columbia! My truck had to be towed here a little after noon after breaking down a short distance away. Precision Tune Auto Care was wonderful to work with. They were very polite and prompt to install a new alternator first thing the next morning which was a huge blessing since I had to leave town the next morning.I only give 4 stars instead of 5 because I was a bit disappointed that they would not offer their advertised 15% discount for military/first responders (my husband is both) since they only did labor and I provided the parts. I was even in Columbia because I was visiting my husband who is there on orders with the military. He was the one who came to pick me up when I dropped off my car. I thought that was a bit strange and feel they shouldn t advertise a discount if they don t intend to fulfill it.

So I had this place at two stars but the owner Chad was able to change my mind. My last experience with a different manager was awful but this owner went out of his way to make up for it. He contacted me and asked if he could look at my car personally when I was having issues with the steering and suspension after I had brought it in the first time. My car has been riding smoother since then and I am grateful for people like Chad who will go out of there way to ensure a customer understands that he cares. I would take my car to this place again and if you are ever stuck between Precision Tune or the Express Oil Change place down the road go to PT. Chad s technicians will take care of you and if you re not happy I have no doubt in my mind that he ll go out of his way to make things right.

We had van issues on our family trip from Florida to Ohio. We were in a jam on a Saturday when our van started to run horribly. Their shop was very busy. Instead of telling us they were sorry and couldn't help, they got us in and fixed our issues. We lost 6 hours of time but we much appreciated them fitting us in and back on the road. Mark was very accommodating. Our van ran great for the trip and is still running great thanks to their efforts. My brakes almost failed this morning when the pedal went all the delay to the floor and I had trouble stopping. My son called a couple of places but they were too busy so he called Lamar at this location. He told him if I could get it there to come on.He explained everything throughout the process and was extremely nice to someone who was scared with what had happened. I went into the garners ferry location to have them diagnose an issue with my A/C. For that they charged me $189. Afterwards they told me it was my condenser and that the part would be in the next day. (Today) I got the call saying to come in and I stayed there for two and a half hours just for them to tell me that it s my compressor also. When I m fact the day before he assured me my compressor worked just fine. They charged me $750 all in all to put my compressor on and for the part itself. The mechanic that serviced me car was extremely stiff and rude. I would never go there again!Services: A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning

I made an appointment for Saturday at 9am. The manager was very friendly. I received an oil change, and two replacement filters. The price was $112... shocked me! I researched the filter prices, $4-8 and I was charged $60. I was told I received a discount but by the time all of the charges were added, it was overwhelming. I'm from Rock Hill, SC and have never paid more than $40 for an oil change. I will save more money driving back every three months than returning. I selected this location because of the high rating but I don't feel comfortable returning.

Had a starter die on me before an 8 hour road trip home! They got it in immediately and I was back on the road within 2 hours. Great service, reasonably priced!
