This place is beyond superb. I recently brought in my car for a radiator replacement and Herb got it done in a timely manner at a great price. A few days after I noticed a bit of smoke coming from my engine but wrote it off as just some remaining coolant residue from my busted radiator burning off. When the issue persisted, I brought it back to Herb and he discovered one of the tubes had a small hole that was leaking fluid that was then splashing on my exhaust pipe causing smoke. He replaced the clip and the tube on the house to ensure I was completely satisfied with their service. This is my go to spot now, but only if it's Herb working on my stuff. He's the best and is extremely friendly and honest.**Update 3/23/24**Don and Herb were superb and went above and beyond today. I dropped my car off at 10am to get my CV axle replaced, and was told that it shouldn't take more than 3 hours which was fine. To no fault of their own, the parts they ordered for me arrived much later than scheduled, but they assured me that my car would be done by the end of the day, and they stuck by that! The shop closed at 5pm and they stayed after hours, until 7pm actually, to ensure my car was good to go with the promise they made. I've used Herb before with repairs and he's great at what he does. From here on, he'll be my go to guy. But I've gotta give props to Don for his assistance; he's very kind, knowledgeable, and personable and put in lots of effort with removing my nearly impossible to remove wheel bearing to install my new CV axle.

Came in with 2 cars toward the end of the day! Not only did they fit us in Ms. K the assistant manager had great hospitality skill! We will be spending our money at this location while we are in Columbia!

If I could give a zero I would. I came in at 8:30am 1/3/24 because I noticed that my vehicle was startling at about 30 miles per hour that morning. I was told that they could give me a diagnostic test to see what was going on with my vehicle and it would take about a hr. before they could get to me which was not a problem. At around 12pm I had not heard anything so I called up to precision tune the young lady to me my vehicle was next and she would call me back in about a hr. ok that was fine. At 4pm I still had not heard anything now this is where the problem came in. Precision Tune had my car all day up until 5:36pm. When I called back to Precision Tune around the 4pm period they still had not done the diagnostic test. I was not looking for anything free but I did ask the young lady in the front If they could take something off the diagnostic test that they charged me and she said that they could not do that. My thing is if you could not get me in that day that was fine but I was told that I could. Precision Tune had my vehicle all day when I could have took it somewhere else and got it serviced. I was over promised a time twice and still had to pay the full price and left with my vehicle still not fixed. Lesson learned.

Thank you Herb for the EXCELLENT service you provided to my car. My car barely made it to Precision Tune at 1923 Broad River Rd. When Mikayla called me to let me know the car was ready I picked up the car and it drove like it was brand new. Go to precision Tune and see Herb he will take great care of your car!!!

Never going back. I told the person at the counter I wanted a regular oil change and that I did not want premium. He proceeds to charge me for premium and it was too late once I realized it and looked at my receipt after he gave it to me.

After a miscommunication issue Herb at Precision Tune went above and beyond to resolve my problem! It was greatly appreciated that Herb called me immediately,accepted responsibility and actually apologized for the error then corrected it.Expenses are high nowadays especially car issues even with insurance coverage, so it was a great relief that Herb took care of me! - Thank you from the bottom of my heart

We pulled off the highway with a furiously shaking steering wheel and went straight to this Precision Tune just minutes before closing time. They stayed until they had diagnosed the problem and ordered parts for the repair. We stayed at a hotel nearby and they had our axle replaced by 11 am the next day so we could be on our way. We haven t had any problems since. I thank God for how it all worked out!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Excellent customer service! I had been driving all day and was still an a hour away from my destination when I got a warning light that my engine oil was low. I pulled into Precision Tune on Broad River Road in Columbia. David checked it for me right away and put in a quart of oil. There was no charge as he just wanted to help a person from out of state. If I lived in Columbia, I would definitely take my car back there for service!

My car went started acting up soon as I got home and never worked the same smelled like they put gas in my tank where the water/antifrezz in and smoke was coming out my tail pipe then finally my head gasket went out!!! I ll never recommend them to anyone

This PTA was such a great experience. These guys were so welcoming from when I entered the store until my car was serviced and I left. They have such great customer service and are very knowledgeable. I got an inspection check as Im a Lyft driver and it went smoothly And in a speedy timely matter. I recommend this store and will return for further auto work. Thanks guys!!

We were traveling through Columbia when we had a battery light indicator come on in our van. We called David on a Friday afternoon and he was willing to replace our alternator ~ however he did a diagnostic test and found it was just a lose wire. He only charged us the diagnostic fee. We were so grateful he was willing to work us into his schedule so quickly.

The picture with the bolts on that s is how it s supposed to look like but when I was driving my truck was making a non regular noise and I checked my tires and it turns out that two of the bolts come out and I work in construction and I have to work with a trailers and it s a safe hazard and I have two kids and the truck could of flipped also they didn t put the brake line correctly they just twisted it and now I have to go get my oil checked because I don t know if they did that correctly.Services: Brakes, Brake service & repair, Oil change

I came in to have my oil changed and coolant refilled. Unrelated to the original reason for coming in, I could not open by gas cap. The mechanic, David Vance, explained to me that the gas cap had a lock which I had accidentally activated, and that the dealership did not provide me with its key. At my request, he removed the gas cap. He even replaced it with a lockless gas cap without a lock, so I won't deal with this problem again. The extra work involved to pry off the locked gas cap meant that the mechanics had to work overtime; I appreciate that they finished the job after hours.Service: Oil change

Don t go here! I went to get a oil change and they offered me breaks. I got both for $200. I just got a new motor 3 months ago my car was running like a new car. After getting it back from precision I had a small oil spot on my cement. I took it back to precision and they checked and said they saw it was leaking after they did the oil change the first day I brought it to them so they tried tightening the cap. Ok cool.. nxt day I look and it s a huge oil spot on my cement so I take it back and they tell me they will charge me to fix it after they obviously messed up a perfectly fine car. Now I have to dish out more money! They had one job and ruined my experience.UPDATE: I took my car to my dealership and they said precision had put the wrong oil filter in and had a double gasket on it that caused my car to leak but precision is saying the dealership is lying. Just shady I repeat don t go here if you want your car to stay in good condition.

I called this repair shop beforehand to get an oil change I arrived several minutes before closing as I pulled up to the dock one guy yelled we closed and I said to him I called and earlier I just had some trouble with gps taking me the wrong way the guy at the front counter said that he would take me and the guy that was going to so my oil change said to me he didn't want to do it and asked why did I wait until they almost close to get service he did the service but did not change my filter.I reached out to corporate and they were able to find out the problem and fix it. Chad the District Manager is very direct and professional he found out what happened owned up to the mistake and fixed the problem I was able to get my oil changed properly he also refunded the service that I paid for and he gave me a free oil change for my next service. I've been working in customer service for over 15 years and I have to say that the problem was handled well due to good communication, professionalism and patience I want to thank the company again for making things right!

I will not take my car anyplace else unless PT tells me to. It's not because they do such awesome work, which they do, but the manager Bobby is the most caring mechanic I have ever met. He is really concerned about customer satisfaction and it shows in the work. Keep it going!!!

If you are a young woman please don t go to this place alone. They will rip you off blindly because they know they can have one up on you. I took my car there because my wiper blades stopped working one day i was driving. They quoted me over $500 to get a new wiper transmission and for the labor. I didn t mind paying it i just wanted to get a second opinion somewhere else and then make my decision. I took my car to a trusted mechanic that my mom used for years and come to find out the transmission was fine and it was only a piece that had come undone and could have been easily put back together & reinforced the wiper transmission did not needed to be replaced AT ALL!! I feel like that during my time at Precision Tune when they ran a diagnostic test that they would have seen that and yet they chose not to say anything but try to rip me off instead. ANOTHER thing they quoted me $350 for a new wiper transmission and Autozone had it for $165?!?!? Anyways I got my wipers fixed and only paid $30!

We had an emergency issue with our radiator which would have caused us to be late to our destination. They saved the day and had us back on the road in less than 30 minutes! Thank you for ALL your help!
