My husband and I went to Subaru with the intent of test driving an ascent without purchasing today. Most of the salesmen/women were tied up with customers and we had the luck to have Samantha help us. She might be newish to McDaniels Subaru but she s definitely not new to Subaru. She was very knowledgeable and passionate about the Subaru brand itself. After looking at several on the lot and test driving one, we left to go to another dealership to test drive another vehicle that we were interested in. However we ended up back at McDaniels shortly after. Samantha stayed with us until we pulled off the lot even though they closed almost 2 hours prior. I m grateful for her time and energy she spent with us today and although it wasn t our intent to purchase we drove off the lot new Subaru owners. Angel was also a saint for putting up with my husbands antics and haggling. Thanks for the great service guys!

I purchased my Subaru Forester Sport at the end of January '24 and couldn't be happier with how the whole process went.Mason, did a great job showing me an Outback and a Forester. He explained everything about both vehicles but since I've had a Forester before, I decided to go with another one. Gema Morales was so helpful in our recent purchase of a new Subaru Forester. She was so kind and took time to see that all our questions were answered. She was personable, relatable and did not resort to high pressure in allowing us to make a decision. Also thanks to Angel, sales manager, for showing us the facility , introducing us to the staff, and sealing the deal. My husband and I visited McDaniels Subaru and worked with Mason Sylvia. He presented us with the car we asked to drive and worked to get us a price and payment plan if we decided to purchase through the dealership. Since we were looking for a bigger car for me, Mason spoke to me and wanted my opinion on everything rather than just my husband s. We never once felt pressured by him to make a decision right away and would absolutely work with him again.

I have been having issues with my car battery since the moment I got it in 2021. Every 6 months, I had to change my battery, and it became extremely expensive and draining because I am a college student. Ashley has been nothing but helpful, and I appreciate her so much! I expect good customer service, but she went above and beyond what I expected, and I am so grateful because she has made my life so much easier, and I also have one less thing to worry about, which is my car! She went out of her way to help me, and I can t thank her enough!! Thank you so much for being a great person!

I (had to) purchase two new tires. Surprisingly, the price quoted by McDaniels was better than the price I had gotten from a national auto repair franchise--and the tires from McDaniels would match up more precisely with my other two tires.The work took a little longer than I would have liked (hence 4.5 stars), but the tires were balanced, the alignment was corrected, the car was washed, and, shockingly, I was charged less than quoted!Tom C.

Fantastic buying experience at McDaniels Subaru. We were greeted warmly on a very cold and windy day. The sales manger, Angel, personally welcomed my wife and I both thanking us for visiting and then listened to our initial questions without interruption. He then went on to validate what we shared in initial questions to include inquiries on discounts seen on web searches and he let us know immediately more incentives were available as it was end of the month and year in the last few days of December. Angel introduced us to Mason the saleman who gave us personalized, focused, and thorough sales service demonstrating the product completely as well offering other vehicle options to give us a full range of choices. Great experiences overall leading us to close the deal on our beautiful new Forester in my wife s favorite color, Autumn Green Metallic. We look forward to continued dealings with McDaniels through service and future purchases and we will certainly recommend the dealership to others. Great job McDaniels Subaru! You earned our business! Thank you!

Mother-in-law brought a suv from this establishment, got a good price, car looked good but as used car salesmen go they were not truthful with the vehicle. After negotiating the deal and the paperwork is being done they add a "do nit sue" paperwork. She repeatedly ask why she "had" to sign it, the salesmen told her it just part of the normal paperwork. She made the deal and brought the car home. Since then she's put 2 new batteries, and had it towed twice. The reason we later found out was the system that tell you your stay in your lane has a major problem. This problem was a flash of light, as in the garage light turning on, could activate the system and also run on the now retired 3G network, so it goes into search for 3G even if you turn the car off. So it downs the battery down. How much to fix it? 6,000 dollars! Moral to my tale is if you deal with these crooks....Check for recalls by Vin, do a Google check for strength and weakness of that car, and any lawsuits on the car and dealership. Your welcome.

Tristan was a very helpful sales rep. Went above and beyond to make sure we got a decent deal and took extra unnecessary steps to make sure we were happy with the vehicle. Happy and proud to now be the owner of this gorgeous Subie.The dealership has lots of snacks while you wait and a kids' area to keep them occupied. Worked out great for us.

I was looking for a new Subaru Legacy with a specific interior which took me out of state to McDaniels. Angel Mestey was amazing at helping me do everything over the phone and always answering my calls, even on his day off. They even shipped the vehicle to a closer dealership to make pickup easier. A few days after I picked up my vehicle Will Lopez called me and got My Subaru app up and running. Over all I had a great experience! Highly recommend Angel and Will as they were amazing and very attentive!

Renae did a great job! She was patient, personable and very helpful. This experience was not like the other car dealerships, all of my questions were answered in full and Renae went into full detail about every aspect of the vehicle and the process of buying a new vehicle. I highly recommend going to McDaniels when buying your next car!

She also has a great team around her that help make the process easier and less hectic. From the moment I walked into the McDaniels Subaru of Columbia dealership, the workers were very helpful and approachable. It can be nerve-wracking walking into a dealership when you do not know what you are looking for - Gema Morales made me feel comfortable walking around the lot and took the time to answer all my questions about each of the vehicles. Mostly friendly and semi helpful staff, but strange that the salesperson who accompanied me on my test drive spent a fair amount of the time explaining why he wasn't a fan of EVs, when that's what I was in the market for. Ended up buying a Solterra elsewhere, with better options (next trim level up) for less than they wanted for the one I drove here. Given they're local-ish, here's hoping my experience with their service dept is better than with sales.

My husband handles all the maintenance on our vehicles so he is the one doing this review. He was really pleased with the first, and complimentary, oil change, tire rotation and complete inspection of our 2023 Subaru Forester. The job was completed within an hours time, as was promised. One point that may seem trivial but is important. The windshield sticker showing the miles or months for the next service was obviously computer generated and is easily read unlike other dealerships where the writing is difficult to read.One more thing. He loved the waiting area comfortable chairs and great snacks.

I am giving three stars due to the service was fine. HOWEVER, I called three times and left messages every time to schedule an appointment and never received a call back. I finally made an appointment on their website however I still never received a call back. I understand that a lot of things are done on line now but you should still call a customer back when they leave multiple messages. I have bought atleast 4 vehicles from here and would think they would appreciate that.

I had an excellent experience buying my Subaru from McDaniels. Clayton, Tristan, Jennifer, and everyone else were all wonderful and super helpful with the different options, info about the cars, and other questions I had. The two sales guys and the finance guy stayed late not only helping me, but other customers as well. I m very impressed with this dealership and recommend anyone looking for a car to go to them!

I loved working with James Harper at Mcdaniels Subaru. He was super knowledgeable, attentive and easy to work with. I appreciate his laid back style while trying to figure out the right car for me and my family. The rest of the staff I interacted with were also friendly and easy to work with. This location has great customer service! When traveling through the area, an emergency repair was urgently needed. They got the car in right away, even though we didn't have an appointment (I do recommend making appointments), and service was performed without delay. The entire facility (including the restroom) was so clean; I was shocked to learn that dogs are allowed in the waiting area as well! The price was very reasonable and then the staff, without being asked, gave an additional discount on labour costs just to be helpful. Their follow-up has been great as well. I highly recommend them to anyone in the area.
