I took my vehicle to this facility on the advice of State Farm, (not my insurance provider). It is one of their "preferred repair facilities". The accident happened on a Saturday, so I made an appointment for the following Monday. We continued to drive the vehicle when we needed to. The vehicle drove acceptably and all of its systems both mechanical and electrical performed as they had prior to the accident. On Monday, we kept our appointment and were initially impressed by what we were told regarding how thorough they would be repairing our vehicle. We dropped off our vehicle and rented a vehicle in the interim. When the vehicle was "ready", we picked it up and drove it home. We noticed a couple of issues immediately. The radio which had been set on five station presets from day one and had played beautifully, now played nothing but static and interference. One station would occasionally come in poorly but otherwise we had no tangible reception whatsoever. Secondly, our interior dome light would not shut off. This light is controlled by a 3-position switch. To the left, the light is always off, to the right, always on, in the middle, the light shuts off AUTOMATICALLY ON ITS OWN WHEN YOU REACH A CERTAIN SPEED. From this point forward, the driver had to manually shut off the dome light.Over the next couple of weeks, I returned to Joe Hudson's expressing my concern with these problems. I emphasized that both of these components were working fine after the accident and right up to the time the vehicle was dropped off at their facility. I was assured they would get to the bottom of the problem. They never did.I complained to State Farm that even though my car was "repaired" as far as Joe Hudon's was concerned, it really wasn't. The State Farm representative I had been dealing with even went so far to tell me that Joe Hudson's had told her that, "there's nothing wrong with the dome light", and this radio issue is a common problem with the Ford Escape". BULLCRAP! There's absolutely nothing on the internet regarding this issue and the dealership where I bought the vehicle was incredulous that Joe Hudson's would make such an unsubstantiated claim.At this point, I called Joe Hudson's "what to do if you are dissatisfied" phone number. Of course, no one answered so I left a voicemail. Less than a week later, I received a call from a gentleman named Sid. I told him what the issues were, and he reassured me Joe Hudson's would make it right. I felt much better after speaking with Sid. I felt like someone was actually listening and eventually the vehicle would be at least as good as it was prior to the accident. Sid and I spoke once or twice more and the information from him continued to be positive. Finally, Sid called me on Friday September 29th after 4 PM. Again, he reassured me and also stated he thought that in the course of painting, they may have created a short in the system somewhere. At the end of this conversation, he said he was going to talk with the shop for scheduling and would call me back the following Monday. Eight weeks later, I still haven't heard from Sid or anyone from Joe Hudson's and I don't expect to. If Sid did in fact talk to the shop, they convinced him there are no issues and he was okay taking their word. Never mind the person who has been driving the vehicle since it was brand new for the last 2 1/2 years. Bottom line there are indisputable facts here, my vehicle came out of their shop with two issues not related to the accident that weren't there until after Joe Hudson's had "repaired" the vehicle. I would never ever recommend these phonies to anyone needing collision repair done. One has to wonder how this shop became a "preferred repair facility"...

I never received any updates on the repair as I was promised during the whole 3 weeks that they had my car. I finally got my car back and the engine is overheating. My car is only 3 years old with less than 45k miles on it and I've never had this problem before they did repairs to the body of the car. Now I have to return the car for them to fix the issue.

DO NOT USE JOE HUDSON COLLISION CENTER!!! After 8 months of frustration with this company, my vehicle still isn't fixed. They DO NOT stand behind their new parts or their wok. After thousands of dollars and headaches they are wanting my insurance company to total my vehicle now. Why should my insurance have to pay for bad parts, bad work and still total out my vehicle. Somebody please make this make sense to me. I would give them zero stars if it would let me. CEO Brant Wilson, please look into this and contact me since nobody at Leesburg Rd., Columbia SC location knows who you are or how to contact you .

The service I received from start to finish was amazing. The receptionist, forgive me, her name escapes my memory but she was amazing everytime I stepped in the doors of Joe Hudson. She helped make my experience a great one. Please give her a raise...

I had an extremely frustrating experience with the collision center. They took over a month and a half to work on my car, with no updates or returned phone calls. On four separate occasions, they claimed my vehicle was ready, only for me to arrive and find it wasn't. To make matters worse, when I finally got my car back, it was still shaking badly. I strongly advise against using this place total rip-offs.

I used JHCC because Geico recommended them (not my insurance). JHCC claimed that I didn't pay a charge and hired debt collectors from Forest Recovery Services L.L.C. after calling me 1 time and leaving a voicemail (to which I responded to with proof of payment).

Brett and the staff at Joe Hudson were wonderful. My husband and I took in my husband s Toyota Tacoma for a broken tail light. Brett was very prompt with our initial appointment and thoroughly examined the area of damage. He went so far as to lay on the ground that was paved with asphalt at 2pm in the heat of the summer to assess all damage in the event there was something he could not see.We dropped his truck off the following Monday. Again, Brett was courteous and timely.We paid exactly what the quoted price was. We were very happy. I hope I never need a body shop again, but hands down, if I do, I will be calling Brett.Service: Body & Trim

On May 18th, 2023, my car was broken into and damaged. My insurance company and I decided on using Joe Hudson's Collison Center for the repairs. My car was brought to their repair shop on June 6th, 2023. The first estimated time for completion was dated July 7th, 2023. I expected delays, so I was not surprised when my vehicle's repairs were not completed on that day, but I did call for an update. This was when I was told that my vehicle was in paint and was to be completed by the end of the week, and I would get my car back then. After that week went by, I called the following week and was told my car was in paint, still. Another week goes by, and I was told that there was a mix-up, and actually, my car was at a dealership for repairs they couldn't handle. I was told it would be back the following week, and I called the following week just to be told that it was back with them, back in paint and should be completed by the end of the week. When the end of the week of arrived, I was told my car had not returned from the dealership yet. I asked to speak to a manager, and I was told that someone would contact me to explain what was going on. I never received that phone call. Finally, I went to the collision center yesterday, August 7th 2023 because it was one-month anniversary of the first completion date. I was told that it was going into paint on that very day, and my car would be ready by the next day. That day is today, August 8th 2023. If you are reading this complaint, it is because I have yet to receive my car back. I don't know if this is some kind of insurance fraud or pure negligence on Joe Hudson's part, but I want my car back, and I will write on every platform that I possibly can to ensure that no one else has to endure the hardship that my family has had to deal with.Services: Painting, Auto engine diagnostic, Body & Trim

Scheduling and automated updates system needs improvement. Lots of miscommunication that could have been avoided. Actual repair work was good though!!!

My sister had her car repaired at this insurance company recommended facility. A 2 week job turned into just shy of two months and if her son hadn t aggressively called to inquire what the hold up was (she is a tad timid when it comes to asserting herself), we would probably be waiting another week. It was suggested that because she wasn t using an insurance paid rental, that hers was pushed aside to get those that were could be completed to save the insurance company s money. I m guessing if you re paying out of pocket they might treat you more like a REAL PAYING customer, but if this is an insurance job, don t put up with being put off over and over.

Hands down the worst experience ive ever had. There completion date was off by 3 weeks and i was told 5 times my car would be be ready tomorrow just to be told the next day it would be another day or two. Once i finally picked it up the interior was completely covered in dirt, dust and grease.Service: Body & TrimService: Body & Trim

do not recommend. the one on newland rd is way better .. that s where i should ve went since i used that one before and had great experience .. but this location had my car for two months ! never again. i m a student and i need my car. worst place ever. choose the other locations.
