Took my truck in for repairs after being involved in a collision with another motorist. The process between my insurance and this location was seamless, They scheduled my appt within a week and sent several text msg on the completion date, which was suppose to be on the 28th of Feb. However my truck was fully painted and completed the very next week, and the quality was well above average. We had a couple of hiccups afterward but Gerber quickly remedy the issue with no problems. If you re looking for quality work and 5 star customer service take your vehicle here.

We had an accident and the insurance company gave Us this repair shop. From the time we arrived until the car repair was complete EVERYONE was great. The communication from the front desk and the alerts every Tuesday and Thursday left Us at ease. The auditor was very thorough with Us on the repairs and what we saw wasn t right. The detail of making sure all cameras were working since the repair was exceptional. I pray we never get in another car accident but if we do hands down will be our forever place for repairs. Thank you Gerber Staff. Greatly appreciated.

Update:Was contacted by Mr. Patrick shortly after this review. He apologized and asked for a chance to make things right, and they did just that. I m very pleased with the repairs that were done to my car, they really did an excellent job. They also did a great job with keeping us updated on the progress while it was there being repaired, and the customer service received from Jennifer was much better.Original:Very disgusted by the customer service I received over the phone from Jennifer a few days ago. Called to make sure that this location takes my insurance and was told that none of the locations accept Farm Bureau. So I tried to explain to Jennifer that the Irmo location had emailed over the estimate to her a few days prior so that I can get my car repaired sooner at this location, and I wanted to see if she could just email them back letting them know they don t take my insurance and to see if they could still get me in next Tuesday at the Irmo location. Well Jennifer very abruptly cut me off and stated I don t care before even hearing what I had to say. I absolutely do NOT recommend this location due to the poor customer service and lack of care. I really hope some customer service and professionalism training is in the works for Ms. Jennifer.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Booked an appointment over two weeks out in advance on a Friday. On Thursday I called to verify the appointment and they acted as if they had no idea who I was. Tyler was very friendly, however the GM was very short and wasn t willing to even try to squeeze me in for something at all.. AND THE BEST PART, is that the EXACT same thing happened to me 2.5 weeks prior at the Atlas Rd. location.. myself nor any of my family will every use Gerber for any of our vehicles.

Do not go here. Jamila at the front is great but the management is a disaster. They promised me multiple times it will be 4000 to come and grab my vehicle. Now they are trying to charge me 5600 to grab my vehicle. The appraiser and oldManager so not work there anymore and made promises the current staff refuses to keep. They also ordered parts the insurance company did not approve so I am not getting reimbursed by my insurance for my rental car because they didn t run the part changes through insurance. This whole experience has been a disaster. The amount of stress this has caused me is insane..

I had a wonderful experience with John Harris. Not often did you get good customer service. The people that work in the front we're so friendly and knowledgeable about their jobs. They kept me well informed as the progress at my car. It was ahead of schedule. Look great! I highly recommend John Harris hands down.

Leo did a good job communicating with me and Kirby was very friendly at initial check in and with all of my questions and any issues I had. My SUV looked great when I got it back. Thank you for doing a great job. I m very glad they support USAA also...maybe in the future they will provide a military discount to members!!!

Friendly and informative staff. Car was a week late getting repaired due to parts not arriving, but other than that, was happy with repair. Had to get all tires filled with air before leaving because PSI levels were low when they brought me my car.Service: Body & TrimService: Body & Trim

I took my daughter s car there in June and they did not do a good job. The bumper was not secured on and found out from another body shop that they did not put the clamp that secures the bumper on. They had paint splattered on the window and did not attempt to clean it off. I guess experiences like this have caused this body shop to not be a preferred body shop for my insurance now. I have had several cars fixed over the years and within the last few years they have gotten slack. Beware of the poor customer service and lack of caring when you walk through the door too.

After the experience we had in SC, it was nice to deal with professionals. JR was great at keeping us informed of the progress of our vehicle and in making sure we were completely satisfied with the repairs when we picked it up. The man that did the repairs did a phenomenal job. There was $9500 worth of damage to my car and it looks like it just came off the assembly line. Kudos to all that work at this location. I would definitely go back there, if there was ever a need in SC. Thanks John Harris for an excellent job!

I had a 2x2 inch of my Porsche that had paint damage and they took care of it very well. Upon delivery, I noticed a spot that was not exactly what we agreed upon - they took the car back and fixed the car perfectly. You cant even tell the paint was blended!! It was a great experience working with Jose, who answered my calls and questions throughout the whole process.

Dropped our vehicle off in early November 2021. Every month they put us off. They now say it will be done on August 12, 2022. That is 9 months for those that are counting. I doubt they will be done then. They are probably pushing for a year to break an all time record for a repair. The only reason I am not leaving a zero is because you can't.Service: Body & Trim

I had my vehicle repaired here 6 months ago and everything looked and seemed great, until I need it to secure something in the back area and realize that hooks were missing. So I decided to call up and inquire to find out information only to have them tell me that they didn't work on that side of my vehicle when it has not been repaired anywhere else. I'm not saying you owe me a part but don't lie and say you didn't work on my car on one side when you clearly did and I paid out of pocket for it. Not only did I pay $600 for repair I know I'm going to have to locate parts and most likely pay another $50 for the small things that you couldn't put in that require one the screw a piece. The visual outside work is pretty good a little off on the matching on my bumper and my quarter panel by a quarter of an inch give or take a little more but decent. Would I recommend this location and/or business to anyone else, most likely not, due to them losing parts and denying things I will not use this business again, I will find another.

Was told parts may take a month or longer to get when I went to drop off. So I left and had it repaired at Eargles paint and body who had the part in 2 days. My wife's Vehicle looks showroom new! Thanks Eargles!! Stick with the Independant shop not the Corporate shops.

John Harris did a great job for me. The quality of the work was top shelf and the customer experience from the time I walked in was stellar. Shop Manager, Robert McIntyre, and all the members of his team demonstrated a commitment to excellence and each took ownership in the customer service process. I highly recommend them.

I booked an appointment with them 3 months in advance to get my car fixed and a week before my appointment they called and told me that my appointment is canceled because im not a priority since I wasn t paying through my insurance. Then proceed to tell me that there was nothing that they can do about it. Two weeks later they called me and said that they can get me in for July but I would have to pay extra money. Crazy.

I have had an excellent experience with John Harris Body Shop both times I have used them to repair my car. Their customer service is fantastic and work is done in a timely manner. They always take care of the customer. Highly recommend.

I m very disappointed with John Harris Body Shop. It took them 3 times to repair and paint my car and it still isn t correct. I m not going to recommend anyone to go to the Fontaine Rd. shop that s for sure. They did a good job repairing the area that was hit and damaged but they caused more issues where they painted the rest of my car to match where they did the repair work. I don t get it, you d think coming back after the first time someone would ve inspected my car better before I came to pick it up.

Went above and beyond what was expected. Used a grilled I preferred and re-imburrsed me the difference. Had to repaint my bumper and offered to make a minor repair in hood for very reasonable cost since they were already painting. If you crash into me, this is were I go. From courteous staff, to minute by minute updates online with progress and pictures, this outfit manages to take the mystery out of auto body repair. You're always in the loop and informed on the progress of your car. No one wants to deal with fixing damage to their vehicle, but if you must, take it here.

I typically prefer to work with John Harris but after they had my car for a week, I receive it back to realize my aux cord was stolen from my car while being serviced. Was looking forward to the continued partnership, but I'll choose another facility next time.

Second time using them . Very good work but somebody stole the gas out of tank . Took in with a full tank , got it back for with just under a 1/4 . Note your mileage and gas before you give them your vehicle . Take pictures of your gauges . This happened only once .

If I had an option of negative stars it'd be a negative 1000... DON'T TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS LOCATION... ALTHOUGH SOME OF THE PPL ARE NICE THEY ARE COMPLETE MORONS. My car was in an accident so it came here. The day I got my car back the headlight that I'd had recently replaced prior to the accident burnt out leaving the parking lot. Being a single mom and wrking all the time I did not have the money to fix it right away. And bc it was not something that happened in the accident I did not report it. I figured it fell on me. I did however call them about my check engine light being still on which it wasn't before The accident. I kept getting transferred to an answering machine and never got a return call. The accident caused damage to my whole front bumper. A few months later my father helped me with new brakes an oil change and a replacement bulb. When I picked my car up from the dealership they informed me that although the bulb was burnt out there was no power to that side of the bumper. They also said that I was the 3rd person within a weeks time to have an issue after taking their vehicle to John Harris!!!! I called and left 2 messages at John Harris about this and my check engine light (again) with no call back. Finally today (7 months later) I get my car up to John Harris and they want to play the blame game.. "you should have came sooner.." "we can't figure out what's wrong" "Call your insurance and if they can cover it we will send it to the dealer and fix it" "or you can take it to the dealer and if they can prove it was from the accident we will fix it or you will owe the dealer" "because it's not a fuse and the scanner isn't telling us anything" these are the kind of ppl that work at this location. I now will have to hire a lawyer! My highest opinion... GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND SAVE YOUR TIME AND MOST IMPORTANTLY YOUR MONEY BC THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!!!

Horrible service, my car was done and no one notified me. By chance I called today for an update and they told me it was ready yesterday. When I talked to the manager he was rude, unprofessional, and lied saying they gave me daily updates. Over priced. Horrible experience. Worse body shop I've ever been to.
