I've taken my own cars as well as my family's vehicles, domestic and foreign, to Danny's for over 10 years, and I've had great service *every single time*. These are the folks to go to when other guys are over their heads, too. Anyone who has ever tried to get a completely broken shifter cable on an older Hyundai fixed will appreciate that statement. They can do the small stuff like oil changes, too. Highly recommend them, without hesitation.

Hello! I was coming from Charlotte, NC on my way to Atlanta, GA and had some transmission issues. I was referred to Danny s Automotive through a local native of Columbia, SC when I stopped for gas and was worried about my transmission issues. Danny s could have turned me away when I called at 4:40pm (they close at 5pm) to request service for my transmission. They serviced my transmission!!!Amazing customer service , and a heart for the people Thanks Perry and Danny s Automotive, I m on my way back home to Charlotte, NC

It was my first time taking my SUV to have them fix the problem. Perry and his staff were very nice. The price was reasonable. I think Perry is a robot because he seemed to know his customers' car history .

I went in to have 1 stripped bolt taken out on a Monday, and the guy told me that he couldn't help me until Thursday and wasn't very friendly. I left and went around the corner to Northeast Car Care, and the guy there stopped what he was doing and took it out within a few minutes. Since he helped so quickly, I asked him to change my oil as well.

Care and honesty! I was amazed by the care that Perry put into ensuring his customers vehicles were correctly diagnosed prior to making repairs. This ensures that no short cuts were taken and the problem was fixed without random parts being thrown at a vehicle. Skill and customer care is a hard thing to find in today's fast pace make-a-buck automotive repair services. Give Danny's a call for your next vehicle repair needs.

My husband called at 11 to check on my SUV they were working on. They said the part was off and that it would be ready today. When I called at 4:30 to check they told me they couldn t get the part off (the part they had previously said was already off) and that it wouldn t be ready today. We re picking up the car unfinished because I refuse to give them any more of our money.Zero stars.

Extremely helpful staff. I usually try to do repairs myself but just didn't have what I needed. They drained my gas and replaced the fuel pump in under 2 hours. Not only were they fast but they dealt with me calling and asking questions and never hesitated to answer.

Took a very long time for repair. Put broken and bent parts back on the vehicle instead of informing us about them they just put them back on and eventually those parts needed to be dealt with in a separate repair instead of doing it all at once. The 1st repair that was needed they had to order parts for a problem where I could have been driving the vehicle while I waited. I stead they tore the truck apart and refused to put it back together while I waited for weeks for the part to come in

They are always busy - a good sign that they have repeat customers (like myself) - but they always get my vehicle in and in a timely manner. The employees are pleasant, courteous, and up front. You don't have to worry about being taken advantage of here. Definately recommend.

It was my first experience with Danny s Automotive. I had my Lincoln towed there after it wouldn't start. They were attentive, explained the problem and provided options. My battery, alternator and tire had to be replaced. They did an exceptional job. The place has gone downhill since Woody left. They left a vice grip on my radiator hose. I was lucky to check behind them on the work they did.

Overall great experience! My truck completely stopped on me because it overheated. Great work and they were honest with all that it took to fix it - no more, no less - and most likely saved me money in the long run. The only criticism I have is they didnt follow-up when they said they would. When I would call and ask for a status report, they would say "I'll call you back in an hour" or "before we close", but I always had to call back the next day. But still, would highly recommend for their work!

Totally recommend this place and would never go anywhere else. I bring all my vehicles here to have service and for all my tires. Very fair on the prices and never tries to overcharge. Show you exactly what's wrong with your vehicle and what's needed to be fix. Never try to over sell you! I called a week ahead to verify they could help; I was told a definite yes and had the car towed to them. NINETEEN days later, the car was still in the same spot and had not been touched. I called and went by a few times to check the status and was told there was additional things wrong with it but could never tell me what they were. When I called, I was told that someone was working to find the problem. He didn t know I was calling from the bldg. and could see the car had not moved. When I went to pick it up and TOW it (again) elsewhere, I was ignored for at least the first five min then the mechanic tellis me that it s something else . Ok, if you can t tell me what it is or act like you want to work on it, don t tell me anything. That is way too long to keep someone s vehicle not knowing if they have supplemental transportation. AND had to audacity to charge $135 for doing nothing to my car. No worries! You ll lose much more than that. It s fixed now after one day away from them. Needless to say I don t recommend nor will I go back.

I have been using these folks for over 20 years and I have recommended them to friends and family on a number of occasions. I trust them completely and wouldn't consider anyone else to work on my vehicle unless they recommended it. Danny's does excellent work at reasonable prices. They are not the least expensive. However, they do give a warranty on their work. On RARE occasion when their work didn't meet THEIR standards, THEY picked up the ENTIRE tab to make things correct. Very, very reputable!!

Hit a log on i20 instead of hitting another car. Well still lost as my car died and would not start back. Found them online because of their good reviews and being really close. Called them and asked about towing, they referred me to Roberts Towing. The guy that came and picked up my car was knowledgeable and nice. I loved the service that I received while at Danny's. I arrived around 430, and they were not able to fix my car that day, but had an idea what was wrong and had a quote for me. They even gave me a ride to a hotel when they closed! It was ready by 12 the next day, and was cheaper than the estimate. Thank you for having great service!

On May 10, 2016, my wife and i were traveling south to Orlando from Canada when a spark plug blew in my engine. After searching the internet for the dealership which we felt we could trust and would treat us fairly we were shocked at what the dealership was going to charge and take advantage of us because we were traveling through.Immediately, I then got referred to a Danny's Automotive garage. Woody and Harry were extremely profession, understanding and caring. The job was done in 3hrs for $400 much like my mechanic suggested, a warranty for 12,000 miles was given and it did not cost 10 times more than what the dealership wanted.It is extremely refreshing that there are still good people out there(Woody and Harry)not wanting to take advantage and prey on the traveling out of town public.I was at there mercy. They were professional, very understanding and extremely fair.i would highly recommend Danny's Automotive to any local family or traveling family.They will definitely take care of you and get you back on the road asap!

Called on Tuesday ask when would be a good time for a diagnostic on my truck, was told bring in Thursday morning they can look at it then open at 8 am. I didnt want to waste there time so i was there at 7:30a.m. When door opened at 8 gave him all the needed info and key to my truck. Stopped in at 3, 7 hours later they still havnt started the diognostic. Wasted my whole day. Really disapointed as well as my friend who recommended them.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

tldr; I don't take my vehicles to mechanics, except for an alignment, as I have a trust issue. I will take my vehicle to Danny's any day of the week. Honest, caring, hard-working, quick results, quality work, best mechanic shop in town. Walked in the shop expecting to pay at least $60, walked out with new knowledge of my vehicle and no bill.Awesome people! I needed to have my pitman arm torqued down to 450 lbs and my air tools would not go beyond 300 lbs (time to upgrade). I actually spoke with two separate individuals who had not spoken to each other and both of them separately told me to come up and they would do it for free. I have never, let me emphasize this, NEVER taken an item into a mechanics/auto repair shop and not walked out with a bill.Another thing that shows how dedicated they hard to helping people; he brought me back into the shop to watch him torque down the bolt for the pitman arm, since I had already partially torqued it prior to bringing it to the shop. I was under the impression that a pitman arm needed to be pressed completely down to the steering box. He very kindly and informatively told "torque the pitman arm down to the specified torque and that's as far as it should go".Not only did they provide me with a free service, but they actually taught me something about my vehicle that I didn't know. As someone who prides themself on knowing everything about their vehicle I was glad that he corrected my misinformation.

$1100 for a fuel pump install on a 12yr old car is as much as a dealership. Too pricey

Amazing place!! Took my 2015 Kia Optima in after hitting a pot hole and they checked it out to make sure everything was okay, when they actually found my transmission fluid was POURING out and I didn't even notice. They took my car in and had it ready in just two days. Not to mention the great customer service from the guys up front! Definitely recommend these guys to EVERYONE. Wouldn't trust anyone else with my car.

Honest and reliable. We have had a lot of repairs and general maintenance done at Danny's over the years. While it is true they are not the cheapest in town, when they quote you a price you can trust it and when the repair is done you can be sure it is right. When times are tight they can be trusted to only do what has to be done and give you a time frame and quotes for the remaining repairs.

I would like to acknowledge the Danny Auto Staff on an outstanding jobs and professional services and friendly environment and outstanding mechanics always give you the best knowledge about your car never push anything on you and very affordable. I have been with them over 20y. They deserve more than a 5star.

We will NEVER do business with them ever again and we don't recommend them to anyone else. We brought our truck in to get something fixed they charged us for fixing both sides only did 1. They said we could bring it back and they would fix the other side so we did. After they had our truck for 3 days they called and said it's going to cost us an extra $1100 when we already paid because THEY broke 2 bolts and needed to be paid for the extra 11 hours of labor. They have lied about multiple things saying the truck was completely rusted and that things kept going wrong and the truck was not rusted at all. They said the truck would be done Tuesday... it's now Friday and we were just now able to pick up our truck and they have had it for almost 2 weeks for an 11 hour job.

I highly recommend this place. I do light maintenance on my own vehicles and whatever I can t do, I will bring it here. There are highly knowledgeable and do an excellent job. I also do not have to worry about getting ripped off.

Took my car in for an estimate on a spark plug and wire change. Was quoted $660. Ok, so I go online and look up the exact part numbers on the estimate. They wanted $13 for each spark plug verses $4 online and $136 for the plugs verses 47 online. Parts prices are outrageous. However, I have had other work done and the quality of their work is good. Needless to say I have ordered the parts myself and am having someone else do the work.
