Jack and the crew at brakes for less were excellent. My car brakes were squealing and they fixed it and got me back on the road. I would use them every time and recommend them. If you need brakes come here. Great staff and the waiting area was clean and inviting.Services: Brakes, Brake service & repairServices: Brakes, Brake service & repair

I have a lifted 2020 Chevy Silverado on 24x12s.. made an appointment at 3:30PM (they close at 4:30PM) was informed that all 24 of my lugs were cross threaded and it was unsafe after they took one of my wheels off. So I asked for them to send a picture of the stud in which they agreed to do (obviously they never sent it) however they put the wheel back on the supposed cross threaded studs so I then asked to see the picture I requested and conveniently he couldn t produce said picture. Tried to insult my intelligence like I don t know about cars but they were just lazy because they were going to close in 1hr. 0-10 do not recommend.

I wouldn t recommend this place to anybody that expects to have their brake fluid checked when they get their brakes done here.Just took my truck to a shop that not only informed me, but showed me that not only had my brake fluid been overfilled, but it was also florescent green. This place either; 1, didn t check the brake fluid at all, or 2 (and most likely), over filled the brake fluid and failed to inform me that I had an excessive amount of water in my brake line that will lead to further brake damage if left untreated.

These guys really helped me out in a pinch. Professional and knowledgeable. I was impressed. I usually do my own brakes but ran into a problem and they were able to help me. I will be returning.

Kourtnee was nothing short of amazing when helping me get my car fixed. She was honest and as helpful as she could be and it made a very stressful event a lot less chaotic with her in my corner helping me navigate everything. Highly recommend!

The manager at this location is amazing. I went in thinking my brakes were bad and he helped me to see that my wheel bearings needed replaced as well as my brake pads. I appreciated him taking the time to show me what wheel bearings even are and demonstrated how mine needed replacing, which helped me to understand the importance and trust that they were being truthful. I had my work completed that day, and the team there worked relatively quickly and got me out a lot sooner than I expected. The pricing wasn t bad either.

These guys saved the day. Driving home from Charleston to Ohio and our brakes were barely hanging in there. Stopped in to see if they had time to help us out. Not only did they get us back on the road in about two hours, but the price was fair and they gave us honest advice on what needed done. Thanks so much for getting us back on the road safely!Service: Brake service & repair

Jack and his staff provided exceptional service. I was forced to come here because of bad service from another business in the area (Mavis Tire and Brakes). Jack provided a sense knowledge in what he was doing and concern! I highly recommend you come to this business if you have any brake related issues! 10/10Service: BrakesService: Brakes

I received excellent service. Jack was very friendly and knowledgeable about issues with my car. I got a better price here for brakes on all four wheels, than I was getting for just 2 elsewhere. When I need brakes again I will return here.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

Absolutely amazing service and I am very grateful for his customer service. I knew it was going to be spendy as I needed all 4 roters to be replaced. The manager kept the price down as much as possible, gave me an extra milage warranty, and a 10% military discount. We brought another car in and after a check he told us it didn't need service instead of changing out brakes that were good. He is honest and clearly there for the customer. Again thank you for the amazing service!

NOT SAFE. I WOULD AVOID. Long story but the gist is that the job was not completed safely by Garners Ferry. I was given completely false, dangerous, inaccurate information by the manager and the problem they created was incorrectly diagnosed and blamed on the age of the car, then blamed on me by the manager of the store. Read on for full story.Went because my brakes were grinding on the back passenger side wheel occasionally. Time to get the brakes changed. Manager seemed very nice upon arrival. Showed me a couple things about the car I did not know because the ABS light was on. Seemed very honest and sold me on a 4 wheel brake job with 40k mile warranty, which it needed, for about $230 which included pads, hardware, replacing brake fluid and machining the rotors. Took a while, but most automotive shops take a while so nothing unexpected there. Hard for them to predict how long every car will take.Problem was after the job was supposedly finished. The technician drove the car around and when he drove back asked if I had heard a knocking sound in the back drivers side wheel area before I brought the car in. I said no, and then the manager drove it around and confidently told me it was nothing to worry about and it was only the shocks riding stiff. Not anything to do with their work and brushed it off. His attitude seemed to change now that I was going out the door rather than coming in the door. I felt as though something may be wrong but I trusted the mechanic/manager that he was doing his job safely and properly and drove the car home. I certainly heard this new sound but thought maybe it was just the shocks and it was a coincidence. After my wife drove the car the next day she immediately noticed the sound. I new for sure it was not there before. Finally I decided to check it out myself because I did not want to take it back to them. When I looked under the car one of the bolts for the caliper was not fastened down at all. There was thread exposed that should have been screwed in flush with none of it showing. I called the shop and the manager was very agitated that I called back and was blaming the issue on his shop. I would imagine he remembered our conversation while I was leaving the day before. I told him about the bolt and he accused me of removing the bolt. Which makes absolutely no sense as his technician was the one who pointed out the sound in the first place. He once again told me that it was the shock, asked me how many miles the car had and clarified that was more evidence that the shocks were in fact the issue. He was very sarcastic on the phone as if he had heard it all before and I was just an annoying customer. He took no consideration to the safety of the situation or the seriousness. While he was very condescending, aggressive and sarcastic on the phone I was very calm until the end of the conversation when I told him point blank that he was, full of it.I had to call the corporate office and spend an entire day dealing with the situation and eventually driving the car to another Brakes 4 Less because they would not pay for anyone else to look at it. It was a huge hassle and the job was done unsafely at Garners Ferry. When I went to Decker the problem was fixed within 30 minutes. The sound was gone and it was very clear that the loose bolt was the culprit. The corporate office did get things sorted out and refund my money once it was clear that the Garners office was responsible.Decker was professional and apologetic, but don't think I will be supporting Brakes 4 Less ever again. ABSOLUTELY will not return to Garners Ferry. I would suggest you do the same an avoid this location at the very least. I do not know if the managers float between stores, but it seems like they are positioned in one location.

I mean, where else can you book an appointment at 2:00, then get four new brake pads installed by 4? Super friendly, great service here. They do have a small waiting room, so you ought to have someone drive with you. Maybe check out the neighborhood and come back. 5/5, will be back in the future!

I've often visited the Broad River Rd location, and the Garners Ferry Rd location twice. Writing the entire details of my last experience would take quite a while but just to get to the point: I had a very unpleasant experience on January 3, 2022. The manager has no customer service skills, is rude and seems to always have a chip on his shoulder. Calling corporate doesn't help either. They do not care. I wouldn't suggest anyone visit this location for any repairs. Poor customer service will ruin your experience.Service: Steering & suspension repair

All i can say is JAKE!! Now a days its hard to find nice genuine people. Jake greeted me with a smile, he offered me refreshments while i waited on my truck to be serviced. He was honest and very detailed on explaining what needed to be fixed. You can tell he loves what he does and loves helping people. As long as jake is there brakes for less on garner's ferry road definitely has my business!!Service: Brake service & repair

I admit that I held off a little too long to replace my brakes. A big reason is because I recently moved to the city so im comepletely in the dark when it comes tonfindong a good mechanic, also, Im tired of going into shops for light mechanical work and them trying to upsell every service under the sun. When I came in, I barely had any pad left on my brakes, no worries tho, the staff was very quick, professional and informative and they didnt try to upsell me on parts and repairs that I dont need right now. Instead, Jack, the manager, instructed me on best practices to keep my brakes in good condition and what symtoms to look out for and address to prevent a catastrophic failure in the future. I am very satisfied with the results and I highly recommend them if you are looking for good, honest mechanics to fix your breaksServices: Brakes, Brake service & repair

I called & got a next day appointment. I was text the next morning asking for confirmation & then suggested to ask for Jack. I walked in a little before my appointment time & he knew who I was. He checked me in, offered me a drink, & then assessed my vehicle. He soon came out to give me a price & showed me exactly what was going on & got to work. He called with an update as well. My vehicle was ready when getting back. #satisfiedcustomer

They fixed my brakes but tried to tell me my rotor needed changing when it was good. They broke my Toyota hubcap and then made it stay on with nylon tie but neglected to tell me they had damaged it. It was brand new. I would not trust them to fill up a tire with air. Old guys looking for easy money and commission. Save yourself the worry.Service: Brakes
