I had an emergency situation where I had to have my truck towed to Potter Automotive. I had not previously used Potter, but they have extremely awesome reviews, so it seemed to be the best choice in the area. They provided a quick but thorough analysis of the problem and an efficient and reasonably priced resolution. My truck is back on the road, and now I am a huge fan of Potter Automotive! Highly recommend.

Mechanics were extremely helpful, trustworthy and kind. I was able to get my car in immediately without waiting. Work was completed quickly. My vehicle was repaired and ready faster than expected. Mechanic was knowledgeable and used quality parts that were correct for my vehicle. My issues with engine sputtering were completely resolved and my car now has more power and gets better gas mileage again. Drives like it s brand new. As a single woman I would highly recommend this shop. It is such a blessing to find a mechanic that is honest, seeks only to complete a quality repair, and help keep you on the road. I will take my car here first always.

Moved to the area in spring, and luckily found Potter Automotive! Great friendly staff, that performs excellent work. Our family and 3 vehicles have been well taken care of, we even have our adult children using their services. Highly Recommend!

Interesting story, I received a bid from a Charlotte auto repair company for the upper timing covers and the oil filter housing gasket. Since the upper timing was over $800 and the oil filter housing over $1000 I thought it best to get another opinion. I recently had a very good 1st time experience with Potter on my cargo van, so I decided to call them about this latest repair quote. When AJ Potter looked at my car he told me and then showed me that there was nothing wrong with the upper timing cover. Needless to say, I appreciated his honesty and gave him the oil filter housing job. You need lots of trust In your mechanic, and I m here to tell you that AJ Potter is a man you can trust. Thanks

Just moved to Clover SC and luckily found Potter Automotive. They do great work for a fair price and have taken care of both of our vehicles. Very happy to find an honest mechanic so close to the house. Love the quick responses on calls, text messages and repairs. I m an out of town girl, was working in clover and got a flat tire. Thankfully, a Google search took me to Potter Automotive. AJ immediately installed my spare and gave me good advice on the new tire. AJ and Bryan were professional, courteous, and respectful. The garage is clean and well organized. If I lived nearby I would definitely take my Honda there for repairs and maintenance.

Very friendly and trustworthy people. Reasonable and honest when it comes to what is needed to be done. I will use them for all my vehicles 4 of them from a corvette to a 4x4 ram.

Honest, good communication and good work! Very expensive for what I needed done to my van, but it would have been even more anywhere else! I will definitely bring my vehicles back and will recommend to anyone that needs work on their vehicle!!!

I took my vehicle in to have a coolant loss issue diagnosed and the guys a Potter were very thorough and descriptive in their findings! They gave me great information showing the results of their diagnosis and supplied me with a great solution moving forward! This was my first time using their services and moving forward I will bring my vehicles here for their expert service!

As the other 174 reviews state....top notch, fair, honest, work with you, not a hard sell/upsell and accommodating! Do not hesitate! Warranty on work etc. They also participate with Affirm to finance your fixes! Lets face it, not everyone has money these days but need their car fixed. They have thought of it all!!!!

These guys are automotive DOCTORS and lived up to the 5 star reviews. Brought my SUV in from a northern state and they were honest (amazing!) about what the best course of action was going to be. Always a skeptic, I expected a bit of an upsell but what I got was the opposite. Not sure how all the chain stores are popping up around here when we have this place. Confident Potter Automotive could keep this heap running till 300k+ miles. I will be back for anything needed in the future.Service: Steering & suspension repair

I just can't say enough about Potter Automotive! AJ & Billie run an awesome, family-owned business that just happens to be very close to my home. (Lucky me!) I received a thorough estimate yesterday, parts were ordered, and today the work was completed, all at a great price. Not only is their expertise outstanding, but their business ethic is second to none. I'll definitely trust Potter Automotive for all my vehicle needs going forward.� Give them a try...you'll be glad you did!Update April 28, 2023:Still #1 for me! Potter Automotive makes it super easy to set up appointments online, including reminders automatically sent to my cell phone. Work on my vehicle began shortly after I arrived at the shop for scheduled maintenance. After a thorough inspection, I received a text with a link to a comprehensive list of items needing attention. I was able to pick which items I wanted repaired, accepted the estimate, and the work began. In fact, my vehicle was ready sooner than expected...what a nice surprise! I consider Potter Automotive my "go to" shop for consistently providing professional service by well-qualified technicians. Thanks to AJ, Billie & Bryan :)

I was very impressed by the service from Potter's! I got a detailed list of all the maintenance and problems with my vehicle. I got recommendations, as well as photos, with comments of what needed to be done. I was able to accept or decline each problem or maintenance recommendations that my car needed. They stayed in communication with me and were very thorough in their assessment. On the first visit, I chose what needed to be fixed, as well as what I could afford. I then was able to see what else I needed to get done and when I was able to budget those maintenance needs, I was able to schedule in advance of the repairs. I was able to approve them and Potter's was able to order and have ready all the parts I needed. Very pleased and would recommend going forward!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment, Oil change

Brought in my daughters Acura for a starter and other work. I will say, we were pleasantly surprised at the level of attention we received. Including photos, videos in our digital estimate. That in itself was very impressive.We were also very pleased with the attention to detail in their work. They used genuine Honda parts for the starter which is not easily accessible in her car. That makes sense, so we don t have to worry about a cheap replacement part failing and having to do that big job again in the near future. All with our prior approval of course! They stayed in continuous contact with us and provided updates along the way.I did some online estimates myself because this was a big job. They fell square in the middle between the high and low estimates I found for this job. I would say his pricing was very fair!3rd pleasant surprise, they gave us a packet which included the warranty for their work! Very professionally presented and unexpected. I have never dealt with a mechanic that provided me with warranty paperwork that covers their work like that.Overall, very pleased and would absolutely give them a 5 star rating! Potter Automotive has earned new customers that will continue to come back. They have earned our trust and respect. It is nice to know that we have found an honest, qualified mechanic, that does very good work and warranties that work, all for a VERY fair price! Took my daughter's car to get checked for ac issues. They ran diagnostics and provided me with a list of other issues which I expected since it's a older used car. However, I declined all the other issues and advised them to only address the AC issue. They went ahead and did the work. I never felt they were pushy about the other issues or tried to sell me on additional items. I felt the were honest and quick. I definitely recommend them. Staff was friendly and attentive. I plan to use them again if I need their services.

Potter Automotive is the kind of auto repair service I've been looking for since I move to the 20 years ago-- honest, competent, thorough, and professional. They clearly detail all their work in the mobile work order that is summarized on my phone (with photos) to approve or reject. They do a great job of communicating throughout the entire process. They are transparent about cost, effort, and the priority of every recommendation. Very happy with Potter Automotive so I thought I'd add to the positive reviews. I was able to set up an after hours drop off seamlessly over text message from the start. Very convenient for anyone who may not be able to readily take/make calls during the day. Since I dropped off after hours, the next morning the tech started my vehicle and made a video to upload to their fully digital web based service platform. I was able to click the link they sent in my text message, watch/listen to the video, and confirm that the sound in the video was the sound of concern. The effort to make sure they were on the same page is outstanding, and the video/pictures and communication throughout the repairs was excellent as well. Based on my own research I figured it would be a relatively costly repair, but I thought Potters price was fair, and every step was communicated, thoroughly explained, and then I approved via text/links as they went. I definitely recommend them and I will be using them for future repairs.

I had a used vehicle inspected there after I bought it from a large dealer. They found several problems and crash damage not reported. I returned the truck and now looking for another. I will have this business inspect the next one before I buy. They saved me many problems with their inspection and honest service. I would recommend them to everyone needing great professional service.

Had my first potter automotive experience the other day for an oil change and I m pretty sure that is where I ll go from now on for all my automotive needs. The staff was super friendly and helpful, especially the guy at the front, I think his name is Bryan. Very professional. I recommend Potter automotive for all car related issues
