I've used Valvoline instant oil change locations for several years now. My last visit to this particular location was less than expected.First of all I paid for a full service oil change, you know the one that they check all the fluids and lights and wipers, etc... I did NOT get what I paid for. Instead I got only the oil changed. They said they did everything else but as I sat in my car watching the whole process I can assure you that they rushed through the entire process and didn't complete all the checks. When I questioned the sales rep. I was treated very rudely and like I was incompetent and didn't have a clue what I was talking about. And stop showing me a perfectly clean air filter and telling me it needs changing again. I had just replaced it 2 changed back.I do feel bad for the young lady in the bay next to me. They pulled the dirty air filter trick on her, she didn't know any better and they sold her a new one to replace her clean one .I won't be using this location anymore.

I sent my son to this location after being satisfied will several oil changes. He is 15 and his first oil change. I specifically told him to get regular oil and not synthetic. The employee told him regular oil would damage his truck. He then felt pressured to get the higher priced oil change. This truck doesn't call for synthetic. I called to complain and Andrew the manager literally told me he was old enough to make his own decisions. He then proceeded to tell me if I didn't like the service there was plenty of oil change places around. Pathetic!!

Went here today for the first time and had the best experience. The men who worked on my car were quick but thorough. They noticed my Clemson parking pass and gave me the student discount that I didn t know existed without me asking. They were very kind to a girl who knows nothing about cars! TYLER IS THE BEST IVE SEEN AT WORK ETHIC AND CUSTOMER SERVICE, I have experienced in a long time . That s a rarity nowadays . Any company will be glad to steal him away . He not only makes you feel comfortable, but he s also knowledge which makes you feel that your vehicle is in safe hands. Thank you for having a employee with such a positive attitude . Super fast and friendly service! Didn't try convincing me to buy the most expensive oil or sell any services I didn't need. Spent less than 20 mins (it was not too busy) but they worked very hard! Very pleased with the experience.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

Never going here again. I agree with Mike, highway robbery and all I got was the oil change and a filter for $130. Never ever have I spent that much on an oil change. Just going to the dealership next time. More reliable, better service, and they know more of what they re doing. Didn t even have the decency to turn off the service light either and now my tire light is on. Bring back Havoline, they were 100,000x better, cheaper, friendlier, and more service for what you payServices: Air & cabin filter replacement, Oil change

Alec was great help! Not only did he fix the issue my engine was having, he also taught me a few things about my car. This is been my best experience at Valvoline so far and I will definitely be coming back here from now on! Thanks Alec!

Brandon & Micah are absolutely wonderful. Customer service is top notch & they made sure I didn t leave without getting everything I needed. They found the slow leak in my tire & plugged it for me, & gave me a new cap for my tire. Very knowledgeable. I won t go anywhere else!Services: Tires, Oil changeServices: Tires, Oil change

Went today for an oil change and tire rotation and could not have been more impressed with the service. Michael was the employee who helped me and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in choosing which type of oil to use based on what type of driving I do most. He also said it wasn't necessary to rotate my tires yet, and gave me a detailed and informative explanation why. I will definitely come here again.

The guys here were great. I went to get an oil change but my car is very old and they did not have the parts to do it. They informed me and then tried calling several different places (AutoZone) and even rival oil change services to see if they had the appropriate part (oil filter). They offered to provide me with a short and temporary solution (just new oil) but I personally decided to go out and buy the required part from a third party. They didn't charge me anything and were all very kind. It took less than 30 minutes including the time they took to call other places for my part. I would definitely recommend to those with a car that is not 30+ years old, if your car is of that age try and purchase the oil filter ahead of time using the part number

Went in for an oil change man was very rude, rolled his eyes when I needed assistance. I ask for a basic oil change and he gave me the highest price one without even informing me of my options like they did last time. He was very rude when speaking to me when I asked a question his responses were short and he just went to the next car. This place is anything but instant was there for almost an hour as he decided to serve another vehicle that arrived after me. I do not recommend this place at all I definitely believed I was ripped off. Avoid this place especially college students.Service: Oil change

I have been using this place for years as a student. I have relocated to Greenville but now teach at Clemson. The service had always been amazing until today. I showed up at 545p after teaching and before driving back home where no one would be open to do an oil change. They looked at me, walked to my car and said, "We don't have time to get you today sir". Granted, all stalls were currently taken, but that had NEVER EVER been a problem even with 5 minutes til with old management. I will not be going back. Your hours are posted. You close at 6p. Terrible way to treat a long time customer.

My s cond attempt at getting an oil change was as bad as my first. All 3 bays had cars and in 30 minutes of waiting not one car moved. Workers just walked around and talked to eachother or on their phones with a Duh look.

$113 to change oil, rotate tires, and change a cabin air filter! Highway robbery! $43 for the oil change and $25 to rotate tires. I was traveling for work out of town when I used these guys. I get oil change and tire rotation for $29.90 at Precision Tune. The cabin filter they sold for $40 costs less than $10. Did an oil change today (09/07/2020). Nothing was special until a mechanic (I know his name but I do not want to post his name here) asked me for a replacement of cabin air filter. I asked do I need to pay an extra? He said $35 and I said no just oil change. Then, he threw away the new filter to the corner in front of me. I do not think it is professional by throwing away what customer does not want to buy. Will think carefully before going there because it did not make me comfortable by this behavior.Service: Oil change

Went there several months ago to get my running light fixed on my Mini Cooper and they couldn t figure out how to change it. Not only that, but they chipped off a piece of my car when trying to figure it out and did not offer to pay for the damage. They also don t know how to reset my car computer.

It took over 50 minutes to get my oil changed and pay to leave. They were already really slow and then the internet went out so I couldn t pay to leave. Once I finally left I realized they didn t even top off all my fluids even though I was sitting there for more than 50 minutes! They had plenty of time to do that but instead they all stood around and talked to each other. I ll go somewhere else next time.Service: Oil change

I went here for two oil changes instead of going to a Mazda dealership, and after returning to a dealership it turns out that they stripped the drain plug. It is now completely ruined because they didn't have the proper tool to get it off and didn't bother to tell me. It's not expensive, but it's the principle of the matter. Horrible customer service and even worse workmanship. Do not waste your money here, it may end up costing you more in the long run.

What happened to this location? I have been coming here for years with all of my vehicles. Service here has gone down hill and is just terrible. Slow service and to busy trying to accomplish up sales. I would just like an oil change, something that should only take 10-15 minutes. I don t require a whole vehicle inspection for an oil change. Today I will be taking my business elsewhere.Service: Oil change

Called and asked for high mileage oil, they did not have high mileage oil but had max life. I asked to bring my own oil since that is the oil I want to put in my car. I was told that if I did, I would still be charged $29.99.If you bring ur own oil and filter at Ralph Hayes Toyota, you only pay $15 for labor and gasket.Valvoline insisting on still charging me for the full price even if I brought my own oil is absolutely ridiculous.

The first bad sign was that they charged me more than my dealership for an oil change. I was ok with this at first, as they're in Clemson and my dealership is in Greenville. Then came the issues. Two big ones:1. They tried to tell me I was finished and to drive off before putting the undercladding back over the oil pan. I actually pointed out that the large plastic piece laying on the ground in front of us belonged on my car.2. As soon as I drove off, I could tell my engine wasn't revving correctly. Come to find out, even after I told them not to check fluids or filters, they checked them both, and didn't put the engine air filter cover back on properly. It didn't cause any issues but it didn't sound right at all.TL;DR: An expensive way to get cheap work.

So My husband and I went to have our battery checked here to see if it just needed a charge or if it needed to be replaced. We had previously taken it to Advance Auto and they checked and said our warranty was up to date if it needed to be replaced. We get to valvoline and they tried to tell us that the battery we bought 2 years ago was from 2013 and we knew 100% it was not. They told us a knew one would be 130 and really we had a warranty. We have since taken it to 3 more places who all have agreed that our warranty was active! These guys either dont know how to read a battery correctly or they tried to pull a fast ome on us. Needless to say we got a new battery with our warranty somewhere else! And will never again take our business here.

Was washing my truck at the car wash when one of the employees at the oil change station came over and asked me (in what seemed like his poor attempt at being intimidating) if I was going to clean that up. At first I wasn't sure if I had heard him correctly, so I said excuse me. In the same tone he asked again if I was going to clean that up. I told him in a very confused voice cause I couldn't believe that I was getting asked that in that way that yes I was going to clean it up. Yeah I did have quite a bit of pine straw one the ground from the back of my truck, but I had just started washing my truck and I had every intention in cleaning up my mess. After he drove away, which I still can't figure out why he drove over when the station was only a few feet away from the car wash station. Then a few minutes later a couple of the other guys walked over and started cleaning up the mess that was not under my truck as I was still washing my truck. I told them not to worry about it that I was going to get it. The guy asked me if I had anything to get it with. I told him no that I was going to walk over to the shop and ask for a broom. The guy who was an older fellow said that they would get it since I offered to clean it up. As they were cleaning it up the same guy drove back over and started asking them why they were cleaning it up. That since I made the mess I should be the one cleaning it up. They said that I had offered and that they didn't mind. As the guy was still there in his car I said well yall don't have to worry about me coming back here again. Can't believe I am getting harassed about something like this. After I got done washing my truck I did clean up the mess that and left. The guy I am talking about drives a silver car. So if you go to the car wash (which I highly recommend you don't) Expect to get harassed by him. I am trying to find the number to the district manager, but I figured that A. He might read these and B. I might help someone from getting harassed. I recommend going to another car wash station.
