Although they ultimately could not fix the issue with my car, they were quite diligent in all of their efforts, and were very communicative while working on it. They are much better than the dealer. If you have a VW, you should go here.

There is a reason this place is so highly rated. They are taking care of my 2018 S5 and I couldn t be happier. Every time I bring it in I look forward to getting it back knowing how much better it is going to drive (and that it has been inspected by true experts). They have consistently given my great service and earned my trust by not charging me for anything I don t need. I can t imagine owning an Audi and not having this place to care for it (rather than an expensive and untrustworthy dealership).

I wanted to take a moment to share my consistently positive experiences at V-Dub over the last 2 years - After moving to SC from MD, I had the fear of not being able to find a reliable mechanic or shop, but I am glad I stumbled upon these doctors.From the very first visit, to my most recent, they have always been attentive, knowledgeable, and thorough with their recommendations and expertise. Tom, Ted, and the entire team have consistently demonstrated a commitment to not only customer satisfaction, but most importantly making sure my CC is safe to hit the streets.What truly stands out is the consistency in the quality of service. If these guys told me I needed a new car tomorrow, I'd take their word for it - I trust no one else.Truly the best in Charleston!

Was recommended here after I bought my wife a 2012 GTI, previous owner always took it here, and I've continued that tradition; always a great experience and very fairly priced, they also explain the repairs they are doing and how to prevent further damage. Highly recommended if you own a Volkswagen or Audi.

If you re looking for a trust worthy mechanic to go to, V- Dub Doc is the place to go to. They treat your car as if it s their own. I would recommend 10 out 10. The service is great and the prices are fairly reasonable compared to other places.

Not a review type of guy, but I gotta hand it to Ted, Tom and the rest of the team at V-Dub Doctors for taking care of me. Had an unfortunate repair dealing with the sunroof in my MK7 Golf. A 3rd party shop broke my sunroof frame, a part that s on backorder across the nation (8 month wait) and basically left me out to dry. So now my car has no windshield and no roof. The guy who broke my sunroof frame didn t know what to tell me and totally bailed on the whole situation and local dealerships denied repairs. Luckily the guys over at V-Dub doctors were willing to step up and performed the repairs.These guys are top notch! 10/10

The best mechanic experience I ve had :) especially as a girl! It always feels like someone s trying to pull one over on me since I know nothing about cars but they were really kind and tried to let me know what actually needed to be fixed and what didn t have to be/could wait. Very honest and sweet

Ted and Tom were great! After suffering multiple disaster repairs from Stoke s VW Dealership, I decided to give V-Dub a try. So far they are batting 100% and definitely stand-by their professional work commitment. Best customer service and best mechanics for VW/Audi and even other vehicles. It s the only place I would take any of my vehicles. Truly top notch service with extremely fair pricing. Can t say enough good things about the team here

Appointment setting was easy...a little bit of a wait to get in, but understandable and worth it. Very knowledgeable and personable (greeted by name when I called back) was quoted a price and that's the price I paid. They send you a text with a link to view your estimate (low compared to others) and invoices, super convenient. The work (front struts replaced) was done in a reasonable amount of time on my appointment day. Would definitely recommend V-Dub Doctors to any VW and Audi owners out there!

I've been a repeat customer for the last two years and for a SOLID reason. The guys at this shop always do a top notch job in a) getting my car taken care of quickly and b) doing great work without breaking my bank account. They're always happy to talk through whats going on and/or what needs doing with my car and, while nobody wants to spend money on maintenance etc, I never feel like I'm throwing money away when I do it here. If you're looking for a spot to get your VW taken care of properly I cant recommend VW Doctors enough.

My first time working with V-Dub Doctors went wonderfully. Brought my Audi in for an oil change, transmission drain and fill, and spark plug replacement. Everyone there was courteous and professional. Booking system was a breeze with plenty of text updates and reminders along the way. Prices were very reasonable, roughly 50% of what I would ve paid at a certain someplace on Savannah Hwy. Would highly recommend and look forward to working with them again soon.Services: Transmission, Transmission replacement, Auto maintenance, Oil change

V-Dub Doctors installed my APR Stage 1 Tune on my 2019 VW GTI. I couldn t be happier. I spoke with Ted for the most part, he is knowledgeable and polite. Their waiting room is clean and well put together. He provided options and suggestions for lowering springs and what I should expect with my new tune. Once my factory maintenance plan is up, I ll be using V-Dub Doctors for my services, even if I have to drive from Summerville.

These guys go above and beyond, finding a honest, trustworthy mechanic is not easy these days. They have a passion for what they do and it shows, the attention to detail is obvious . They won't waste your money on things you don't need. I could go into an entire page of why these guys are the best shop to use.But I'll just say this instead, if you own an Audi or Volkswagen this is the mechanic you want to take your vehicle to... If you have a VW, don't take it ANYWHERE but here. The staff here is incredibly reliable. They do their job well, efficiently, and are true to their word on when your beloved VW will be done. Their prices are unbeatable and the way they communicated to me as a woman customer was with respect and they never once made me feel like I didn't know anything about my car. I will ONLY ever be taking my car here for any work/ maintenance, and you should, too. Cannot recommend this place enough.

We ve been taking our Jetta TDI and our GTIs there for the last 3 years. They are consistently better in price, communication, and honesty than the dealer mechanics. They re fast and efficient and truly look out for you and what s best for your car s life. Bought my 2018 S5 used in 2020 which came with the Audi Care. On the recommendation of an Audi friend enthusiast, I was told to take my car to VWDocs when it expired. Very glad I did. Needed a wheel bearing replacement and got a tuneup. Guys are total professionals. Car has never driven better!

We were travelling from our home in Florida last summer and I noticed a puff of smoke in the rearview mirror. Several minutes later the dash was lighting up like a Christmas tree. Something in the cooling system had failed. We were on I 95 (in the middle of nowhere) near Walterboro and literally 60 miles from the nearest VW dealer. I should mention we were driving our VW diesel Jetta that we just had serviced at our local VW dealer in advance of our travel. Now we were stranded. After filling the radiator with bottled water we were able to limp off the highway somewhere around exit 68. A nice lady at the convenient store directed me across the road to a highway mechanic. We looked under the hood and found the problem hose fitting.It was clear that I needed a specialized part and service so I called the nearest VW dealer in Charleston, SC. I asked if they could help me out and get me in on an emergency basis. She kind of laughed and said she would not be able to get me in for three weeks! They didn't have the parts either. She was able to give me the contact information for VDub Doctors and spoke highly of Tom. I spoke with Tom who thought he might have the part in stock. And if I could get the car to him by 5:30 he would try to get me back on the road that evening. I spoke to him at 2:00 and after a major thunderstorm and delay AAA dropped us off at his door at 5:15. He said it was ok and that he had planned on working late anyway. He had the fitting but it was for the gas model that had an additional hose connection (that had to be blocked off) and he was uncomfortable sending me on such a long journey with something that was not quite right. He found the part in New Jersey and they would have it in his shop before noon the next morning. We drove to a hotel and spent the evening. I had decided to rent a car and continue our journey and leave my car at VDub Doctors for repair so I called Tom and told him of my decision.As I was talking he told me the UPS driver had just walked in and that the parts were in his hands. He told me to drive right over and he would fix it immediately. He said we would be on the road by noon and we were.I know a lot about cars and a lot about people. This was an absolute miracle to find such a kind and dedicated person and for him to track down specialized parts from a reliable supplier hundreds of miles away (overnight!). This guy knows VW/Audi and his work is top-shelf! I should also mention that his prices were more than reasonable. Their shop was clean and organized and his waiting are was comfortable. I can only say thanks to him. I wish his shop was here in Florida. Thanks for saving our vacation! I will be eternally grateful for his kindness, compassion and concern!!!!! You are the best in more ways than one.Service: Engine repair

Finding mechanics in this area to work on VW's can be tough, but seem to have hit the jackpot with this place. Quality service, reasonable pricing, and good guys. Definitely recommend!

These guys are fantastic!!! I have brought multiple vehicles in now for general maintenance and repair. They diagnosed and fixed a check engine light throwing multiple error codes within a couple hours. Recommendations are always made professionally but not forced on you. All work is competitively priced.On a personal note, more than once I needed help on a very short timeline and they not only got me in but on my way quickly with my issues resolved.Services: Transmission, Carburetor cleaning, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

I just took my Audi to V-Dub Doctors today for an oil change. Ted & the rest of the crew were great! I received an estimate last week. I really like knowing the cost prior to the work being completed.I dropped the car off in the morning and the work was complered way before noon.They gave me estimates of recommended maintenance. I'm so happy with the service, I plan to take my car for the recommended maintenance, take my son's VW and my girlfriend's Audi.Great shop for your VW - Audi repairs.
