No, wait. Super nice guys didn't charge me a cent to do a patch on my tire. I would have gladly paid for the excellent service. Highly recommend this shop to anyone who has the need of friendly fast service, with a smile. Hospitality at its finest!

Nothing but great things to say. Had some exhaust clerance issues with my 2015 mustang gt. Andy, the owner, took very good care of me and placed some additonal hangers and made adjustments where needed. Watched him interact with multiple customers while there to include adjusting work on my buddies Audi RS3 and he is a great honest guy. Stayed after hours just to get things done correctly , 10/10 will use again or send people his way

The shop owner, was very good at getting myself and others taken care of. I went to this shop to get my Magnaflow muffler installed and also got a cat delete done as well. I came to this shop because Bobs Masterbend was more interested in going to a baseball game rather than working on cars. University Auto will get you taken care of with quality work at a very affordable price and I highly recommend! Here's the before and after pictures.Service: Exhaust

Service was fast, quality welds. And he was nice enough to make sure the welds were protected and painted over correctly. Was very curious to my concerns with the leak and I left very happy.

Amazing customer service, reliable, and trustworthy! I had gone to another place which came back with a super high quote of a bunch of problems my car supposedly had. I came here for a second opinion and am so glad I did! I will be going to them for all my auto problems from now on.

If you can look beyond the faded and chipped paint, no fancy waiting room or lobby, no real organized parking lot and obvious clutter... you will find a Great, Qualified and Honest auto repair/muffler shop in North Charleston, SC! Our Mazda CX-9 was experiencing a noise when backing up, the guys put the SUV on the lift and reviewed everything. Here's what they found: a bad tie-rod, a loose noisy heat shield, and two holes in the exhaust... In short time they replaced and or repaired everything, checked all the brakes and fluids and had me back on the road in @ 2hrs, all for less than $250. !! It kind of makes you think twice about telling everyone how great they are... as you want it to be "your guys". The secret is out now! :)Services: Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair

As of right now not pleased at all exaust looks like it was welded by two different people, some welds are good some aren't, what I'm more frustrated about is my truck came stock with 2 and a half in pipes they put a smaller piped inside the stock pipe and welded a bunch of adapters to a even smaller pipe causing restrictions on a 2022 6.2 l v8 chevy, and at last the exaust is denting and rubbing heat shield for spare tire and causing a horrific grinding noise made a phone call and hoping I can change this review but as of now I am very upset paid 475$ and feel robbed the owner of this truck is my brother who knows nothing about mechanics and I feel he was taken advantage of!!!

Excellent work I took my LS swapped Nissan 240 to them. They had no issues making an exhaust from the Y pipe I had on the car back to the muffler I brought them. The piping and clearance has plenty of clearance.

Got of work early to see if they could put a radiator on. Not only they couldn't put it on, the guy said he would have to take off the bumper just to change it. Not only he was wrong, these guys wasted and hour off my time to tell me this. Maybe they are good for brakes on a bicycle

Went in for a muffler delete on my Acura type s , in around 12:30 was ready by 2 Man this was the fastest most professional service I ve had with a shop ! I m a diy guy but this shop gave me faith in good price worthy auto guys ! I appreciate it so much I called back to say thanks after driving off . 10/10 would be coming back for more work !!Service: Exhaust

Ran me $300 to have an amazon exhaust kit mounted on a chevy. I had a mount that has broken in about a year of use, but that fault is mine for using low quality hangers. I noticed months ago that some of the pipe welds had small holes in them. Owner told me they had better equipment and tools than any place around.

The customer service is great! Came here to get my brake vacuum pump fixed, the ignition coils and replace a gasket in the engine all for $400. I did provide my own GM Genuine ignition coils. Regardless that price was excellent. Everywhere else wanted $600 to 800 for the same service. These people are honest. They are right by my child's school so I'd often pass them by but I always saw them diligently working on another's car and customers smiling and shaking hands. That's a great sign. Will definitely be back for more service and update this post with each service. Oh and I have a 2017 Chevy Malibu LT. If you know you know.... I live in Columbia SC for college and my exhaust pipe had rusted and broken, requiring a replacement of it and the catalytic converter. The first mechanic I went to took almost a week to complete this job (kept adding time for how long it'd take) and then one and a half weeks later, I'm here in Summerville for Spring Break and the catalytic converter fell off on the interstate because they never screwed it in! My father called University Auto and Muffler and they were willing to take a look at it immediately, and I got it fixed within 72 hours even though they had to struggle with the other mechanic's warranty to receive payment. They helped to find the cheapest converter, were patient with the difficult warranty company, and even helped me by adding power steering fluid because he noticed it was low. The primary gentleman my father and I spoke with was Andy and he was just amazing; but everyone else was great too!! 100/10 recommend for fantastic service, quick responsiveness, and truly kind-hearted people. Will be coming back for any and all car troubles, as would anyone be in my family.

Satisfied customer. Communicated with me every step of the way as they installed my aftermarket muffler on my 97 4Runner. He made sure I was happy with the placement before welding. Fast service, in-and-out, nice work, & fair price. 2 thumbs up for me.

My mother in laws catalytic converter melted down and stopped up from 3 cylinders misfiring while we were in town for vacation. We pulled in and instantly were assisted. Very very nice trustworthy guys got us right in repaired her car for a very reasonable price. 110% recommend these guys for your auto or exhaust needs if your in North Charleston! These guys are awesome! Great customer service, which you can t find anymore, and excellent work. Would definitely recommend them. They did muffler work on my uncles truck and fathers Dakota. I took my Ram there to get a 40 Series Flowmaster installed. Man does she sound sweet!

Called today about muffler problem and was greeted with friendly service, and a same day appointment! Showed up on time, got a great lesson on what was wrong and what it would take to fix it... 1 hour later I was paying and on my way! Owner was even super nice to my kiddos! Great experience and quality work!

If I could give Mike more than 5 stars, I gladly would! I took my car in Monday morning, without an appointment, so I was anticipating my car to be there for a few days. I had asked if he could give me a quote and let me know how long it would take before he started any work. Within the next hour, he had a quote for me, and told me he could be finished later that day. A few hours later, my car was fixed, and the work done was less than the quoted price!He called me to keep my updated on what was wrong, what needed to be done (to get my approval first), and how much it would be. Not many mechanics anymore would go out of their way to call and inform the customer what is going on before doing the work.If you want to go somewhere with an honest, and caring person, do not hesitate to go to University Tire & Muffler! My expectations were met, plus more than I could have thought from a car shop. These are truly good guys, and they care about the work they do. Thank you again, Mike!!

I had my muffler and exhaust tip put on here a week or so ago. Mike (The Owner) did a excellent job and gave me a great deal. He installed it within 30 minutes of being there and did an excellent job. It was installed on my 2010 Tacoma. He was very friendly and I watched him while doing my truck which he did professionally.

Went by University Tire & Muffler to see if they could help with an exhaust project I was having trouble with. Should have gone there first, before ordering parts. We made an appointment for the following day and Mike fabricated the part I needed right there in his shop, with a single piece of tubing and installed it while I waited. No leaks, clean work, quick results, and at a price far better than the "big name" shops. I'm glad to have found this business and will be recommending Mike to anyone in need of a good honest mechanic.

Outstanding service. Rolled up with work truck (Dodge Dakota 2000) for replacement of pipes and muffler, Mike Morris met me at the front of the shop, fair & reasonable price was set after looking at requested service, work was completed in less than one hour. Good customer service. Free advice on future brake needs too.
