Hugh went over the process of buying a car with me very well. I got a wonderful car!! Exactly what I wanted. It was great doing business at H and J! I would definitely buy from them again.

Best advise....STAY AWAY!!! I struggled to even give a 1 star rating! I purchased a vehicle 3 weeks ago. Yesterday the breaks started going out. Turns out the Master Cylinder had to be replaced, $578!!! Called the owner to let him know what was going on because I had only put 400 miles on the car. Rudest man I have ever dealt with! Told me reviews didn't bother him! I was only asking if he could help me with the issue.My trust in him and his shady car dealership is long gone! After upsetting me to the point of tears he said to have it towed to the shop but would not give me a price for the repairs. He did say I needed to call a tow company to have it towed from Summerville to West Ashley, at my expense!I'm a 64 year old single grandmother raising my 2.5 year old developmental challenged grandson on a fixed income. Owner could care less!It was also discovered that the rotors were warped and covered up with new brake pads!Please pass this place by and tell your friends and family to stay away too!!!

Not only is Hugh, the owner stealing money, but is also extremely unprofessional. Half of running a business is providing exceptional customer service. If you can t provide it, you shouldn t own it. Lose the disrespect and do better.

Hugh, the owner, clearly doesn t know how to treat people. He was horrible to a customer that he sold a car to that then broke down. He doesn t care to be kind to her, to try and be helpful or just understanding. He is clearly only in it to make money. Don t spend yours with him.

Really wish I could give this place NO STARS. Me and my spouse brought a car from H&J wholesale and the car is No dam good ppl please be carefully purchasing from this place. And this is just the beginning I am going to take my complaint as far as I can go please please do NOT purchase any cars from H & J WHOLESALE

Honest deals and good people. You won't find better prices on late model used cars. I've been buying cars and trucks from Hugh for over 20 years and he's always been just a phone call away to handle any questions or concerns.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!! I am 8 months pregnant and went and purchased a 2011 Chevy traverse with 136000 miles on it. Drove it for a week and a half and the engine blew. By the way, told me if ANYTHING happened, to bring it to them. There shop would take care of it because they weren t in the business to get people. Well, told me to fix it I would have to pay $3000 or they would put me into something else. These were the only options I had. They put me in a 2007 Saturn outlook with 197000 miles on it! Showed me a carfax. Assured me I wouldn t have issues because they didn t want to deal with me anymore. Tried to make me pay the same I paid for the traverse, when they had the outlook listed on their website for 1000 less. Billy argued with me saying that the owner goes in playing with stuff and it was incorrect, but the Craigslist price was right. Ummm...what? After accusing them of falsely advertising, they dropped it to the correct price. The second day I had the vehicle oil pressure sensor comes on. Engine light on. Took it to get a full look over. The oil pressure sensor is leaking oil in the center , the pcv hose is broken to the intake boot(looks like they tried to makeshift one), and the passenger airbag won t deploy if me and my kids are in a wreck. I also have been told fixing those items may not actually fix the issue and if it doesn t I will need a whole new engine. Please, for all that s holy, don t buy from these people. I m in the process of filling a complaint with the BBB and talking to a lawyer to see if I have any options with two vehicles needing new engines in a month. If they are willing to do this to someone pregnant and with 4 children, they will do this to ANYONE!

Well after getting the truck dry after washing the engine they tuned it up n drove till it ran proper and delivered it to Summerville for me. Well 3-4 weeks go by now no tag yet and I am realizing that all though 3 tires are pretty similar tread pattern all 3 are different brands and one a different width. Ok new tires. After numerous texts calls and BS stories from Billy, tag shows up the day before temp expires. I had planed on only financing truck for 2 months Good thing. Well I in fact paid it off now lien release comes and says someone else I have never seen nor heard of owns the vehicle. Everyone wants to say not my fault. Well I called SCDMV and they re on it! It is on them and/or the lender to fix or I have a legal action. At your own risk people!!!Update: parts to date : both banks O2 sensors, mass air flow sensor, computer, ignition, crank shaft sensor and last I hope, fuel pump. $800 plus in parts and over $500 labor. The check engine light is disabled and does not work even with new computer huh ? Hmmmm.....

Billy, Tommy and Hugh were great to work with. I bought a car and due to me being at work, I couldn't pick it up, Billy drove it and delivered it to my house. That's amazing customer service!

High mileage. Not worth the price. I saw some of the vehicles for $6000.00 cash price with over 200,000 miles. Not worth it when problems occur around then.

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!!!! NO GOOD CARS AT ALL. THE SALES PEOPLE ARE CON MEN. THAT FIRST COMMENT IS A LIE. IF YOU WANT A CAR THAT'S GOING TO RUN AND WORTH PUT MONEY TO MY ADVICE IS GO ON A TRUE CAR LOT THAT GOING TO MAKE SURE THEY'RE NOT SELLING YOU A BUM ASS CAR AND HAVE NO SHAME IN DOING IT. TRUST ME I M NOT GOING TO PUT UP ANYTHING IF NOT GOING TO HELP THIS CAR LOT IS NOT THE PLACE TO GO. I RATHER WALK THEN BUY A CAR FROM THERE. WARNING TO ALL YOU FIRST TIME CAR BUYERS DON'T DO IT NOT WORTH IT AT ALL.
