Having my car repaired after an accident is a new and very draining experience. Fender mender being so thorough in expecting my car to make sure it is brought back to its original state is very reassuring. Even more so the young lady that performed the inspection was amazing! Everyone at the shop was very helpful from start to finish - I felt heard and they explained every step on dealing with insurance to what I needed to complete. My car was finished early and the staff s communication every step of the way was incredible.

I called this morning and spoke to Rice ( not how you spell his name but he stated he would not give the correct spelling ) since I told him I would be leaving a review and he asked how can you leave a review when you haven't even had any work done? Well buddy this is how! I asked about having my daughter's car looked at for frame damage and he stated he could NOT help because "we have over 80 cars on our lot" That's great turn away work! I'd like to thank you and "she" whomever that maybe for a job well done today! I may only be only person but this one person WILL NOT be doing business with Fender Mender EVER! Does that seem accurate Rice to our conversation that took place this morning?

So happy with my experience at Fender Mender. I was in an accident on Dec 18th and called a few shops, most of which told me that they wouldn't look at my car until after the first of the year. Fender Mender told me to swing by, confirmed my vehicle had significant damage and shouldn't be on the road and took it in that day. Entire staff was very friendly, communication was fantastic through the entire process, repairs were done perfectly and I got my car back on Dec 31 despite the days lost to holidays. What could have been a frustrating experience was a total breeze. Thank you Fender Mender!

Great experience start to finish. I appreciate the updates as my car moved through the repair process. I was in a small accident and when I picked it up it was like it never happened! They didn't let me leave until they knew I was happy with everything and walked me through the whole repair sequence. The staff are amazing, helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. I was very pleased with the work that I had done, obviously in this economy we have to try to take care of our vehicles to make them last. I found Tammy to be both helpful and knowledgeable, she was a friendly face throughout my repair and made sure it was done to my complete satisfaction. Fender mender made everything so easy! They fixed the dent on my driver door from hitting a cement light pole. They were fast and efficient and dealt with the insurance as well as enterprise. My car looks brand new! I highly recommend!

I tried multiple times to set up an appointment for an estimate, even weeks in advance, but have not been successful. $100 fee for an estimate that is deductible, if you use your service. Ok I have never run into a place that doesn t care about the customer as much as you. I give up.Back again I stopped in for the 4th time. I was told that the estimator was completing an estimate and then that would be the last one for the day (3:30). I guess their complaint responses are just a rubber stamp that they don t stand by. I don t understand the business model for this company and I was a car dealer who worked with multiple body shops. Time to move on.

No integrity, unprofessional conduct, poor communication and extremely rude office manager. They painted the hood of our car the wrong color, refused to speak with us and wouldn't correct the paint to match the car. I had a great experience working with Tammy, she was professional, and quick!I had a ton of trouble actually getting my vehicle to their shop because of recall work, and other maintenance tasks, and they rescheduled my drop-off date multiple times without anyone ever being rude, they were nothing but understanding and accommodating.As for the repair, I couldn't be more impressed. The paint is blended really well and there is no indication that a dent was ever in the driver's door. It was unfortunate that they only use OEM replacement -- which most are not available for my vehicle anymore. I certainly would have been fine with aftermarket trim moldings. Oh and the rebuild quality was good, gapped nicely, level with the frame, no loose bits.I would use them again for sure, especially if I get to work with Tammy.

Don't use this shop if you actually want your car fixed. Horrible experience and Tammy (the estimate person/office manager) is rude and condescending. We scheduled an estimate to get our car fixed after an accident as they are one of our insurance company's preferred shops. We took it in after waiting a week and a half and they didn't even write the estimate. They said they deleted it out of their system after it got to 6800 as it would go way beyond that and they couldn't finish it. (It was just the front corner of the car.) They said they had to take it apart and start fixing it before we could get an estimate and we had to make another appointment bring it back 2 weeks later. When we brought it in the 2nd time, we found out they were just taking it apart to total it for the insurance. Never told us that before. My insurance company said that they would complete the estimate and then we could see if we wanted to fix it and look at options depending on the amount. Terrible communication and they acted like we were crazy when we were in there. They told us that they wouldn't fix it and nobody else would either. We didn't leave it there because we wanted to keep it and they were so horrible, so we took it to another of our insurance company's preferred shops (Better Collision MP) and they completely fixed our car for $5100. Not sure what is going on with the shop but don't go there. Wasted 3 weeks of our time not planning to even fix our car and having to deal with being treated rudely.

Everyone I spoke to at Fender Mender was polite and professional. It was easy to schedule an evaluation, and the recommended repairs were very reasonable. I was pleased with the results, and communication every step of the way. I would absolutely recommend Fender Mender.

I have used Fender Mender 4 times over the years. 1. Running into a deer. 2. Getting rear ended. 3. Running over a bucket of caustic chemical. 4. Getting rear ended again. All in different vehicles. The best body work in town . Honest place too.Robert Flynn Charleston SC

I took my vehicle to this location and was given a turnaround time of 2 weeks. I completely understand things sometimes take a bit longer and had no issue when they called and told me it would be an additional week to allow for a part to come in. I was told they would call me when my vehicle was ready for pickup. After waiting the additional week and hearing nothing, I gave them a call. Turns out, they never even ordered my part and it obviously hadn't come in. They hadn't even started working on my vehicle. They apologized and let me know they'd expedite everything with a new 2 week finish date. After 2 more weeks, guess who didn't call. I gave them a call and they said they were having trouble putting the vehicle together. They told me it would be an additional month. So that's 2 months on the clock now. I was told they would call, text, and email when the vehicle was halfway completed so I knew they were on track. They did none of those things. Why? Because when I gave them a call, I found out it still hadn't been started. After getting my insurance company involved in a large way, and 2 more missed completion dates with no communication, I finally called to let them know I'd be taking my business elsewhere and that I'd bring a trailer to pick up and haul the half completed vehicle away. Perhaps it was the prospect of hearing the insurance company would not be paying them and lawyers would be getting involved (per the insurance company) that finally kicked the employees into gear. After three and a half months of hassle and headaches, my vehicle was completed. The workmanship is loosely acceptable. I've definitely seen better work. Then again, I've also used shops that were clearly better and more professional. I'm definitely not impressed by the lack of professionalism, communication, and timelines that this location demonstrated. I will not be back and I will make sure anyone who asks for a local recommendation will hear NOT to give this place their business. I was texted twice weekly as promised updating me on the status of my vehicle. All my questions were answered & entire process explained to me.

Aaron was more than accommodating with my repairs. He kept me up to date on the progress of my car and he was polite every time he spoke to me. The finished product was excellent! My car was squeaky clean and did not even look as though there was an accident. Aaron was very helpful in answering all of my questions. I would absolutely recommend this Fender Mender to anyone who needs assistance with their vehicle. Aaron was very professional and the end product was excellent.

It is my second encounter with Fender Mender body shop and both are very pleasant. They are very professional and courteous. All the repairs were done as scheduled and of the highest quality. I was informed about the progress all the way. On the pick up day they were very helpful with my additional issues. The best body shop to make your car look like new again!Service: Body & Trim

Fender Mender took extra time after giving me a estimated time of being ready. I was told my car would be ready a week prior to this date. I call about picking it up and the car hadn't even been assembled or painted. I then receive a call a few days later saying the car is ready other than 1 bracket and I would be able to pick it up and bring it back. Upon arrival, the car still had not been painted or assembled. I wait until the following week and they say that it will be ready once again the next day, I call and no paint and is still disassembled. The day the part arrived, I received a call saying that the car would be ready by noon. I get to the shop at 2 and they say it still needs 3 hours more of work. When I arrived, the woman inside took an attitude up with me and was very unprofessional. On top of all of this, they quoted me an outrageous estimate over triple what the estimate that the insurance company provided me with. This is not my first time with Fender Mender and it has happened at 2 different shops. I would not recommend Fender Mender if you would like a fair price and accurate timing.Upon pickup the car was not assembled correctly either and I had to wait for them to take the car to the back and fix what was wronng.Services: Painting, General repairs & maintenance

I would 100% recommend Fender Mender. The staff is kind, amazing, and they genuinely care. My car was in the shop for a week last week, and the mechanic(s) working on my car worked overtime on it to have it ready for me. I was so impressed with the quality of work they had put into my car. I m pretty sure it looked better than when I got it from the dealership. I couldn t complain about anything if I tried!!

I sent my car to Fender Mender in West Ashley a month and a half ago for bodywork. While the quality of the work is good, the communication was absolutely atrocious. I had specifically requested an aftermarket hood be installed instead of the oem part, and had my insurance confirm and approve the change. Imagine my surprise when I arrived to find that Fender Mender had NOT installed the part I requested, but instead installed the oem part.I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied that my vehicle was not returned to me in the condition I had requested, especially after I confirmed with my insurance company that they had not changed the approval status of the alteration. No one at Fender Mender ever reached out to me about the change, nor did they send me pictures of my vehicle when I requested them, which would have allowed us to find this discrepancy early and correct it. Additionally, when I called Fender Mender and specifically requested to know if that part had come in, I was told that it had come in.I have had my insurance company reach out to this shop, and I would like Fender Mender to reach out to me regarding correcting this discrepancy as quickly as possible. At the end of the day, all I ask is that my car be returned to me in the condition I requested, with clear communication throughout the process.If I had to repeat this process, I would happily use a different body shop, even if it was more inconvenient for me, if it meant that I would receive clear communication and the repairs done as I request.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I used Fender Mender as they were the Geico Express recommended provider. My experience was very positive. It was easy to make the appointment, my service advisor was prompt and extremely knowledgeable and easy to understand. My car was beautifully repaired and delivered in the time frame and under estimate. I particularly would like to compliment the office staff - they were incredibly polite and helpful.Obviously, I hope I don't need Fender Menders again anytime soon, but if I do, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again!

Giving a star because while they fixed the exterior of my vehicle they missed fixing my back seat of my 4Runner and then when I brought it to their attention they told me it s my problem and I have to contact insurance about it. Then before I left they also let me know they don t do interiors of vehicles and I should go somewhere else for that even though they are a repair shop

I took my Ram truck in for a large dent repair. While there I had some aftermarket improvement products installed. Everyone was fantastic! Max and Tammy at the front office, Tom the shop manager, all of the technicians who worked hard on my truck and Jim the owner. A great experience all the way around. I bought my truck new in 2006, it now has over 300,000 miles and it looks brand new again! Thank you Fender Mender for a great job.

The staff at Fender Mender, Geico and Enterprise were excellent and got me in and out in less than 2 days and even upgraded my rental vehicle at no charge. They explained everything in a friendly and professional manner and made sure my car was neat and clean when it was returned to me. Looked brand new! Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

I had my car towed to their facility due to an accident. From day one of my car being dropped off, the staff were always polite and helpful. Every time I called, the young lady was attentive to my concerns. The guys in the back were the BEST! I had to clean out my car (due to it being totaled out) and he helped me clean it out! You can't ask for better service than that.In the past, I have had repair work from them. The work was done satisfactory. Their prices are reasonable also. You will love them!

I can't speak highly enough about this group. I'm always wary of attending a mechanic facility because they generally try to take advantage of my being a female with a very evident lack of vehicle knowledge. This team, however, took great care of me and my vehicle. The gentleman who led the efforts, I believe his name was Aaron, had incredible "bedside" manner. He was professional, put the vehicle issues in perspective, walked me through everything in a digestible manner, walked me through the insurance process easily, and made the process of my obtaining an Uber very easy. To top it off, they fixed my car in 1/4 of the time they expected. What a great group. I'm very thankful to have been told to go here and will be using them in the future.
