I am sorry for not posting sooner.Last year we ran over a larger piece of plastic on the road (unavoidable) which damaged the steering unit on our 2016 BMW 535d. After taking it to RH they wanted a number from heaven for a new steering rack. From a recommendation I called European Road Racing and spoke Karl and Sean. So wonderful to deal with people who are passionate and love cars. After diagnosing the issue that a new rack was needed (the servo motor is part of the rack), the price was far more reasonable and was accompanied by apologies that they couldn t do better. So refreshing to deal with a business you can trust.It s the only place I will recommend for European motors.Best Mark

These guys are the best! I brought my electric car here for servicing and they perfectly took care of me. Another day my tire went flat and they were able to work me in within an hour to get me out the door with a fixed tire, despite it being their lunch break! These guys go above and beyond and I would never take my car anywhere else. Highly recommend!

Aside from the knowledge, experience and attention to detail this shop provides a trait that stands out the most is their customer service. Whether you are a close friend, long time customer or first timer you will always be treated with the same level of hospitality.Coming from someone who s owned countless European platforms and encountered just about every problem with BMW you can imagine, if you want it done right the first time bring it to European Road and Racing.Karl, thank you for your service today. Would recommend European Road and Racing to anyone with a European car that needs service. If you have had a horrible dealership experience like me or you are skeptical about most auto shops, I can assure you that you WILL NOT have to worry about if your car is going to be serviced properly. They have taken great care of me on numerous occasions including fixing a broken shifter linkage in my BMW M2 Competition. Recently took my Lotus for some routine maintenance items to them and had a great experience. They were very informative on the work details, polite, passionate about the vehicles they service, and turn around was quick even with it being around the holidays. I will definitely be using them moving forward for any additional work needed on my car.

After getting completely burned by an import repair shop here in Myrtle Beach, a friend with a pair of very nice, vintage Ferrari s recommended Karl & Martin to me. Yes it is over 100 miles from here to N. Charleston but I d drive 3 times that distance for the opportunity to have these guys work on my car. Their knowledge and expertise is exactly what I needed to bring my 79 Porsche 928 barn-find with 24k miles back to life. It now drives like it just left the showroom...just 40 years later! These guys run a business like it should be run...no up-sales BS and fair pricing with a hyper- knowledgeable, service-minded staff. 5 stars sells them short in my opinion!Services: Painting, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Body & Trim, Auto detailing, Brakes

My 2011 335i was leaking coolant and I called ahead to arrange to bring my car in for a quick assessment of the extent of the repair that needed to be done. Owner Karl Troy did not want to risk putting me back on the road and offered to do the repair that day. He scheduled me within his very busy day rather than risk my safety. Talk about outstanding care and concern for your customer! Thank you Karl!We recently relocated to SC and were anxious to find the best facility we could for our car .we certainly did! Shawn and everyone else we came in contact with were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The shop also has some great memorabilia from Karl s career in racing.

What a great place to have service work done on your sports car , First let me say it starts with people that love what the do for a living !! Karl and his family at European Road & Racing are top notch and they know their stuff ! For Me It started the moment I met Ashley at the front desk very professional and knowledgeable and a big smile . Then I got to meet Karl's daughter ABBY who is hands on and loves cars so much you can tell right away she was very carful and proceeds with caution planning each process out in her mind to ensure a job gets well done ! My Mustang Twister Special was treated like it was their own car. I was recommended to European Road & Racing by a friend. They installed a new exhaust on my MK5 Supra and did a fantastic job. It sounds and looks superb. I honestly can t think of any other place that would have done as great of a job as European Road and Racing. I had the pleasure of speaking to the owner, Karl Troy, who is a great guy. I can certainly say European Road and Racing is very knowledgeable in what they do, without a doubt. I will definitely be back once I get some more performance parts in and even for some general maintenance on the car as well. Sean is a great dude; awesome customer service, super knowledgeable, and is passionate about his work. He did the alignment on my grc and it came out amazing; better than any other place it's been to. Recently spoke with the owner about a vehicle I am purchasing (not from them), and he took the time to speak with me about every question that I had. Super great guy, and will be using their shop for service in the future!You can tell how a business is run by the people at the top, and this place is certainly a phenomenal operation. Took my e90 m3 in for rod bearings, test pipes, and carbon fender vents to be done at this shop. I couldn't recommend the shop enough. They were easy going and professional all the way around. Techs took great care of the car and were super easy to work with. Also got to meet and talk to the owner Karl and he's probably the most humblest person I've met. 2016: Karl and his mechanics have been taking care of me and my 2011 Lotus Elise SC since it came over from England straight from the factory. When I first got it, I told Karl I wanted to do a bunch of modifications. He told me I would be better off learning to drive on track, first. He didn't just want to take my money. He was right. Over the years, we have done several well thought out modifications, including big brake kit, and a new racing transmission. They keep me track ready, and I have enjoyed over 30 track weekends across the Southeast. Karl can listen to the car as it drives into the garage and tell you that the gap in a spark plug is off. They really get it, they love the challenge.2018: I wanted to post an update. I have been bringing my track cars to Karl and Martin since 2011. I have graduated to club racing, and Martin has has been my go-to guy. I trust him with my life when I am racing wheel to wheel at 130 miles. Not only does he keep them running smoothly, he keeps them competitive. I took home 3rd in the 2017 NASA Eastern States Championships and 2nd in overall points in BMW CCA Southeast.Then the ice storm happened. I wrecked my wife's 2 week old 2018 Volvo XC90. Sure, I could have taken it to the dealer to have the work done, but I wanted it done right. Martin and Karl worked overtime, even coming in on the weekend, and got it back to me as good as new. It drives perfectly, is just as quiet as when it was off the showroom floor, and there is no evidence it has ever been in an accident. Thanks, guys!

These folks love cars. They have always been honest and have done work of outstanding quality. They'll take the time to thoroughly discuss your needs, and they will complete the work on time and at a fair quoted price. I'm glad I found this repair and performance shop.

Karl and the team are excellent. They are highly detail-oriented and knowledgeable of what is needed to not only repair your car but, more importantly, repair it correctly. They can also help you with any upgrades or tuning. They are a one-stop-shop for everything automotive

I am from Washington DC and my line 11 broke down last week and Karl was so nice enough to open the shop and take care of me with it a day and a half on a holiday weekend. I couldn t ask for anything better and guess what I made it home and everything is working great I have to say they re phenomenal. I wish they were in DC. I highly recommend this business! I recently had my Audi S5 serviced for a new clutch and some electrical issues. Sean and Abby were extremely responsive about updates and even worked after hours to get my girl running right. The car gave them one obstacle after another but they still delivered a beast back to me. She is running better than she ever has. I recently purchased a 2019 X5 and had a handful of cosmetic upgrades/enhancements that I elected to have done. I was referred to European Road & Racing by a friend and one of their longtime clients. My experience working with Karl and Sean Troy was excellent!!! They completed the work in a very timely manner and the upgrades look fantastic. I look forward to working with them again soon!!!

Karl and his team are absolutely amazing. This is a phenomenal place to go with people who truly love what they do.After BMW gave me a list of things wrong with my car, I immediately went to Karl and he inspected each thing and invited me into the garage to take a look with him. It turned out that nothing on their list actually needed to be replaced. His quotes for repair are significantly more affordable and they complete the work in a much more timely manner than I've experienced with any dealership. Any time I have an issue or hear a noise, they tell me to bring it in and they take a look right away. ERR is not only what I view as the best performance shop in the area but the most knowledgable, experienced, friendly racing experts I've worked with. They've done great work so far with the BMW I've taken to them. All the work is top notch. They are honest, do their research, get to know their customers and bring their knowledge of racing and street performance to their customer's requests. Sean has been beyond great to work with! Had my first experience with European Road & Racing today and it was phenomenal. I was referred to them by another local repair shop and I called to see if they'd be able to help. Someone quickly picked up the phone and said that I could bring my car by that very morning for them to take a peek at it to see if they could help. I brought it by and with a quick look they said they could service my car that very afternoon if I had time! They also told me how long the wait would be before I committed to coming back later that afternoon, which was incredibly thoughtful. I was so pleased by how quickly service was offered and that a price was stated right off the bat once they knew what the issue was, so there were no surprises in terms of charges either. After searching places to take my C7Z in to have my tires replaced, I am glad I took it here. Karl and his family and crew took the keys as soon as I came in the door and pulled it straight in to get the job done quickly. This is top-notch shop. The best I've worked with. It's a family-run business, and it shows. I worked with Sean and Karl, whose communication was fast, clear, and not at all pushy. They went above and beyond to help me with a unique situation, and I was floored by how kind and generous they were. The work they recommended for my 2005 BMW M3 (convertible, SMG) was thoroughly explained, and the digital system they have for actually endorsing that work is very easy to use.
