My husband took his jeep here to get his radio fixed after another mechanic broke it ( ). Super smooth process with excellent customer service all around.It had POURED the night before we picked up his jeep and we had mentally prepared for it to be soaked since he left the doors off. We knew this shop deserved a 5 star review when we pulled up and saw they had put the doors on that they found in the backseat!

Hi my name is Mitch karvin the owner of karvin van lines I stoped at customer care stereo in Charleston South Carolina needed a fuse for my amp. AJ was nice enough to help me out with 100 amp fuse he not only gave me one but he gave me two when I asked him what I owed him he said merry Christmas and safe travels. I have no words strong enough to say how nice this guy is and what a beautiful operation they have here in Charleston South Carolina, I would highly recommend anybody that needs anything if you re in this area or you live here to stop at this place one of the best I ve ever been in.

I almost made a bad choice to go somewhere else and ended up here just trying to buy a part I needed. I called ahead of time and spoke to AJ and he was fantastic! Great energy very knowledgeable and helpful as far as getting the same service I got back in my home town. I got in same day for an install and that s unheard of! I just want to say that the entire staff and team here was truly amazing to the point that my spouses vehicle is going in on Thursday to get a stereo system installed. They have definitely earned me as a lifelong customer! Thank you!

Purchased a whole boat stereo system in 2023. Head unit, 6 speakers, sub and amp. On Saturday 3/30 the T-top speakers would not work. I called Custom Car at 3:00pm and explained the situation. They asked me to bring the boat in before they closed. I arrived at 3:30pm and they corrected the issue in 10 minutes. Custom Car Stereo not only delivered on the initial installation, they truly delivered legendary customer service.

The only shop in Charleston that can touch my ride. They did an excellent job on tinting my Miata with Llumar Air80. Still crystal clear even after 5 years! Keeps the sun off the custom dashboard I have.

If I can give this place a six star review, I definitely would, all fair prices in the staff is super nice with a good efficiency, demeanor to them. AJ, in particular was a very good spokesperson and a good man to relate with.

Many years ago, I purchased a Pioneer radio and speaker for my Mazda, and I have been very happy with the system. Last year, the volume knob fell off, and my brother tried to fix it with superglue, only to lock up the volume control completely. I brought in the remote control, which needed a new battery, and AJ hooked me up. Great customer service!

I brought my 2009 Hyundai Genesis in to get the sound system fixed. I had some blown speakers.It is an older vehicle, but I've had it for 10 years and with 187K miles it is my favorite vehicle. I worked with Bryan. He was nice and helpful. He suggested I buy the Focal 165AS3 speakers and said I could get a Bluetooth adapter (I couldn't get the head unit replaced in the car). So I bought the speakers and Bluetooth adapter, and with labor it was $1722. I initially did not like the sound at all -- but I noticed that the equalizer had been turned all the way down for treble, bass, and mid. Once I adjusted that, it sounded better, not fantastic.The subwoofer sounded really bad, so I opted to replace that during a 2nd visit. The original quote was around $400, but the replacement subwoofer didn't sound good (they did tell me this over the phone), so they convinced me to buy the JLACP110LG-TW1 10 inch sub. It sounds great! When I picked up the car this time, I noticed some workmanship things that needed fixing -- the backseat needed to be pushed back more, and some plastic panels underneath the driver controls needed to be popped back in. I mentioned this, and they took it back and fixed it immediately. This sub work ended up costing $1295.Lastly, I noticed that the speakers were very harsh when playing the highs of rock/metal music -- my ears would ache when playing music at high volumes. I went in for a 3rd time and worked with Bryan to swap out the tweeters in the Focal kit I bought from them in favor of a cheaper Rockford tweeter T1TS. It sounds much better now. This work was $317. It was a little disappointing that I had to swap out tweeters from the kit that I had just bought, but I'm glad it was improved. It's not perfect, but Bryan explained that I'd need a new Equalizer to get it sounding how I want it to.Ultimately, they worked with me and my sound is better than before. I really like the Bluetooth connectivity that I now have.I'm not in love with my system though, especially since it was $3335 total. But it is a marked improvement. Perhaps my expectations were unreasonable -- I had planned on spending $1300 before I had any work done.

I was experiencing issues with some distorted bass sounds in my car. Had a car audio. Recommend a subwoofer for replacement and when installed the sound quality was nothing like I was expecting me. Met AJ at Custom Car Stereo and told him about my situation. He and an associate took a look at my old subwoofer and actually made repairs they saw necessary. Reinstalled the old sub and now it sounds fantastic again!

I had a very pleasurable experience with AJ. He actually sold me on using this shop while I was researching different locations and products. I wanted to get the top of the line tint but more importantly heat reduction. Even though I could get a darker look with Xpel products and better deals else where, AJ brought up the points of, the features of the shop and techniques that his people used. I actually asked other locations their practices of applying the tint itself. AJ made sure I understood the quality of application and the process that these guys go through at custom car stereo was better and more efficient then what the other guys admitted they would do. I went with the Stratos series due to the high end specs I was looking for. The car looks so good now. I've only had it 2 weeks and already have had a few comments on it.

AJ Harley is an expert at tuning your car system. Hands down I wish I had him do my car stereo from the start, well you live and you learn. When it's time for an upgrade I know AJ Harley will have my system sounding excellent!!

From owner Steve Cramer, to AJ in sales and all the technicians that worked on my project I couldn t be more pleased. I was treated like family. I had a full system giving me problems and it was time for some upgrades. I was given options, good advice, and not pushed for things I didn t need. Quality I stall and professionally done. I cannot speak highly enough about this business or the people there!!

Both my front speakers were blown and my back speakers rattled and needed to be replaced. They installed me new speakers and it turned out great. Pretty happy with my new speakers and enjoying my music!

Your expectations will be exceeded. If you want to know who the best is, this is it. The team at CCS pulled off what I can only describe as impossible. I purchased a 2017 Yamaha 242 LTD S a couple weeks ago and needed to have tower speakers and a 10" sub installed. The boat dealer built in the installed price into the contract so I had already "pre-paid" for this install. I was originally sent to Dealer Electronic Services (DES) but was really disappointed in their customer service. I was told that they didn't have time, that they could get to it the following week (mind you after being told they were ready), and that they had received no direction from the boat dealer. All of this was unacceptable, but I told them ok. Thursday of that week (two days later), I receive a call from DES that I needed to pick my boat up because they were leaving early both Thurs and Fri. Interesting since they HAD WORK TO DO. Nevertheless, I informed my boat dealer and they were just as upset. My dealer picked up the boat and took it to CCS (on Friday). I met with Nick Friday afternoon and walked around the boat and showed him where I'd like everything to go. He wasn't optimistic that they would be done with the whole project, but guaranteed that I would have my boat back Saturday so I could hit the water. I get a call Saturday afternoon with fantastic news - the install went so well that they would be finished by 16:00 that day. WHAT?! ONE DAY NOTICE and they complete the whole job?! How is this possible...? Well, I get down there to pick it up and it blew my mind how good everything looked and sounded. They paid attention to every slight detail. The locations turned out perfect and their cable management was excellent. They performed a demo for me and made sure everything was just as clean as when it arrived. I was also pleasantly surprised that they only charged about 60% of what the dealer expected, so I'm receiving a nice little refund as well.Now that this phase of the audio upgrade is complete and the impossible was pulled off, my boat dealer has severed ties to DES and will be sending their work to CCS from now on. Very good call - spending $68k on a boat with a few grand in audio to be treated like a 2nd class citizen will quickly run patience thin.CCS is now doing the tint job for the boat and I'm excited to have that project completed. I'll update after it's complete.Extra compliments to Nick - He has treated this project and me as a priority 1 issue and resolved it to the best of anyone's ability. I'm thoroughly impressed and will only consider recommending my friends, family, and colleagues to see him at CCS.

I went in , not to spend lots of $$$, but because a cd was stuck in my older system. Didn t matter! AJ treated me with respect and fixed my problem at no cost! When I do decide to step into this decade, it ll be with Custom Car Stereo. Thanks again AJ!!!

These guys are here to help. Went to pick up a relay for a head unit was installing myself. Brought it back home and had hooked up a wire wrong. Called AJ at the desk and he said to swing by and they will show me some love. Had it fixed in no time and at no charge. Most other audio shops would tell you schedule an appointment, we don t work on systems we didn t install, etc. not Custom Car Stereo! They are friendly and willing to help out where they can. Highly recommend

I wanted to jump on here and say thank you to custom car stereo for fixing their mess up with me. The original experience is why I can t give the full 5 stars. I wrote a very honest review a few weeks back about a not so good experience I was having with one particular employee. It earned them a well deserved 1 star review. Since then the GM has contacted me and made it right. He got my radio fixed and reinstalled promptly upon learning about what happened. I currently have my radio back in my car. I am one week in and I am not having any problems with it. It is working great! Ya know, people mess up sometimes and sometimes it s just a personality conflict. This very well may have been the case in my experience or better yet it think it was a solid combination of those two things. Once I was contacted by Steve, the general manager, my experience with them did a 180. It s good when a business can own their mistake, apologize and do the right thing. Trust that custom car stereo is one of the good ones. If you have a bad experience with them please make your way to the general manager, he will get the problem resolved. Thanks again guys, it s nice not to be driving around listening to a 8 year old hand held Bluetooth speaker, looking at a hole in my dash, mad at y all. The touchscreen is back and working better than ever! If I can find a picture of my 1st review I ll post it below but I may have deleted it prematurely once Steve got me fixed up.

My first experience with Custom Car Stereo. Bryan couldn t have done a better job in assisting and facilitating my install. The whole team did a great job, Chase was very competent, courteous, and communicative. AJ did a great job explaining the install and manning the front desk. I would and already have recommended CCS to my friends and anyone looking to make an upgrade.

I just had Custom Car Stereo do a Stereo install on my Jeep Wrangler. They did an amazing job!! The sound quality blows me away! The install looks so professional. 2 Years Later and another great experience:I got a new car and took it back to Custom Car Stereo for an upgrade and they took care of me every step of the way. The whole crew was so accommodating and professional and they really know their stuff. If you have a unique car or requirements, the guys at CCS can handle it.Bryan and his team were awesome. I had a friend install a head unit and sub in my car and he completely botched the job. Bryan and his team cleaned it all up, upsold me delicately on a better setup and nailed the install. Bryan was more a consultant than a salesman every step of the way. I would definitely recommend working with Bryan and Custom Car Stereo to anyone.

AJ and Tyler were great! I thought there was going to be water damage to my speaker, and AJ figured it out and fixed it right away. Tyler noticed I had a flat, filled it up and sent me to the closest tire shop. Highly recommend this place and will be coming back!
