Darryl and his team did a great job taking care of my daughter s car. She is in Charleston going to school and is a long ways from home. It is great knowing that we have an honest and reliable mechanic available if she ever has issues with her car. The repair/response time was super quick! Highly recommended!!!

I am a repeat customer at CIA because I trust their work ethic and integrity. I drop my car off with a list of work to be done and Darryl takes care of the rest. Because CIA does such good work, they are usually booked a month or two out. So, unless it's an emergency, plan your repair work with them. However, once they start working on the car, it gets finished in a reasonable amount of time, if parts are available and depth of work to be done doesn't require a major rebuild.If you drive an old "foreign" car and want to keep it on the road, CIA is the place to go... I use the term "foreign" with tongue-in-cheek because every other car on the road today was made by some non-American manufacturer.Services: Auto exhaust system repair, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Brakes

I m apprehensive about leaving this review, in that it shouldn t be seen as a personal attack. Bryan, Darryl and the entire staff at this shop are friendly and respectful. However, the condition of my car upon picking it up was deplorable. Absolutely unacceptable and terrible. Dropped off pristine and now? It s going to take me an entire weekend to get it back to its previous condition. Filthy and damaged cosmetically. Just not the way it should be returned to the customer. No exaggeration. Just terrible both interior and exterior. Indescribable actually. I m so disappointed. At least clean it up allotted bit. Sorry but it s the truth.

Charleston Imports is an amazing place to visit! They were able to schedule me in to get my 2022 Range Rover Sport serviced and were also able to return my car to me in the same day. Not only were they time efficient, they also explained things at a level that made sense to someone who doesn't know a lot of information about cars. They were extremely personable and helpful that my family from Georgia is now going to use their business for their Range Rover needs instead of going to the dealership. His online system for communicating issues with the car and providing cost quotes made the decision making process a breeze.I wouldn t hesitate to make the hour and a half trip to Charleston to have him and his techs work on my vintage Jag. Darryl is the most knowledgeable person (about English) cars that I have ever known. He corrected a lot of problems on my recent purchased Rolls Royce. I could not believe the difference in the ride and handling of the Rolls after he completed the work. The performance and ride of the car is as different as Night is to Day.I will defiantly will us Charleston Import Automotive for all my future needs on my car. Even if it is 220 miles from Greenville to Charleston.You cannot go wrong with Darryl and his team if you are having problems with any brand of English Motor cars/Service: General repairs & maintenance

Great place. These guys "worked me in" to do one thing, and they ended up doing so much more. They told me all the items that were problems and which ones I needed to address first. This was my first time here and it sure won't be my last.

I found Charleston Import Automotive to be professional, knowledgeable and customer friendly. Although the time my MGB was in the shop was longer than I anticipated, I am very pleased with the service and expertise I experienced at their shop. When was researching my 2000 Land Rover Discovery, I saw that I would need a specialist for maintenance, repairs and guidance. Darryl has filled that bill. His excellent communication, super detailed diagnostics and reasonable pricing made my first visit a pleasure. Completed standard maintenance quickly while I waited (2001 Jaguar XK8) Very friendly and courteous.Performed courtesy vehicle inspection and shared areas that will require repair in the future. Didn t pressure me to have maintenance done now that could safely wait until later.They have great expertise in repairing and maintaining British cars. I was getting ready to ship my car from Charleston to Orlando and it wouldn't start. I was leaving town and had heard of this company via AlfaBB.Had the car towed in and asked them to evaluate the situation and give me a call.The car had a full review and they presented a list of repairs/solutions, etc.Prices were reasonable and communication was first class.All of this was done remotely - cell phone and email.This is a first class shop and the service managers, techs are very professional. I worked with Darryl and he was a real help to make sure that the repairs were performed correctly and completely. Updates, pictures, etc were all provided as work progressed.They even assisted getting the car shipped with no issues.I can't recommend this shop enough.Also, I can't wait until the next time I am in town to thank them personally!Charleston Import Automotive, thank you for helping me out and being such a great shop and resource.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

I was extremely fortunate to have found this shop. It came highly recommended by another car shop that does not work on Jaguars, and I m forever grateful. Darryl was knowledgeable and professional. Within a day, the problem was successfully diagnosed and repaired in days for a price that was thousands of dollars less than I was quoted elsewhere! I needed a battery replacement on my Aston Martin DB9. No dealer in town and didn't want to transport it to Charlotte or Atlanta for a battery. I called Charleston Imports and Darryl immediately made me comfortable that they could handle it. He knew the car, knew what was needed, and could make time for me almost immediately. Darrell (the owner) and Bob are great guys and really know their stuff. It s so refreshing to find true mechanics who can actually fix things instead of a lot of today s Techs who just know what the computer tells them. I believe these guys could fix your car with their eyes closed that s how experienced they are! 30+ years of expertise In British automobiles is apparent. My Aston Martin Db11 had a dead battery and was locked. The car is 100 percent dependent on the battery. (to open and to shift to neutral to tow) Needed a slim key and took 6 weeks to get here from england (had to order from the dealer the car was purchased) to get into the cabin to remove rear seat and unable to move front seat foward for room because its electric. Darryl took alot of his time and talked me through the process to get it operational to get the car to him for a battery replacement. Very very knowledgeable! so glad I found him!Services: Electrical, Battery

Timely service with fair pricing. Loved that everything was done digitally and can keep my documents in Dropbox.

This was the second time that I have used Charleston Import Automotive. I had some extensive work done on my 1968 MGB GT and when I drove it home up I 26 it ran great and I even passed a few cars. It took a while but the wait was worth it. Charleston Imports always goes above and beyond my expectations. During an unexpected breakdown, I had my car towed there, and I got her back the NEXT DAY good as new! They fixed the issue and corrected other problems that they noticed. Their work and service is impeccable, and they have high quality, caring, professional staff. I need to have my car repaired badly. I had an appointment with another shop and went to them by mistake. I was given a courtesy diagnostic. They ordered my parts and said it was come at 12 and my car would have been finished by 3 pm. They were exact and on time. They had my car finished and the cost of the repair was reasonable. Thank you for doing my vehicle at the last minute!!!
