Made an appointment for the morning at 10am. My technician was Bernard. Despite being short staffed and Bernard being the only one there today, he got my car done in good time and everything was fairly priced. They were super busy, but he kept a smile and kept communicating with me on what was going on with my car. I appreciate the great service and recommend this place! And I will definitely be referring people. Thanks again Bernard!

Kristen the manager is great! I feel that I was given accurate and conservative information. I proceeded with the work it took longer than expected, but Kristen jumped into action to expedite my service. I left happy, and I do not feel like they ever tried to take advantage of me excellent team!

2/21/2024 - 4 hours for rear brakes. 4 HOURS!!! - Price was same as anywhere else. Don't believe the advertising, you will wait. What REALLY irked us was the reckless way our car was driven out of the bay and into the parking space once the job was finally complete. Skinny, African American employee blasted out of the garage and into a parking space so fast that the tires squealed. Thank god he did not hit anyone or anything. Totally unacceptable! Employee description is intentional in the hopes the employee gets spoken to. Ridiculous.

Kristin is an amazing manager! She was friendly, professional and went above and beyond for me. Everyone there was very friendly and you can tell that they enjoy their jobs because they were all smiling! I will definitely be a return customer!!

Do not believe the TV ads and signs about getting your keys to them by 4:30. I was told at 2 pm they couldn't help me. This was after waiting at the counter for literally 10 minutes for anyone to even speak to me. When the female employee did put her vape down to talk to me, it was as if she was annoyed I was there.

I came in with AWFUL brakes and a major sticking + grinding issues and Kristen worked with me to find the best possible solution within a budget. She let me see the old brakes and outlined exactly where work needed to be done. Scheduled on a 12 hour notice and got it back same day.

Great experience. Called the same day and was able to get in. Dropped it off and came back 2 hours later to the car ready to go. Honest evaluations and not trying to oversell.

BEWARE - RIP OFF ALERT!!!The package they advertise is not what you get. Rear brakes only cost almost $500. They charged $300 for two rear drums that are $37 each at all auto parts stores. They quoted almost $900 to do a 2015 jeep patriot with simple brakes. Next time going to Gerald s in Charleston!

Do not fall for the "you'll be out in 2 hours scam". I sat there for almost 3 hours and my Jeep never left the parking lot. When I asked how many more hours I'd be sitting there, they decided that would be a good time to go out and look at my Jeep. After looking, they told me that my Jeep wouldn't "fit" on the lift. Which is a lie the Jeep has been on a standard lift before.. the lady told me that the could get me in after a van that had been sitting there the entire time but they were only "half way through" with that. I asked for my keys back and left. Such a waste of time. I think there's a combination of about 3 brain cells running that shop. The lady at the front is beyond useless.

Kristin at the front was so helpful!!! Despite going to Gerald s before and them telling me there s nothing else we can do, we don t know how to fix this Kristin and the team were able to fix my terrible screeching brake noises with no problem!! Thanks so much!

Their main job are Brakes! All I got was pads and shoes no hardware and no brake lube or brake fluid exchange. The package I bought was new hardware, ceramic pads and shoes, New hardware, slider pin and bolts. Brake fluid exchange resurface rotors and drums. They put the front tires back on and the rotors weren't even resurfaced that was my one red flag so I started questioning the manager why they didn't resurface the rotors then she told the employees They complained that will be more work they started throwing parts around acting like the customer was wrong with the service she purchased. The store is ripping people off! Customer service was no help. This company does not know the proper technical skill to do brakes. The main job is to do it right the first time so you don't have any repair returns.I had to go back the following Thursday because my hardware shifted and the pad was making a grinding noise so they reshifted the hardware that held the brake pad on. I added pictures the company didn't even remove the old brake dust... which can cause more corrosion and collect around the brake hydraulic parts causing them to fail. Great parts exchanger..

Had a great experience and appreciate how Kristen took her time explaining what needed to be done and was very honest about the service I needed. I was able to schedule an appointment, and they had my truck ready within the 2.5 hour window. They also send you a txt when your vehicle is ready, which is brilliant! I just want to acknowledge the team at this location. As someone is has little to no knowledge about brakes they were very pleasant, patient, and helpful throughout my entire experience. I also genuinely appreciate their honesty and making me feel like I was only being offered what my car actually needed not what would make the company the most money.I will def be recommending this Brakes 4 Less location to all of my friends and family.Service: Brake service & repair

Super transparent and friendly staff. I don t know anything at all about cars or brakes, but I felt really comfortable trusting the people here to help me make decisions on the best balance between necessity and budget. Highly recommend for reasonable prices and excellent service :) Kristin is the best

HONEST, polite and reasonably priced.First we took our car to Midas (also on Sam Rittenberg) and they tried to screw us. Having dealt with unethical car shops in the past, I could tell the Midas guy was lying about what needed to be done.So then we took our car to Breaks-4-Less and they were strait shooters - saved me over $500! I had a 8am appointment. Still waiting on them to open. It is 8.20 still not open. Not very happy. They should have notified the customers that they were going to be not opening at 8:00. They should give the employees a key to get in I did not get into almost 9:00 One of the girls was here at the same time I was it's not fair to her she couldn't get in to start working on my car.

I m new to Charleston and was completely unprepared for an auto bill. So, I was pleasantly surprised at how efficient, affordable and timely it was to have my brake service performed at Brakes4Less. Got new brakes and something wasn't done right because I was hearing a rubbing/grinding sound a few weeks later. The shop was very polite accommodating when I called. Brakes 4 less ? More like multiple breaks to the same shop who can t do their job right THE FIRST TIME. This place is a joke. The lady at the front counter didn t even know what she was talking about and tried ripping us off of our money like we had mechanical issues when we only came in for maintenance repairs. We own a 2021 mazda cx-5 and the mechanic refused to give us the initial price($199) simply because it s hard finding 2021 brakes for that car & then laughed and said there were a lot more issues with our car having only driven it for ten seconds into the bay - & then couldn t even tell us what was wrong with it. They tried up charging us for rotors when we didn t even need them. Our car is still fairly new-don t waste your time here. This place is a ripoff

Great customer service is alive and well at this location. Diane was truly a professional and most importantly, she was authentically nice!!! I truly appreciated that from her. The staff is just as great as her. My vehicle was diagnosed and repaired PROPERLY in about two hours at a very reasonable price. Keep up the great work!!!!!! I will definitely be back for any future repair needs. God bless

01/18/2023 , Drove to brakes 4 less West Ashley in Charleston SC. Was told I needed everything on my brakes. Bill came to 2,526.28. Brakes not fixed. They gave me a 10% discount because they could not fix my brakes. I had my truck towed to another garage where my brakes were fixed. Called corporate headquarters for some bill reduction. They said send a copy of my new invoice, which I did. Never heard back. Very bad business. I will never go there again.Services: Brakes, Brake service & repair
