I've brought my car/cars to the shop for years and just the other day i called for a oil change and was told not to bring it back. The reason for that was my car was having trouble and I drop it off to find out instead of one or two days it being there I was told 4 or 5 days. They ran all kinds of text on it and never find out what was wrong with it. I figured it out water in the tank, never crossed there minds. Charged 65.00 for test on it and never figured it out.said it could be a blowed head gasket,well I know if that's the case it would have been running hot. Brad didn't tell me not to bring it back mat did, so with Brad being the owner why he couldn't tell me himself I don't know. I'm not worried about taken it to them anymore, there are plenty of other places that hasbeen in business alot longer. Good luck!

Brad and his crew are the most knowledgeable and professional automotive repair shop in Chapin.....and probably the greater Colombia area. North Lake Automotive has an extensive array of tools to tackle any type of auto repair as well as routine maintenance. The inside of the repair shop is pristine, like an operating room in a hospital. The prices are fair (much lower than a new car dealer) and the turnaround time is excellent. Matthew at the front desk keeps you informed on the status of your repair and takes the time to fully explain your repair estimate and final bill. Brad, the owner, is a wealth of information and oversees every single repair that comes into the shop. He is truly a "hands-on" owner / operator, something you don't see too often in a top quality, professional repair shop. When you want your car fixed properly, bring it to North Lake Automotive and rest easy that the job is getting done the right way.

My family and I have been using North Lake Automotive with Brad & Matt for years now. Not sure why it s taken this long for me to add a review. You won t find a better automotive shop around these guys are extremely hard working, friendly, honest, & fair priced! Give them a try, you ll be happy you did! Thanks guys!

Hands down the best auto repair shop in town. It's never good to have car problems, but I always enjoy going to North Lake and talking to Brad and Matt when it happens. What an amazing place. We broke down in Columbia and couldn't get our vehicle back to the Upstate. A friend recommended Brad and Northlake. Everyone there was so wonderful. When it became obvious that we were not going to be able to repair our van, they helped me find options to sell it there. Everyone was kind and friendly and we would use them again if we lived in the area. I can't say enough about these wonderful people. Brad and his team always go above and beyond. They listen to their customer's and do everything they can to accommodate them. They care about their customer's wallet and only perform services that are actually needed. These guys are really good AND honest. Several times they could have up sold me and made a ton more money but they are playing a long game. They know if they treat the customer fairly and honestly they will have a customer for life. As a matter of fact I am dropping off my wife s car in the morning for tires.

Tim , Brad, and the whole team there are great. They do all my normal auto stuff but also did a great job modifying my F-150 with new wheels, tires, grille, light bar, etc. Looks like a whole new truck. Great guys and very good at what they do. Highly recommend

Tim is great to work with. He's honest about what needs to be done, and he does it right. I first brought my truck in a while back for a second opinion on a major repair. He was upfront about what needed to be done vs listing everything an older truck "could use". My go to shop for all our vehicles now. I highly recommend this shop. Tim and Brad have been a God-send with both our Subaru Legacy and our Buick Enclave. They have saved us money since we left the dealerships and found them! As a female it's hard to find a mechanic/repair place that you can trust. I trust them with my daughter's vehicle and mine. They have never steered us wrong!

This is my go to place. Reliable and friendly, and always on point. This is a business of integrity. It is comforting to have a mechanic I can rely upon in a pinch. And of course, for my routine stuff like oil changes.If you haven t tried them, then now it is time.

Tim is seriously THE MAN! I had a very specific issue that required a specific tool and most shops either didn't have the tool, wasn't willing to do it, or wanted to charge an arm and leg to do it. I came in, he fixed my issue within minutes and even checked with me to make sure it was satisfactory. It was done perfectly and it was exactly what I needed. Thank you Tim!

Brad was rude and didn't want to look at my brakes when he already was looking at my engine problem. He told me I could go somewhere else, so I did. I went to Elledge Auto in Chapin and I loved it!

Best service around. I can always trust they are being honest with me. I will gladly pay a little more for their quality service than save a buck for others that may cut corners. In fact I find that they are very competitive and often cheaper. I just wish they would work on my boat!

I paid a lot of money to get my air conditioning fixed in my car, the first time I turned the heat/defrost on this morning, now the A/C is blowing hot air again. Will not recommend to anyone.

Pinched a wiring harness during timing belt replacement and dealer caught it. Upon showing them they denied responsibility. $700 later it s fixed correctly by the dealer.
