Updating my previous review. These people sold me a 6.7 powerstroke engine from a cab fire truck and pressure washed/acid washed all the char off. Heads were horribly warped. Sold as a good compression longblock. When we started to disassemble it was found that the aluminum had been weakened to the point that all the threads were coming out with any removed bolts. Gave me the run around about any warranty or reimbursement until the 90 day mark and promptly switched to "out of warranty, sorry." NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE LARGER THAN A WINDOW SWITCH. THEY WILL SCREW YOU.

I'll be honest. When I seen the reviews, I just about continued my search. BUT.... I'm glad I didn't, over the phone this young lady sounds rude I do admit that. But after being in the office and hearing what she was saying and seeing her reaction. She really isn't being rude. Lol. I think most people think she doesn't have car knowledge or something. But she convinced me and reassured me that she had the correct part in working order on there lot. Something that means a lot when u drive 10 hours round trip like I did. So don't judge a book by its cover, is how I would put it. If I need another part for my truck, she will be the 1st person I call.

I'm sorry everybody has a had bad experience but mine was great. Daneille is trying to run a junk yard for goodness sake. My part was in great shape and nothing was cut cause she made sure of it. I will be back..The fire set them back a lot so be patience

STAY FAR AWAY! Reselling motors with known issues and then offering fake replacements!Similar to other reviews, I had an awful experience with this company. Originally called for a Cummins engine (which they've now relisted since it's return) which was 10k$, it turned about to be 11k$ plug a core charge which wasn't listed. I went ahead and tried to proceed, gave them my information and was told I'd be sent some paperwork to fill out shortly. About 4 days goes by and I'd heard nothing, called back and they couldn't remember who I was. Went through the process, was finally sent all the paperwork regarding a warranty to which I promptly sent it back. Waited about 4 days, heard nothing. Called again, "Oh we just got it"? How? It was sent via email. Was told it'd take time to pull the motor, a few days at best. Week went by, called, nobody knew who I was or had seen my paperwork. Called the following day, same runaround. Called for a third time "Oh your motor was just pulled yesterday. We'll sent your the final amount shortly to pay." Two days later, reached out, "Still waiting to pull the motor" huh?? Another day goes by "Please pay us", paid same day "Your motor will ship tomorrow!" Another three days goes by, I'd call, leave messages and nobody would return them. Fourth day I reached out "Your motor is shipping tomorrow" even when I'd be told nearly a week ago the same. Two days later I get a phone call from the shipping company my motor was being delivered the next day. Once again, nothing from CarGuts. Motor showed up looking like the below... it'd clearly been pulled long ago and had been sitting open to the elements. The EGR was wide open, a puddle of water inside. There was rust water leaking from the exhaust, coolant feed for the radiator, and contaminates in the intake. Everything was completely rusted, bolts snapped and sheared, really lovely for 11k$. Attempted to spin the motor, got about half way and it locked up. Could spin it back and it'd get locked at the same point. Took it off the pallet to see the oil pan was crushed. Local mechanic wanted to remove the head to inspect the damage and CarGuts required this to be requested per their warranty. Reached how and Danielle who I had last dealt with became extremely defensive, swearing over the phone that my mechanic was "full of it" and "didn't know what they were doing" threatening to void the warranty if we even attempted it. So I sent it back after much arguing. Took well over a month to receive a refund after they declined the first return shipment, then after they received the motor in person they claimed I never sent it back. Called multiple times and was left with no response until I expressed I'd be involving an attorney. Took another two weeks for them to finally mail out a check, only to receive 75% of the motor's price due to "restocking" (a bad motor at that) and they kept all of the shipping, including the time they declined it.Absolutely awful experience, stray FAR away!Service: Part finding & extracting

All their engines are 100-110k miles conveniently. Got 1 with low compression and the replacement lasted 4 months. Dont waste your time with their lies or worn out engines.

Awful people. The lady cussed a lot. I wouldn t buy anything from them. I ve never heard more GD s and while I was on hold she told a Hispanic person that she doesn t have fing Rosetta Stone to understand him and she won t waste time doing it. Super unprofessional and racist.

I wanted to say that everyone was being dramatic or were just sour grapes, but I can confirm that they are indeed as bad as everyone says they are...even if they say they have a part, you can't get any information on confirming they actually do.Just get your part somewhere else, it's worth whatever the distance and/or additional time/cost.

No wonder they have 2 stars out of 5. They need to get whoever answers their phones away from them. Maybe she is too stressed with her job or needs a break but she should not be talking to the customers. She has 0 patience and got nothing accomplished.

Very rude,very hateful. Called 2 days on advance. My wife, daughter and I Drove almost 2 hours one way. Waited 30 minutes just for lady to tell me it was damaged. No apologies. I listened to her belittle customers over the phone while I waited. Made me feel like I was waisting her time. I have been buying parts for 25 years and this is the worst place I have ever encountered. I don't know who owns this place but they need to replace the lady in front with someone who has people skills.Services: Vehicle recycling, Part finding & extracting

Lied about condition of engine then got a major attitude when it became evident. Held me up for almost a month waiting , wouldn t prove mileage, wouldn t respond to messages or phone calls. Honestly believe they were going to sell me a junk motor under false pretenses. Highly recommend avoiding this business. Wish I could give less than one starService: Part finding & extracting

I usually don t leave reviews but this experience was so bad that I made a promise to myself that I will let people know about the establishment and how they are very unprofessional when it comes to dealing with customers specially Danielle . The experience to started with me talking to Kathy about buying an engine for a 2015 Mitsubishi evolution engine had 8000 miles on it and she told me that it read perfect I did all the proper paperwork for charging my credit card and I talk to her twice and she said that they are working on pulling the engine out of the car and after waiting for five weeks a call and she tells me that the engine is not available anymore and then lets me talk to Danielle which she went off on the phone and started yelling and swearing. I m happy I didn t end up buying that engine because I wouldn t be able to trust the shop or this establishment to spend $4800 on the engine. I recommend no one use these people they are highly unprofessional. They lie and say they don't get packages when they did and they also will refund you then cancel it right after. I felt compelled to share my good experience with Carguts. I ordered a power heated mirror from them for a Chevy Silverado to be shipped to me. After ordering at a fair price I checked the reviews since I thought to myself I don t know this company. Can I trust them? After reading reviews, I got a little worried. The next day my part showed up on UPS as promised. It was the right part in good shape. I have no complaints.Service: Part finding & extracting

Tried to order parts from them twice, waited both times for the parts to ship, both times they told me they were lost or didn't have them to cancel the order, just to see they re-list the items for more money because they must of had them listed to cheap. Very poor business practice & advertising, I can see why they have such good reviews. Definitely do not recommend using them. Wish I could give 0 stars

Friendly, Fast Service. Differential and Calipers I purchased was as described and a very reasonable price. They included the control arms at no additional cost. They call and said my parts are ready hours early that was the only good thing. After a two hour drive I got there and they gave me disassembled parts and when I asked about them they said that they just throw them out and instead of helping me they said ( for 35 dollars they can just throw them out and not sell it to me) the only part I got had been messed up and had to take parts for old one and make it work. I will not recommend them to any one

Called to get price/availability on something that was listed online for the business that I work for in Columbia SC a few months ago... The lady that answered the phone was belligerent, hostile and just completely unprofessional for the entirety of the 2 min call, before she abruptly hung up on me. She literally answered the phone, "CARGUTS!" And not in a friendly or enthusiastic kind of way. After reading some other reviews, I'm sure it was the lady called danielle. I'm not sure why she is so unhinged (a drug test may be in order), but I will never do business with carguts and it's no wonder they have such bad (and completely accurate) reviews. I can't even believe that this is a legitimate business. I'm completely convinced that any good reviews they have must be from family or employees. But, I will consider this a bullet dodged.

Purchased a shifter assembly from this company several years ago, refused to give me my money back, so my business was stuck with it! Attempted to give them another chance, purchased a transmission and it was bad. Attempted for three days to get the manager to contact us back and finally called and my husband spoke w/ a very rude individual. Drove the 1 1/2 hours back to return the transmission only to be rudely greeted. Finally gave our money back, but it was probably only because we went in person. DONE! Will never purchase from them again and wish I had read the negative customer service reviews prior to purchasing anything again.

This place is, in a word, terrible. I've had to call 5 times in an attempt to order one part. They said they had it and would ship it. It never arrived. Never received a call. Called back again after a week and a half. They said they didn't have it but they could get it from somewhere local and would ship it out. Never received it AGAIN. Never heard anything AGAIN. Called back AGAIN after another two weeks. Was told they would look into it and call me back within the hour. Called back AGAIN 2 hours later. Spoke to someone who then told me she would email a tracking number to me despite the fact that I haven't received it. When I attempted to emphasize the importance of getting this taken care of as soon as possible, I was hung up on. After calling back, I was told no tracking was available because they were unable to contact the place they ordered the item from. I called back today for another status update and in retaliation for this factual review, I was hung up on after being told they would not ship the part they had already claimed to have shipped. There was not one single attempt to correct any part of this disaster of a transaction.This is by far the most unprofessional auto parts establishment that I have had the displeasure of working with. I cannot even fathom how it could be any worse. Avoid at all costs

If someone can tell me the name of the lady working at the front desk pony tail brown hair white female , she accused me of someone who called her several times and told me I'm a foreigner and she held me up for 1.30hrs and was yelling and cussing at me and at the end of her argument she told me have a blessed day. PEOPLE do not let this go unseen put a complaint to city people like this cannot run the business. I asked her for her name she refused to tell me so if someone knows please let me know and pass on the complaints.

Horrible service. Ordered part, no communication to say they had it. Took card number and said they would call back before charging it. Received a dirty, stained, unusable part 4 days later. Called to return and wouldn't return my call. Melissa then passed responsibility to someone who quit 2 weeks ago. Another time, David quoted price on a part and never returned my call. Turns out they didn't have the item. Manager said she knew my email for return label, but when questioned, had my first name completely wrong. I will never call again. Got the dirty part on eBay for $25 less, and in like new condition.

I simply called to follow up on the shipping of a part that my husband ordered and the response was The order was canceled because Mr. R decided to run off at the mouth and I can choose who I want to sell to so the order was cancelled and then she hung up the phone in my face. I had never spoken with this lady and I was in no way nasty with her. I m glad the order was cancelled - I would never do business with this type of business nor would I ever recommend. I only rated 1 because there s no 0!Horrible horrible horrible customer service.Been back and forth with them for 2 months trying to get refund for a bad transmission. Empty promises, lies, no responses. Was the second bad part ordered from them. They were both shipped at the same time. Came to deliver some other items a while back, delievered one, and forgot to deliver the other. We re not talking a couple hundred dollars worth of stuff. I m talking thousands. Seriously folks, stay away from this place!!

Called two weeks ago asking about a set of wheels they had for sale online. I asked if I could have a set of photos of the wheels since it was going to cost $1600 in total. I called multiple times over the course of two weeks and each time they forgot who I was and had to write down my information constantly. I just called again and one of the employees stated to me that she took those wheels off the car for herself recently and just forgot to take the listing down. I can only wonder if the owner knows about their employee doing this since they basically just lost $1600 in all reality.

Note that I ve waited over a year to write this review and I m still irritated enough to leave a 1 star simply because you cannot leave a zero. **** WARNING*** DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE. They had sent me the wrong part of the wrong car. When I had let them know about the this, it was very obvious that they did not care at all. It took me 5 months to get my money back.They lead me on with empty promises and lies until the dispute time ran out with my credit card co. In the end I did get my money back by a phone campaign where I tied up there phone lines and promised them the calls will not end until the money was refunded. Their other reviews say it all and and shows a clear pattern of very bad business practices. Seeing that there are no responses on these reviews, it also shows that they just don't care.

Completely agreed with all reviews here. Horrible customer service. Had me waiting all day to find out whether they have an ABS pump that works for me. They advertised 4 on stock. 4 hours later after my repeated phone calls they tell me they can't find a car in their lot and then they yell at me and claim they won't sell it to me because I got "smart" with them.Even if they show a cheap price, it's not worth calling them. They will just waste your time.
