Disclaimer: Now-a-days no auto repair is "inexpensive ", BUT a local repair shop is usually less costly than a dealership. I have an electrical problem with my truck. ACC couldn't find the problem but didn't charge me for trying. I have had my other vehicles serviced here and trust them to do good work and not overcharge. Highly recommended

We've used Auto Care several times over the past 10+ years and they've always been good. Fair prices, good work, and best of all: good communication. That's in short supply right now. They read codes from the engine light to say they I had to take the car to a transmission place. I went to another car repair place and NO ! I do not need to take this car there. It was only tightening up the gas cap ! I paid a lot for their incorrect information. I drove the car over 30 miles...There is no engine light on ! cause of the gas cap ! NO trasnmission problem!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Its not the service they provide, it's the many they don't. No major engine work or replacements, no transmission work at all, and no recommendations as to where those services can be found. 3 months after some minor work the vehicle died and was diagnosed with bottom end engine failure. I asked for an engine replacement quote as due to the vehicle age repair was not likely an option. I was rudely told they don't do that when I asked for a recommendation to a shop that would do an engine replacement I was hung up on.

I m the last 20 years I have used Auto Care center and other repair shops in Beaufort. Lisa is the best at the front desk and always pleasant. I ve never had a bad repair with Lisa and her crew. We moved here recently and had no idea who to use as a mechanic. Auto Care got us in the very next day and got it fixed immediately at a great price! Guess we found our new mechanic.

This has been the second time I have taken my car to Auto care on Parris Island Gateway after having a bad experience at local dealerships. They are honest friendly and trustworthy. They never have a problem looking over the list I get from the dealership of things that are wrong with my car. They will explain what things are and why or why not they are in good condition and what I need to do or what they suggest. I will forever be grateful for Lisa who is alway honest and open with me. I have found my little car shop in Beaufort and will never go anywhere else A huge thank you Lisa and all the staff for all the hard work. The customer service in this shop is nonexistent. Girl at the desk slid a piece of paper across the desk with the key after we had no work done with no words so I assumed we're done here. I also asked was that it? I figured the shortness was because we weren't getting work done anymore. My husband dropped the vehicle off and said there was attitude then. Gave a price over the phone that was different once we got there. Only reason we took it from the shop it was at prior. Had to pay for them to look at it even with nothing done.

If I can give this place absolutely 0 starts I would. Terrible place. My husbands car was at this shop for a month with a minor problem that doesn t take a whole month to fix! We kept calling for updates about when the car would be ready and they kept saying it would be ready today or tomorrow and it s been a whole month without any updates and they did absolutely nothing to the car to fix it so we picked up the car. Unprofessional place! Do not recommend!

I a had an issue with my car, and called around to several places , they all said I had to leave my car for several days.This was the only place thatnworked with me to get my car fixed. Lisa arranged for someone to take me back to work so I could leave my car with them. That simple act will keep me going back to them.

Called at 12 one day and spoke to a man, I received a quote for $250 and he wanted to know when I would come in. I told him I would have to call back after checking with my husband. Called back at 3 the same day, spoke with a woman and I told her about my previous convo and she wanted to check my quote, she quoted me $330 and when I asked for a reason she wouldn't give one and did not check with the other staff members to see if they remembered speaking with me. I have a 91 manual trans f-150, whoever spoke to me earlier would have remembered. I got a lower quote elsewhere and their phone service is excellent.

I took my car to Autocare because the AC was blowing room air not cool. After two trips and a $700+ bill I drove home and AC was now blowing heated air. No one returns my calls and no opportunity to leave a voice mail.I am now disputing this bill with my credit card company.Service: A/C installation & repairService: A/C installation & repair

On 28 May, a mechanic in Ridgeland supposedly fixed my rear brake light that had been staying permanently on. I say supposedly because I drove my car back to my friend's house, about 3 miles and I didn't drive my car at all again until 1 June when I headed to Beaufort and my car had trouble getting to 40 mph, then to 50mph, and to 60mph, etc, and it was making horrible noises. It eventually started to run ok after a while of hellacious noises. I had breakfast with a friend in Beaufort and then after leaving the restaurant, the same sorts of things started happening again with my car but this time to the point that it was SO bad I HAD to pull into a parking lot. Then the car wouldn't go in reverse, and then it wouldn't even go forward. Thankfully my friend recommended Auto Care Center to me. I attempted to get the 1.9 miles from where I was to there but with 0.9 miles to go, the car wouldn't budge. Then a nice man in a van AND a Beaufort County Sheriff tried to push my car to the shoulder but it wouldn't budge. They both said it was probably the transmission and the brakes being totally stuck. I was sitting in the car, just talking with the sheriff about things we had in common, waiting for AAA to come. This lasted for about 45 minutes. I had a "feeling" that my car would start again so I asked the sheriff if he would follow me the 0.9 miles to Auto Care Center and he said he would. I finally got there and living in Miami I'm not used to such nice customer service. Lisa at the desk was SO nice and polite and patient and listened to my whole story. Then John checked out my car and determined that when I had taken my car to a place in Ridgeland, when they were installing the break switch, it was adjusted too far in, keeping the break pedal applied, which probably also means they didn't even test it out to see if they had positioned it correctly. John didn't charge me anything for what he did, which I assume was adjusting the break switch properly, which is what the place in Ridgeland should have done. I wanted to PayPal or Venmo them some cash because, wow, how nice were they, Lisa and John, great humans! They said no. Luckily I had some cash on me to give them. Very nice, honest, and patient people. Would highly recommend. Now waiting to see how the credit card dispute with the place in Ridgeland goes.

Great experience, wonderful service, very polite and very good prices. Brought our truck in for timing belt and water pump replacement. Dropped it off one morning and picked it up the next evening. They were very accommodating as it was our only vehicle at the time. They waited a few minutes past close for us to come pick it up since we were running a little late, a friend was giving us a ride. The truck runs better than it did before and they even fixed the annoying belt squeal the truck had when it first starts!!! Super happy customer, truck has 200kmi on it and it runs whisper quiet & smooth. GREAT shop, highly recommend them!

We are the original owners of a well maintained 2012 Cadillac SRX, logging close to 200K miles. In the past, whenever the vehicle needed maintenance outside of regular oil changes we sought the services of Hilton Head Cadillac in Bluffton. Recently, we noticed a loud vibration coming for the front of the vehicle so after some research and reading several positive reviews we decided to give Auto Care Center an opportunity to repair it. From the point they diagnosed a bad wheel bearing to the finished repair, they were extremely professional, onetime and pricing was extremely fair. They even allowed us to bring our separately purchased ACDelco wheel bearings for installation. Without any hesitation, we highly recommend Auto Care Center. We intend on returning shortly in order to have them replace the rear wheel bearings and give the vehicle a complete overall inspection. Again, highly recommended!Service: Steering & suspension repair

I cannot say enough good things about this business and it's people. I found myself in the Beaufort, South Carolina area and my rear brakes were metal on metal (wife's car and she had a co-worker tell he to only do the front brakes). Knowing that before travelling back to Ohio we needed to get these fixed, I started looking for a shop. I believed you couldn't trust online reviews because of companies doing their own. So, in my mind this became a crap shoot...boy, did I get lucky. As I sat waiting for my ride, I overheard 4 other customers that were referred to this shop. One by another shop that couldn't do the repair, one by a car dealership and the others by random sources. Not only did they do the repair extremely quickly and correct, they treated me fair. They had an "out of towner" that was thinking he need new rotors, pads and possibly calipers. No. They were able to turn the rotors and put new pads on. The cost was about 1/4 I thought it would be and the Customer Service was exceptional. I have already told several friends that travel to the area to keep their number in case they need something and I now have a shop I will always look to when I need something and I am in the Beaufort, South Carolina area.

Called and made an appointment, walked in and waited at the desk for five minutes. Three people behind the desk were answering the phones, yet not one of them said hello or how can I help you. Completely disregarded me, so I walked out. If you don't have time to deal with a customer who already has an appointment, you shouldn't be taking on more. 1 star for lack of customer service.

I love auto care center. Theyre always very friendly and helpful. Reasonable prices and they take good care of their customers! I havent been able to find a better place! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

I have been taking my vehicles here since 1989. When I can't fix an issue myself, the Professionals here do it, and at a very good price. I am Thankful for The Auto Care Center as they provide a service that is hard to find anymore i.e. they fix what is broken without the attempt of phishing you up with some extra bogus repairs.

I have had the worse experience of my life with this Auto care center. They had my vehicle for over a month and half to have a gas tank and lines switch out. Just last Wednesday they told me it was ready. I left and head towards the air station my truck burst into flames and burn down. And they said it's not they're fault

The work was done properly, and the price was as quoted. I felt confident of the mechanics, and their abilities. I had my entire exhaust system replaced on a classic car.

$50 to extract a broken bolt that they broke while working on the car. The bolt in perfectly in tact when given to them. Rude manager. Overall terrible experience.
