Great experience overall. Mr. Price gave me a reasonable price on my car s repair, in comparison to other shops around. He also informed me of other things going on with my vehicle to look out for in the future. Very patient and observant of my issues, and diligent with responses. I will definitely refer anyone to this shop, it saved me a lot of money and kept me from doing the labor myself.

I had a problem with my engine coolant sensor and called several places to get a quote. Some places wanted to charge me as much as $1500 to get the part replaced and repaired. Gavin charged me half that and did an excellent job in the minimal amount of time. He was very professional, kind, and understanding. I called him on a Saturday morning and my car was fixed by Saturday afternoon. I cannot say enough about Gavin and how much of a blessing he was to me the day that my car was repaired.

I recently had to have my water pump, pulley, belt, and thermostat replaced. Gavin did an amazing job. It was done in a timely manner and the pricing was agreeable. Highly recommend him for any work needed.

Did work on my PT cruiser a few months ago. I was doing a winter tune-up, noticed a few things. One thing I noticed immediately was my throttle body housing left in the rear seat and not reinstalled.. Thats okay. I popped it back on, no big deal. I know my car was a mess, and you think i don't know whats there, but best believe I know what was taken out of it, like my car charger i use daily, but those small things can be replaced. What I **DONT** like, is that you charged a woman $40 for antifreeze and didn't put a single drop in it. Yeah, when i brought the car in, it had just water in it because it was leaking and I knew from where, but didn't have the equipment to fix it. I was also failed to keep informed and did extra work without discussing. If I didn't have the money you would have just laughed and used me as a story like you had about someone else who couldn't pay so you sold their car. Thats not a joking matter and not professional for a business owner to tell a customer. I understand driving with bad mounts is dangerous, but upon examining the mounts that were installed, maybe next time make sure they are installed correctly so the boots don't crack. You also failed to put my radiator reservoir cap back on. I wasn't going to say anything and just let it go, but I don't want someone to almost get killed because you or your apprentice overtightened or lost parts.

Harper Automotive Repair did outstanding work on two of my husband and my vehicles. We were and are satisfied with the substantial work done, his expertise, his professionalism and his honesty. He explained what was needed and was upfront with the cost, supplying a written estimate. We paid the invoice in full for a job more than well done. This guy is nice and manipulative. He took advantage of my lack of knowledge about cars. I ended up paying $1,400 for a brake job and he didn't even bled my brakes properly. I drove around for a week on very spongy and dull brakes. It was dangerous and scary. He told me that my master cylinder needed to be replaced but when I took the car to another mechanic they told me the master was fine and that the car wasn't bled.

After experiencing unsatisfactory service from another local shop, I was referred by a friend to Harper Automotive. Each time I have been in for routine service or to diagnose an issue, the work has been completed correctly and promptly. A light come on my dash and my Nissan Altima started acting funny so I called Mr. Price. He let me go ahead and bring it in. Come to find out it was something dealing with all Nissan s. Mr. Price not only called Nissan dealership got me an appointment before my trip he also the day of the appointment followed my husband to drop it off and brought him home so I wouldn t have to get off work. Let s be real, Right is Right Wrong is Wrong!! Harpers Automotive Mobile Repair Charged me $850 for a Diagnostic's just to tell me that my engine is bad. This price is totally unreasonable and is just another way for them to keep your vehicle by applying for a Mechanic Lien. They are very rude on the phone and seem to enjoy the fact that if you don't pay for their overpriced service that they will obtain a title for your car by applying for a mechanic lien. I will be filing a complaint to the BBB to make sure that others know about the bad business that this Company does.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Faulty Re-manufactured DL 12468 Starter installed on my 2016 Kia Forte on 11.13.20 and 11.23.20. On 11.13.20 Gavin Phillip Price sold me a Durlast Re-manufactured Starter DL-12468 for 493.99.It was actually a faulty re-manufactured starter that made noise each time the car was started.On 11.23.20 I drove my car to Aiken's Finest Auto Care & Exhaust, where Gavin Price works and he put a second re-manufactured starer, Duralast DL-12468 on my car and it made the same noise upon cranking. He then advised that he thought it may be a belt not a faulty starter. On 12.11.20 I took the car to the Kia Dealership in Augusta GA where they deemed the starter to be faulty and replaced with a Factory Starter and the noise went away. Gavin Price misrepresented on the invoice that the starter was new when it was actually re-manufactured and it was deemed faulty. He has since refused to refund me for the starter which I have in my possession.I have asked him twice on 12.11.20 and 12.12.20 for a refund on the faulty starter. He declined, stating that I should have allowed him a third attempt to correct the issue.I would like a refund of 493.99 due to both starters being faulty and misrepresented as New when they were re-manufactured. The cost of the Duralast Starter at Autozone is 224.99 but Mr Price charged me 493.99 with an additional 140 for two hours of labor.I have filed a complaint with the BBB, Case #67066647 and filing an additional complaint with the SC Department of Consumer Affairs today.UPDATE TO GAVIN PHILLIP PRICES' RESPONSE - - Your response below, three months after the fact about a PassTime Device has nothing to do with the two faulty aftermarket starters YOU installed on my vehicle.In fact, once Kia of Augusta placed a factory starter and returned to me your faulty aftermarket starter (which remains in my possession should further legal action be needed) on my car no further issues were detected.Your response and failed attempt to diminish my character or my finance companies polices is another example of your unprofessional behavior. Our country is in a Pandemic that has unemployed and underemployed many Americans who find themselves faced with options beyond their control. It is my hope that future customers will take this into consideration before using your services because your response belittles them and their economic situation.Potential consumers please review how soon Gavin Phillip Price responds so quickly to positive reviews and how long it took him to respond to my review and not address the actual issue. If you want service have it towed. Wanted me to pay for diagnostic with no repairs. Didn t come prepared for doing any repairs( no tools) just wanted a $85.00 diagnostic fee I feel like Mr Price tried to set me further back.
