It s 5 stars for me for DMV Wakefield Branch. Everyone who works there is professional and courteous. The security guards take care of you with information even before reaching an agent. The appointments make it streamlined and easy. The people are what make this place so awesome. John and Kelly are a delight! I really enjoyed my interactions with John. He is such a fun and amicable guy! I was transferring registration in from out of state and needed a license as well. John took care of everything and did so while making me laugh! Great experience, and overall, I give this DMV 5 stars all the way!

I had multiple transactions at the Wakefield DMV today. From when I entered the building until I left all employees were so friendly and helpful. They reorganized it since I was last there and it went so much smoother having someone review everyone s paperwork before you went to the window to make sure you had everything you needed. There was a gentleman who kept jumping in to help when the upfront process or windows got behind. It was a great experience. Great job DMV for making such noticeable changes!!!

The most disrespectful people on the planet work here. To start, the entire time I was sitting and waiting there it was a bunch of DMV employees sitting together and chatting about how much they hate their job, and how much they hate people coming in in the afternoon.I drove an hour to come here, and the second the clock hit 3:31, they just decided that they were done working for the day and kicked me out. I was literally at the desk with a woman working through the process when they said they were closing and I had to leave. When I told him this is literally the only day I can do this since I reside out of state for school, they told me too bad.Maybe don t have 3 o clock appointments if you guys don t want to stay past 330. On top of that all the employees mumble when they talk to you and you have to make them repeat themselves five times to actually hear what they re saying. Just a bunch of rude miserable people.

Wow so we have to make appointments for certain times. Yet when you arrive at that time you wait for over an hour. This is due to the employees work ethic. They take forever and constantly switch out for breaks. A line almost out the door yet everyone has an appointment while only 2 people actually have tickets. This is seriously embarrassing. The DMV has always been horrible and Covid made it a little better but no they are back to their old ways and falling back into their cushy jobs. Why worry about someone else time or day or work when you just have to sit their and no matter how fast you help people check in you still get paid that day. Their hasTo be some SOP on a quota for the day and how expeditiously each check in should take. I watched three breaks happen at the check in booth in the time I waited in line. Talk about taking tax payers money I mean literally taking.

Arrived at the DMV Wakefield at 11:30am for my appointment to renew my license and get a realID. Was done and back in my car by 11:40! Only took 10 min!! Everyone was highly efficient and very pleasant! What a difference from the days of waiting in line for hours! Great Job, DMV!!

I know being a secretary at the DMV probably sucks but you could at least TRY to be polite & professional. The condescension is completely unnecessary and it wasn't just with me, I watched her take an attitude and talk down to multiple people who came through her line. If you want to work with people you should at least pretend to care. She needs a major attitude adjustment

Just go to Cranston if you want to be in and out quickly. Spent an hour in line here.. Cranston is 5 minutes everytime.

Renewing anything has always been challenging.1. They suggest you renewing online but not for real ID.2. You can renew real ID through mail, but at the risks of losing your documents through mails.3. You still cannot renew in person, as the online reservation is always unavailable.So you got to drive carefully as you will not be able to get a driver license.

Arrived at 5 minutes b4 the appt. Greeted and checked in on appointed time. They were helpful and curtious.I'm a R. I. native and thought I was in the wrong state. Never experienced a stressless DMV moment as that in almost 60 years. Impressive. Only 4 stars bcuss we still don't have an office in our city. I don't appreciate driving 2 cities away.

Visited this branch for the first time yesterday and had a great experience. Luisa and her supervisor Rachel ended up staying late to ensure that I didn't have to return the next day. Outstanding customer service. Thank you so much!

DMVs have the stigma of being a dreadful place to have to go, but I had the total opposite experience at the Wakefield DMV. The staff was wonderful - the man who checked my appointment time was so kind and upbeat. Once I headed to the check in desk, the woman who helped me was very patient, kind, and thorough when explaining things to me I was unfamiliar with. I was switching my license from out of state to in state and was in and out in 15 minutes start to finish!

Not your topical dmv experience. The people were so personable, from the gentleman who greeted me at the door, to the security guard that was helping folks get into the correct line (or maybe I looked suss ), to the actual dmv workers. I was in and out, I think it's all done by appointment now, so it was quick and easy.

The best customer service experience I've had so far in 2022 wasn't a fancy restaurant, it was the Wakefield DMV! I am floored by how friendly, fast, and efficient everything and everyone was. I left the DMV feeling bad I wasn't allowed to tip them for providing such great service. I say this as someone who moved here from MA and dealt with the Cranston DMV (dumpster fire, 5 hour wait) 10 years ago. I planned for a 2 hour DMV experience, license, registration, new plates but was in and out in about 30 minutes including an unforeseen back excise tax from 10 years ago requiring payment, and faxed confirmation. My experience may not be the norm. I came prepared with printed filled out forms and all my documents. I usually dread the DMV but in this case I was pleasantly surprised.

The staff inside was great. I was in and out in under ten minutes however the man at the receiving door who was there to make sure I had an appointment made a very vulgar comment about my mother who had given me a ride. It made me extremely uncomfortable

I was in and out in 30 minutes.Staff was helpful and friendly.The officer overseeing was very nice, and alerted me when I didn't realize my number was called.Much better than the Cranston branch (I would feel that way even if I waited here for hours.)

I made an appointment in advance. All staffs were pleasant and helpful. The process was faster than I expected. They cared about everybody s health during the pandemic. Don t forget to wear a mask in the building

I made an appt for 2:00 and after check-in with the gaurd at the door (covid protocol) I got right in and up to the first desk to check my paperwork and then when I had everything ready I went right up to the main counter and there was no wait at all. The guy at the counter said 2:00 is a good time to go. By 3:00 there is always a line of people getting in before they close at 3:30.

Its been 25 years since I've lived in RI. I just moved back and registered a motorcycle and truck. Motorcycle was in Cranston and the woman was very nice and extremely helpful. One week later registered my truck in Wakefield and the woman also extremely helpful and very nice to deal with. They've come a long way!!

Everyone hates the DMV, I was putting it off for years after my visit to the Cranston branch. I was so surprised by the relatively fast wait and SUPER friendly and helpful staff. First time I went I was in and out with a brand new ID in less than hour, went back the next day for my permit with a blue ticket from my last visit (I was short on cash, my fault) and was in and out in 30 minutes.

Employees super nice.Rachel who is the The Supervisor was excellent and very helpful, 5 stars for her and the Employees.However, Do not listen to advice from Allied security guards pertaining to registrations/titles when waiting in line. I was given false information and told I was wrong, witch was not the case.I don't not think that is part of their job.I believe the DMV employees should have a course on the NADA laws.

Surprisingly fast and efficient because of Kelly, at counter #1 of the Wakefield branch. Her cordiality, efficiency, and overall professionalism made it, believe it or not, a pleasure to deal with the DMV. Given my prior experiences with the RI DMV, I was expecting long wait times and sub-standard service. Instead, on Thursday, February 21st, I was incredibly surprised to be served by Kelly who was welcoming and courteous -- not only to me, but to all other patrons I observed. She was also very flexible and understanding when dealing with what was, quite frankly, my own ignorance of all the required forms and information needed. The transaction was fast and efficient which really helped me get back to my job. This kind of experience, even just by one person, has changed my view of the RI DMV. Kelly should be commended for changing my opinion and for providing a stellar experience for myself and I'm sure other RI residents. I extend thanks and kudos to Kelly and her managers.

Very satisfied with the visit, during this pandemic time. I was able to schedule the appointment early for a registration, the check in process was super quick with all officer asking simple question. Small place, friendly staffs ,..... Four because of the drive
