I used this shop for a pre-purchase inspection as I was an out-of-state purchaser of a used Rhode Island car local to his area. Given I would have no recourse if the car had any issues, I put my faith in this shop to perform a thorough PPI. I should have known something was amiss when the PPI was performed very quickly (even after I offered to pay 2x his rate for a more thorough inspection). I was told the only items needing replacement were brake pads and front struts. "The rest of the car was mint." Upon taking delivery of the car and having my local shop check the car over, they discovered over $3,000 in additional repairs were needed including a leaking water pump, front crankseal, and turbo return line. All of these items should and could have been easily found in a very basic PPI. I based my decision to buy the car on this shop's findings. Had I been told of the items needing replacement, I would have not purchased the car. The mechanic was very polite, just wish he was more thorough.

I ve been having problems with other mechanics around but greg got my van done super quick and was super easy to communicate with! answered all my calls and questions. super knowledgeable! would recommend to anyone!

My wife and I have lived on "the island" for over a year now. My 2008 range rover is a mechanics nightmare.. until I was introduced to greg popovici "the Picasso" of auto repair!! Greg is the owner of Island Motorworks. Greg has worked on my rover three times now and I couldn't be happier. He's honest, fast and fair priced. My Subaru broke down on the way back from cape cod.Greg towed my car the next day to his shop and replace the transmission.In 2 days I was back in my car.To save a few thousands he found a used transmission (30,000 miles)I will be back (hope not too soon)
