Our 2011 Land Rover LR4/Discovery 4 needed a new battery, alternator and water pump, and a few associated items.Reading the review of another customer with an almost identical set of mechanical issues, what can be said but my experience was 100% opposite to that review which appears very unfair.My experience with this team of professionals was absolutely first rate. The owner and his team are considerate, professional, very consultative, proactive, and took great care to show my husband and I exactly what was wrong, which parts had failed and the likely reasons why (and face it after 100,000 miles and 13 years of driving, these are the kind of parts you ought to be expecting will need replacement).The vehicle most recently repaired is our fourth Land Rover and they are not cheap or simple vehicles. I will also point out that not every mechanic loves to work on them, I've experienced instances where some shops will even decline to service these, because of the complexity.Nevertheless the Kent's Alignment team took care of a big set of issues in a truly professional and confidence-inspiring manner. Awesome. While the scope of the repair was big enough that this was not a cheap effort, Frank and his team gave us every confidence we made the correct choice in going to Kent's.While I'm no expert in the domain, my husband also remarked on the diagnostic gear, tools and other systems they use, which is apparently state-of-the art and very new. Plus the facility is uncommonly tidy and nice.Based on my experience with this team I recommend them unreservedly.Thanks for looking after our beloved LR4!

The employees and owner of this shop are some of the best I've ever seen. They're knowledgeable, friendly, respectful, and nice. They don't talk down to you or treat you like you're stupid. They go over the details of what they found and what they recommend. I highly recommend this place to everyone who needs work done.

DO NOT GO HERE. Misdiagnosed my coolant leak and replaced an entire water pump system at a ridiculous price. Turns out my car only needed a plastic housing piece. Absolute worst customer service when I called to discuss the issue and kept repeating "Well I told you" without any further explanation and did not apologize once. We will NEVER go back here.

I cannot recommend these guys for simple brake jobs and tire mounting.I brought in my car for bakes and tires. My car has wider back wheels and tires than the front. They mounted the wide tires on the smaller wheels and skinnier tires on the wide wheels. Because they mixed-up the tires, all four wheel locations were incorrect. One of the mechanics was also the only one there to process my payment. He could not operate the POS system so I had to go get cash up the street.For the brakes, my car came back with the front brakes rattling over every bump and pulsating when I applied the brakes. After three trips back to them for them to correct it, I lost my faith in them and paid another shop $300 to tell me the pads they used were junk and don't fit properly. They recommended I use the manufacturer s pads. By going elsewhere, five months of loud rattling and my brakes not working correctly was solved in one appointment.These guys are friendly enough, but are not able to get the job done. I would love a partial refund, but sometimes it is easier to move on.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I was away for a week and left my car with them. They said they would have no problem doing the work in that time. I called on Friday it wasn t done. I called on Monday, couldn t get a hold of the manager until late afternoon. No work was done. He said they would try to get to it on Tuesday. I took my car back on Tuesday afternoon without any work being done. They promise a lot but then leave you hanging. If you need your car to get to work, don t rely on them.

Bad management! Simple rear brakes to fix . They said they get it done by one day 3 weeks after they finally fix my rear brakes fix but not to know my brakes making noises and my ABS and track stabilizer warning light went on , so the manager blame it on a rat .lol ! So 3 months later I bring to another shop to fix the ABS they said Kent's shop forget to install another part that's why my warning light went off.. I wouldn't recommend anyone bringing there car to this shop .. zero stars for this shop

I had gone to these guys for five years, they were my shop! I am actually here changing my review from a 5 star to a 1 star. They took a week to fix something that ended up making more problems in the car. The part that they replaced ended up not working. In the midst of all of it I could never get anyone on the phone and when I did that person couldn't give me any answers. The manager said they would take the faulty part back to get it tested for a refund and now he's saying he has to talk to the owner I called the owner at his other shop Point Garage and that a was a whole other experience. Frank became incredibly confrontational and was interrupting me after he asked a question and was accusing me of saying things I didn t say and then started screaming that I was taking away his 1st amendment rights when I would counter him. Kents used to be best, but the new owner is hurting them bad. However, of the two, the manager Anthony (at Kent s) is at least a calm reasonable person to deal with, he can have an adult conversation. After being berated on the phone by the owner I initially went into tears and only then did the manager finally agree to give me my money back for the faulty part. He did the right thing, but this whole ordeal has lasted four weeks. If you go over to the Point Garage reviews you ll see a similar story with the owner from a few months ago.

I would have given 0 stars if I could. I scheduled an appointment weeks ago for a vehicle inspection. Bring it in at 8 they said. Dropped it off at 8, made arrangements to be brought to work and picked up. 7.5 hours later my car is not done and they said it wouldn't get done as they have no one to inspect vehicles. Why schedule appointments for vehicle inspections when you have no one to inspect vehicles. She complained to me that she had to stand in front of me and deal with me because she cannot rely on her inspectors. Are you kidding?Service: Vehicle Inspection

Poor service! Dropped my car off Monday. With a crack in my exhaust was told all I needed to do was get a sleeve to have it welded on and the repair would be fine. By Wednesday I still had not heard from them so I gave them a call just for them to tell me that they could not weld it on. so my husband goes to pick the car up and when he brings it to the next shop my whole muffler is hanging on the ground they had cut off a piece and halfway did the job and then decided that they couldn't do it and wanted me to pay $1,200 for a whole new exhaust system!!!! Rip off artist. So I took my car straight to b&c Auto and they ordered the part and will be welding it on no problem for $250.

Really went above and beyond to help me. They sped their times up to fix my car when I was stranded in RI. Got me to my sisters wedding kn time which was that weekend. Kind hearted is simply not something you can teach people. And it doesn't hurt that they are a master at their craft too.

Merrilee is very pleasant to deal with. I would go to Kents just for her. They charge about $125 an hour so they're a little pricey.

They are great I found a new garage they are by far the best I've been to in a long long time professional courteous they will give you a fair deal, they are honest courteous wonderful and will not hose you for unnecessary repairs, I don't know what else to say, just GREAT !!!!!.

So I put off getting my car inspected and of course , on my way to drop my son off to school, I get pulled over. Cop was cool, but they had to take my plates and tow my car.The officer told me I had to get it inspected, then go to Cranston to the DMV, then go back to local police station, then back to Kent s. I called Kent s, they got me in right away, inspected, CALLED DMV, CALLED THE POLICE STATION, got my truck reinstated, and all I had to do was go pick up my plates.. I had my truck back by 11:00am!!Great service!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Told me I needed a new wiper assembly for $325. Did the job myself. They never even took it apart to trouble shoot the problem! They had said a plastic bushing broke. No! A nut fell off the linkage. It was an easy fix. They are liars and lazy! Wish I wouldn't have believed them and wasted money shipping unneeded parts around.
