After getting quotes from 4 other locations in newport and middletown, I was massively surprised to find the owner here did the job at half of the price of the other lowest quote. He also got it done within an hour ( mount 4 tires that I already owned ). He's polite, kind, and an all-around good bloke. He earned my business for life with an act of kindness at a price none of the others would offer. Give them a try, you'll be glad you did.

The owner is very truthful and up front. He speaks to you respectfully and explains every aspect of the repair. I brought my partners '03 , Corvette C5 here and am very pleased with their integrity and work. If you're in need of specialized repairs I strongly suggest coming here!

Was recommended to visit Dwyer's Point Garage when my vehicle's a/c stopped working. When I showed up without an appointment, they still accommodated me, testing my a/c system while I waited.Great people, very knowledgeable and the place you should go with your vehicle, especially Mercedes, BMW and Range Rover owners.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Air conditioning

I'd give this place 0 stars if I could. The people in charge have a massive attitude problem, do a poor job, and are just generally unpleasant. They also seem to have an issue with women in general.Do better. Go to a place that actually appreciates you.Service: General repairs & maintenance

These guys are the best. I was in crisis mode a few weeks ago with gas leaking from my car. I originally took it to Haddad and they charged me $75 to tell me what was wrong..when I took it to Dwyer's Point to have a second opinion these guys were so honest, quick, and even filled up my tires, checked my oil and didn't charge me a dime. I couldn't recommend them enough.Thank you !!

The people that work here are so nice and helpful. They took a look at my car right away and eased my nerves about what needed to be done. I will definitely be recommending this shop to my friends!!

I had to give one "star" or I can't post my review, but my rating is actually zero stars. So, I took my Audi to Dwyer's for an oil change. A week later my warning light came on saying "add oil." I took it straight back to Dwyer's and they at first said "Maybe it's leaking from the drain plug." So, they examined it and said "nope, it's leaking from up high - probably the valve cover." They said it would be fine and just to add oil as needed . . . They mentioned something about they could keep it for a few days and have the engine steam cleaned to find out where it's leaking and then just sort of shrugged their shoulders. I went to the Audi dealer the next day and told them what Dwyer's had said. The techs at Audi inspected it and determined that the valve cover was definitely not leaking - the leak was due to the oil filter being installed incorrectly during the oil change. So, I went back to Dwyer's with the documentation from Audi. You know, we all make mistakes, no biggie . . . but, the owner/manager (Frank) became very confrontational and angry and accused the Audi service department of lying and generally was extremely disagreeable and adversarial and refused to offer any recompense. I am not trying to pull anything over on anyone, I'm not poor, we're only talking about $130 here, but I got the impression that this is a regular situation with his folks. Otherwise, why wouldn't he (or any respectable business) just apologize and refund my money? Very disheartening and disappointing. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau - I would steer clear of these folks.Service: Oil change

I had my car worked on another shop and after wasting an insane amount of money, my car still wasn't working. So, I brought it here. They took it the next morning and worked on it. When i picked it up, they did not charge me, telling me to drive it for a while to make sure it was fixed. Awesome guys

This guy has effectively stolen my car. It was towed to his garage by the tow service this Friday. Now he s closed up shop for the night, without any promise to look at it even after the weekend . The tow service is en route to pick it up to bring it to somebody who needs - or wants - customers.

INCREDIBLE PEOPLE! I have never felt comfortable at garages, I know very little about cars and in the past, it's always been an anxiety inducing experience for me. This is my second time at Dwyers and I'm blown away by their kind, warm personalities. They fixed my wheel bearing in the past for a very reasonable price and patched up a muffler for me at no cost. All the while, helping me laugh through a stressful situation. Simply the BEST in Newport.

Not all mechanics like to work on Volkswagens. I brought my car here early last week and was very pleased with the service that I received. Frank was prompt, took care of the problem, and then took the time to explain to me what I might need to do in the upcoming months to better maintain my car. Having looked up the possible costs for what I needed done I left feeling like I was charged fairly and tread well. I will be back.Service: Brakes

I just moved to Newport from Boston and needed my car to be fixed. I had already spent over 2,000 on it and found myself in a pinch. I took my car to a garage right down the street from where I moved. It was the best decision I could of made. The guys welcomed me with laughter and made me feel like I could trust them. They put my car up in the air and told me what it needed and to bring it back Friday. They patched my muffler for nothing so I could get by till I could come up with the cash. They took time out of their day to help a stranger. I m from a small town in Maine and know how nice and close all our town people are. This was just like home. I ve taken my car back twice and have had the same kind service from them. I highly recommend this garage. Thank you guys for making my life easier and for all the laughs we have when I come there. I have only received exemplary service at this garage. For the first time in over 20 years I have an auto mechanic that I trust. I am not a wealthy woman and I appreciate the honestly I'm given - in particular when I'm told that a particular service is NOT necessary at that time. All of the gentlemen that work there have been friendly, and they always get at least a few laughs out of me. I was VERY surprised to see one poor review on here that knocked down their rating. I had to give you my two cents because I'll never go anywhere else!

So I took a leap of faith and brought my car here (for brake pads & rotors) because of the reference I got from a complete stranger! Even after I was not able to bring my car in when I originally scheduled to do so, he was still kind enough to work with me and understand/accommodate my military work schedule (my military budget too lol)! My car runs great! Real quality work! You can tell they take pride in what they do. I would definitely come back for ANY other car issues if I were staying in the area! Thank you Dwyersssss!!!! :)

I had an emergency with my car this past Saturday. I called them to bring my car to their garage they waited and stayed open. They worked on my car immediately. I made an appointment to get my car fixed. When I showed up, nobody even came out to help me. It took me coughing a few times for them to actually notice.They told me I should have dropped my car off at 8:00 a.m.. I would not recommend this garage as they are not friendly or accommodating.

Took my car there and was charged an outrageous price for labor, said it took him three hours to diagnose. I was suspicious so I did some research on youtube (wish I had done that before) took me about three mins to find out the issue (very common cause). This is unfortunate as Dwyers was suggested to me by autozone. Lesson learned for me, hopefully you don't rush to Dwyers for trusted service. They are either not good/slow workers or just a rip off.

I didn't get my car fixed here. However I find it good that the owner is engaging with the community and his clients. Plus some of these responses he gives are absolutely hilarious
