I used him for several years in a row. He does a great job BUT he's a pompous bully. I took it in stride until I couldn't and will never do business with him again. He would not honor is battery warranty without a receipt saying he did not keep copies. I've since learned I am not an isolated incident. The guy is a true a***oleEdit, June 2023: In response to owner's response, I wrote and posted the review over a year ago and it was about my experience the year prior. I have no idea why it says the review was a month ago. Look at your amount of bad reviews. Pretty impressive, you must be proud.

My scooter would not start after being dormant for the winter. Called Tony; he told me to bring it in; had it running better than it has for years in less than an hour. He knows his stuff and is uniquely entertaining to boot. Would highly recommend his service.

We have been using Tony for over 10 years - he is nothing but polite and helpful and knows his scooters! It's hard to believe any of these negative reviews, people need to calibrate their demands - businesses get busy and sometimes you have to wait. Treat people with disrespect and you may not like the response. Thanks Aquidneck Scooter for another year of a happy tune up!

I have a 2000 Honda CH80 that I bought from a woman who parked and left it in her garage for 10 years. It was running very well when she parked it but it needs some major servicing and an inspection before I put it back on the street.I haven't met Tony yet but I read all of the reviews and they seem mixed. Regardless, I very much believe in supporting local business so I'm going to take it to Tony and have him do all of the work that I don't do. When it's done, I will give you all an honest review of my entire experience.The reason why I am doing this is because one reviewer was clearly lying and it was easy to tell. People tend to exaggerate like crazy in bad reviews because they are mad. They don't get their way, what they want or are not told what they want to hear so they lose it via a review and it's not fair to the business owners out there who are rated by a lawless public that don't have to answer for anything they say.I gave a 5 star rating because I cannot say anything publicly without rating this place. Anything less than 5 stars will damage the existing rating and that's just not fair to Aquidneck Scooter Repair. To be continued.

Tony Silvia is the rudest man this side of the Mississippi. Napoleon complex. Treats women like S##T. Totally insecure. He runs a good old Boys Club. We need to put him out of business Newport! No excuse for his behavior. I have heard so many others complain as well.I have had scooters for 18 years and I have never had such a problem. Overcharges, doesn t itemize the charges so you have no idea what he s really done, but so quick to take your credit card. Customer service? Ha! You give RI a baaad name.

We ve been bringing Tony our Honda Ruckus and kids ATV s for years, they always do an amazing job and let us know when to pick it up. If you own a scooter/ moped on Aquidneck Island this is your goto shop. We will continue doing business here forever. Thank you so much!

Don't normally leave reviews, but I feel like its important for people to know that if they go here they will be met with bitterness, disrespect, and anger. I would never recommend ANYONE to get their scooter repaired here. I have never had so many consistently rude customer service experiences with one company in my entire life.

My scooter would not start after sitting in the garage over the winter. I called Aquidneck Island Scooter and they said they would come by Wednesday between 8-9am to pick it up. At exactly 8am Toni came by with his truck to take the scooter to his shop and check it out. Instead he took about 5 minutes to tinker with the 50CC scooter and got it started in my driveway. I said I needed to run in and grab my wallet and Toni said don't worry about it. Prompt, competent and honest I highly recommend this shop!

After locking all of my earthly belongings including my scooter key under the seat I walked my scooter a mile to see if Aquidneck Scooter Repair could help. He made me feel quite accomplished for making it there and gave me a chair to rest while he worked on it (think he may have been a little concerned I might collapse...lol) As a customer who had my scooter serviced there in the past he helped me free of charge and made a really stressful situation much easier. Recommend highly!

Took my 2008 Sinski scooter to Tony in early spring because it would not start and run. It never ran very well from the day I bought it so I was planning to get it running and sell it. Tony took it in and went through it once. It still had a problem with it stalling out and he immediately took it back and fixed it. He even delivered it to our Charlestown home. Since then the scooter has never ran so good, even better than when it was new! Now I have changed my mind and plan to keep it. Thanks Tony. Great job!

Tony is the best! I didn t have a source of transportation to get my scooter to the shop and he was extremely willing to make a time to pick it up! Could not recommend this place enough for any scooter/moped needs or repairs!

Tony's awesome. He always knows exactly what's going on with my Vespa and shoots straight on price. He also picks up and drops off if you request. Couldn't ask for more!

Only posted a star because I had to. RUDEST person I have ever spoken to in my life!!!!!! He starts the conversation being annoyed that he even had to answer the phone. He stated that he is too busy and had no room in his shop. So after being spoken to so rudely, I asked "so do you not want to work on it?" and then he says "ok if you are going to yell at me, I don't want to work on it!!!" and hung up to me. RUDE!!!!!!!!!!

Nice guy and very good service. He repaired my moped and I haven't had an issue with it since. He's honest and he even picks up and delivers.It's a one man operation and he knows what he's doing.

If they recommend Claude to work on your vintage moped, RUN. He was a nightmare to deal with and my moped never ran correctly after he had it for FIVE MONTHS.They need to STOP sending people to him.

Terrible experience over the phone. Asked them if they sold inner tubes for a bike tire and cut me off before I could finish with a big NO. Then hung up on me before I could ask if they knew anyone that did. Not a good way to run a business.

All the positive reviews made me really excited to work with them to repair my scooter. Customer service was so bad I decided it would better to just try and fix the scooter myself.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! EXTREMELY RUDE!! ID NEVER GO BACK TO PLACE IF MY LIFE DEPENDED ON IT. RATHER DO BIZ WITH GOOD PEOPLE THAN THESE VAMPIRES WHO WILL BLEED YOUR WALLET DRY!!
