Owner, Vinny, sold me a car that he picked up from one of his clients. There was an oil leak which was promised, in writing, to be fixed. Instead of actually fixing it, he put in stop leak in instead. This was not what was agreed upon, he had in writing, said he was replacing the oil pan. I was a client of Flynn s auto before I bought it as well, with my previous car and trusted him. Vinny knowingly screwed me over, even though I had it in writing that he was going to fix the problem. Do not buy any cars from him or trust him to properly fix your car.Unfortunately, this is a real review, even though the owner does not want to admit it. I worked in the community and did not feel comfortable trying to sue as I did not want it to affect my career.

They have a great reputation for honest service and professional work. This is my go-to for car inspections and repairs. I have not done any tire business with them just yet.

Went there for advice. They held me up 2 weeks and made me feel like a criminal when I was actually doing someone a favor! Insulting and a waste of time.I see the owner replied and was dishonest. I NEVER got an estimate and my son's car was there 2 weeks, you claimed you forgot to call.Also, I have a friend who uses Flynn, always pays top dollar and has a related problem soon after. He is going to choose elsewhere after his latest problem is fixed.Defensive and dishonest....poor business qualities!

I took my motorcycle to them for a problem with the electrical system because they are very close to my home and they said they could deal with it. They got me in quickly and finished quickly. They found some wires that were grounding out and spliced in new ones and wrapped them. They said it was now charging and working properly, and charged me $936. They told me their hourly rate was $104, but I don't think they spent 9 hours on it. In any event, the electrical system still doesn't work and the battery is still draining, so I paid almost $900 (gave me a AAA discount) to have some wires replaced, but that's it. I was hoping that I found a local mechanic to work on my cars, when I didn't want to, or couldn't, do the work myself. I suppose not. The dealer would probably be cheaper in the long run. They were all very nice, though, but I won't be going back.Update: I didn't bring the bike back to Flynn because I didn't want to spend another $900 to have it still not work, but thanks for the suggestion.

Great, honest company! They saved me money on front brakes I didn t need to get fixed and instead they did a more thorough review of my car and found a swaybar that needed to be replaced before our long road trip.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

I was in need of 2 vehicle inspections before the end of the month and this was one of the closest inspection stations to us. Not only did they schedule with us for that same week, they were very kind and professional. I used to fix my own cars before I got sick with health problems and now it s always a frustrating experience to go to a shop. it s nice to know you can go here and not be taken advantage of. I was visiting here from Vermont and got a screw in my tire. I looked for a tire repair shop and they appeared in the search with high reviews. I stopped in and explained my situation and they took me right in, removed the screw and plugged the tire.All the personnel I dealt with were very pleasant, courteous and really seemed to want to be helpful so you have a good experience with them.If I was a local here, I would definitely use them for my automotive repair needs!The waiting area was comfortable and the bathroom very clean.Services: Steering & suspension replacement, Vehicle Inspection, Wheel alignment, Auto maintenance

I had a flat tire and was heading home that day. They took me right away and unfortunately the tire couldn't be fixed as the nail punctured the sidewall so I needed a new tire. They ordered a new tire and as soon as it arrived put it on my car and I was on my way. They were friendly and very accommodating. My daughter also had used them and was very impressed. I would highly recommend Flynn Automotive and Tire.Service: Tires

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Flynn Automotive & Tire in Narragansett! Ruth made my appointment and she was so kind to me, also very understanding about our crazy schedules. Mike went above and beyond for us and provided consistent, A+ customer service. The repairs made were done properly, in a timely manner and we are very happy with the end result. I highly recommend Mike and the entire team at Flynn for your car needs! Professional, friendly staff! Been taking my vehicle here for 10+ years and have always been satisfied. They tell me what needs immediate attention and what needs to be done in 4-6 mos. Cost is reasonable and I like giving local businesses a try. We are new to the area and our daughter is away at college and her car was due for inspection. A few local friends had recommended we go to Flynn Automotive. Our experience was absolutely perfect! When I called to schedule the appointment, it was easy and convenient. When I dropped the car of they were kind enough to offer drive me home. I always bring my car to Flynn Automotive. I know I can trust them to do a great job no matter how big or small a project it may be. They are honest, knowledgeable, and the pricing is more than fair. Mike, in the front office always does his best to work around your schedule, and Vin, the owner always remembers me and greets me by name. I have referred many people to Flynn and all have had great experiences as well; I would not hesitate to do so again. Really, one of the best mechanics/shops in the Narragansett area.

I have been having my elderly car repaired and maintained at Flynn's for many years. Beside the excellent service, they are careful about finding problems and letting me know so I can decide whether to repair them. Whenever I have found a problem after picking up my car, they take it in immediately to check and remediate. On top of all that, these are the most considerate, professional and friendly people with whom to do business. I was referred to Flynn automotive by a friend who highly recommend this shop. I definitely know why, their professionalism, prices, staff, & attention to fix it right & not make excuses to squeeze more money out of the customer was incredible.I will be a returning customer & would highly recommend this shop if anyone asks "do I know a good mechanic".I had a suspension lift installed on my truck and it came out incredible. Job was way more labor intensive than what the kit suggested, Vinny showed me all replaced parts and I knew immediately this was a bigger job than we anticipated.Final result was an amazing job, truck looks awesome, rides great & very happy I was recommended to Flynn.

My wife and I have been bringing it vehicles here for years. They get you in and out quick and have always been honest when it comes to what is truly needed vs what most mechanics make you believe is needed. They let you know the situation and and give you the information you need to make an informed decision regarding what's getting done. Multiple times I thought we were going in for a huge expenditure and they got us out the door with a fairly inexpensive visit. Honesty goes a long way when you are at the mercy of an expert and these guys are about as honest as they come.

I would, and do, recommend Flynn Automotive to all of my friends and family. The employees are courteous, professional and reliable. The prices are in-line, or sometimes even less expensive(!), than other tire & auto repair places that I have heard about from other people. I have never had an issue with a repair that was done at Flynn and I will continue to bring my car to them.

I wish every mechanic treated their customers the way Flynn does. I have taken my car to Flynn's twice now, both times I was greeted warmly and ask to describe the problem with the car and reassured that they would diagnose what was going on quickly. Within a few hours I received a call describing the problem, the remedy and asked what I'd like to do. I never felt pressured into spending more money than I was comfortable putting into the car. Once I agreed to the repairs the car was done a few hours later and I was notified. I've never had such a great experience with a mechanic where I'm not questioning the motives for the repairs. Flynn's makes you feel like a valued customer and that they care about your car just as much as they care about their own. I can't recommend Flynn's enough for any mechanic needs.

I had an incredible experience bringing in my car for brakes, tires, alignment and troubleshooting a noise. The owner took a ride with me to identify the problem and diagnosed the issue during the drive. I was impressed by the amazing customer service, how clean and organized the shop and waiting areas were and how honest and upfront everyone was with prices and time frames...top notch service and I will definitely be returning.

I have gotten my car serviced at Flynn's twice now have been very satisfied both times. As a URI college student living away from home it's hard to find a reliable shop to bring my car to but I'm very happy with the experience I've had here. Great customer service, quality work and everything is done in a very timely and organized fashion. Highly recommend!

We were on vacation in Narragansett and noticed we had a flat tire. I looked online and Flynn automotive had one of the best reviews. I was very happy I made the choice. The crew at Flynn Automotive were great! They were able to get us in right away and patch the tire up in 20 minutes! It s awesome to see a local business that is very committed to customer service.Waiting room was comfortable with complimentary WiFi and TV. Wheelchair accessible with a ramp to welcome office.Thanks again Flynn automotive for smoothing out this little bump in our vacay!Will definitely recommend your services!!!

I had first gone some place else and right away they were pressuring me into fixing a couple things and ordering a new battery. I was put off because I knew my 2014 car did not need any work. On the advice of a couple people, I then went to Flynn Automotive the same day without an appointment. I was out of there in 30 minutes with my inspection sticker! They recommended changing my wipers, which I bought from them, because I knew they were in poor conditions.I did not feel pressured into getting them there. They did tell me my car was in "great condition" and didn't need any repairs.
