I've been coming here for years and everyone I have ever encountered has always been extremely respectful and nice. I went there this morning for an oil change, radiator fluid change and wipers. The team this morning was great! You can tell everybody gets along and everybody had hands on deck. They inform you of everything they are doing and they answered all my questions. Great team in Johnston!

My experience at Valvoline Instant Oil Change. I had an incredible visit and wanted to share my thoughts.First of all, I was impressed with the level of service I received. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. They were attentive to my needs and answered all of my questions with patience and expertise.The service itself was top-notch. The team worked efficiently and completed my oil change in a timely manner. I appreciated their attention to detail and the thoroughness with which they inspected my vehicle. Service was perfect and Lucas did a phenomenal job at making it easy for me and he got my truck in and out and ready to go. I m not positive if he s the manager or not but if he should be in charge and definitely get a big raise. I never had better service from anyone at a Valvoline then from Lucas.

I went on a Saturday morning 3/30/24 the guy said I had a major problem that my oil was spilled all over my engine that I had a major leak & if I drove to much my car can catch on fire..He Told me he knew a great mechanic that I should go to him right away.. Which I'm glad I didn't listen to his advice because I only trust my mechanic..I missed my family plans CX a major medical appointment to take my car to my mechanic today when my mechanic had me look..I was pissed to no end!! I was so nervous to look for myself which I should have done so..My engine was clean there was NO LEAKS NO SPILL what so ever!! I've been going to vaveline on post road for the last 6 years & NEVER had an issue..Needless to say I will NEVER go to valvoline on Putman Pike EVER!!. The guy on Putnam Pike definitely was trying to con me Cause I'm a woman..Send me to his friend's garage So they can share their profits.. Wish I knew your name But I always count on karma what comes around goes around and you'll have yours coming.. If you take your car to Putman Pike and something goes wrong definitely get a second opinion before going to any recommended mechanics they offer you!!BE WARE OF THERE CONS!!

Brought my 2022 truck here for a quick, simple oil change. And they were more concerned about reading the voltage of my battery and trying to sell me wiper blades then providing a service that I wanted. Then they forgot to reinstall my dipstick and now my engine is covered in oil. This has caused my erg sensors to go bad, and has ruined my garage floor. I hate all of you idiots. I should of trusted my gut when the employees could barely speak English and didn't know how to remove an oil filter. Thanks for ruining my $50k truck and garage floor with oil stains everywhere.

All I heard was racial slurs no professionalism they also had an issue with me American flag on my car. Having three of them and walk by and stare. If you want your car fkd up, take it here!They will give you an oil change, but fail to tell you when they start so your hybrid will be running the whole time. Oh and they will also not screw your skid plate in so it will look like this after. See attached photo.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

Very professional set of staff, made great recommendations and made me feel very comfortable with my oil change experience. One member that stood out to me was a ( Orlando Rivas ). He answered all my questions and told me the difference of types of oils for my car. Im definitely coming back to this location especially because of Orlando and the rest of the staff

BEWARE - SCAM ARTIST and harassment!!! Wife went to get oil change alone and they harassed her to no end. Insisted she needed a new air filter and her brake fluid was "dangerously low". After arguing for 20 minutes with two service clerks who wouldn't give up, she told them she is taking the car to the dealership. They then stopped harassing her and changed their story. They originally listed that she need all of these factious things but when they gave her the final receipt they listed the customer needed nothing. All because they knew she was taking the car to the dealership. So how could a car that was "dangerous" be listed as "checked-ok" on the sales receipt? Mind you, this is a brand new car on only its second oil change. The pics prove she needed nothing. The break fluid is right at the "full" mark, so they blatantly lied to her making her feel unsafe so she would give them money for doing nothing at all. The air filter is brand new as well, as you can plainly see. SCAM!!!!

Great service as always. My techs were Alvin and Lucas. I was impressed that rather than simply telling me that my car was due for additional services, the techs explained to me how those additional services would benefit my specific car. I Ended up just turning around and leaving without getting an oil change. I never seen anything like this place, there had to have been 10 to 12 grown up men in this place and most didn't seem to no what to do next but they were sure heck was going on.

This is an outstanding location. I pulled up, was instantly greeted and told where to go and how long the wait would be. While I waited, I witnessed a group of professional and efficient employees working together to service the cars already in the three bays. When it was my turn, the service was just as impressive and efficient. My lead technician was friendly, funny and really nice. She walked me through the process, explained what I need for my vehicle and what she would be doing each step of the way. I literally wanted to be able to add a tip to my bill because the job was done and done well. This will be my permanent location for oil changes and automotive services moving forward, and I will recommend to others that they do the same. Thank you!Service: Oil change

Wow! I had to write this review today because the service was so amazing! Derrick explained that I was in need of new wipers and which oil would be best in my car, and he really took care of everything! He even helped me apply my coupons! He was so nice, charismatic, and his team was impressive in their ability to complete my oil change and filter changes in about 25 minutes! Amazing! I will continue to be a customer for sure! I got that uneasy feeling from the moment I pulled in. The gentleman leaned over (pretending?) and said I have a horrible oil leak. (I did not) There's no way he could've seen under my car from that angle, so that concerned me. Then he recommended NOT having an oil change performed because it would make the leak worse. (How?!?) But my 5k miles were due and I needed it, so I said go ahead. And then the gotcha... reportedly out of conventional oil, and I'd have to spend $80 on super-duper synthetic. NOPE! I left and went to the Cranston location on Reservoir Ave where I had an excellent experience. All done in 20 minutes and they confirmed NO oil leak whatsoever.

Maybe if the employees were more worried about changing oil and not having irrelevant personal conversations my oil changed wouldn t have taken an hour. Valvoline hires really unprofessional people, do better.

Brought my 2015 fiat 500 to this Valvoline. Spoke with a rude gentleman who said they don t do my car. I ve previously had my oil changed at Valvoline and then called the location in Cranston who stated they should do it. Don t waste your time at this location go to the Cranston one.

They always force you to do all of the recommendations and it makes no sense, they give you no breathing room. And the majority of the technicians there don't know what they're doing. And I'm always asking myself why do I have to always replace the oil drain plug every time I come to Valvoline the one in Johnston. If they can't do a simple oil change then how can I even trust them doing a tire rotation, yet they want to touch the transmission and do a flush. And they can't follow basic orders like when I say do not add coolant into my reservoir because it takes Dex-Cool yet they do it anyways and don't honor my request. Which is why I stopped going to Valvoline in 2020 and now I service the vehicle myself.Services: Transmission, Oil change

95 year old Mom tried to have her oil changed. Waited 45 minutes only to be told they could do an upgrade oil change, but if she wanted standard oil, (which is what the car calls for), she had to go to another location), about 10 miles away. This has happened to me, twice, now her.Sounds to me like an up-sell technique, huh? If they don t have standard oil, they should have a sign up, rather than have customers wait that long. I m sure MOST customers would just say, ok, do the up-grade. My point. Just sayin .

George the assistant manger is very professional and helpful. I have a Range Rover and I had numerous questions and he was more then willing to answer them all. He went above and beyond and even applied an additional discount to my pricey oil change. This will be my new location for alll oil changes in the future! $50 dollars less than the Range Rover dealer also! Walking away a very happy customer!Service: Oil change
