Will not use. Awful attitude and customer service. Will try gaslighting you on when you set your appointment. 1200 dollars of repairs and the clowns forgot to put transmission fluid in so it blew up the next day. Monroe on Atwood is a much better choice.

Transparent, timely, professional, trustworthy . Fantastic experience here, I can t say that about other places. They replaced front braking system and inspected In a few hours. Highly Recommend Ocean State auto. Thanks guys!

If you want the job done right these guys are the best. Kyle is the best mechanic, he s a genius and him and Randall are the most versatile mechanics I ve ever met. Not to mention Wayne at the front desk is just so helpful and such a pleasure working with. I ve never even thought about going somewhere else after finding there shop

Wayne and Kyle are amazing to work with. Amazing professional mechanics who know their stuff. Definitely a shop that focuses on quality and customer service, and their work shows. Prices are fair. Some people say it's slightly more than other local shops, but these guys go the extra mile to make sure the repairs are done correctly and take as much time as needed for repairs. To us that's what matters to keep our car running. They're transparent about their pricing and they do the job right.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection

Top notch customer service. Kyle and Wayne are great people. I have been getting work done here for 5 years on 3 different vehicles since I moved to RI for college. The work is Honest and the quality is great because they do not use cheap parts for repairs. Very Reasonable prices for the quality and honesty you get which is hard to find with mechanics. 100% Recommend. I bring all my vehicles to Oceanstate Auto. The level of service I receive here is top notch. The owner Kyle is a great guy who not only runs the front office but also works on your cars/trucks. Everytime I bring my car or van to be repaired has been a wonderful experience from price to finished in a timely manner. No price gouging just straight honest pricing. I brought my car there for tires. Kyle the owner and the tech Rando recommended Toyo tires. They efficiently installed them for me in no time, and my 2008 Saturn rides like a brand new car. Thought it took long to out on tires , they proved otherwise. Kyle is great. Very fair and competitive pricing. Would certainly recommend and trust them.

I have been going to Ocean State Auto Repair since they opened. I dropped my car off for three things and ended up on being two things instead. No any other place could have taken advantage of me and did all three things instead i was informed that I had a loose low beam and it didn't need to be changed. I also had a tire that could either be plugged or a new tire put on and once again the tire was able to be plugged! When I walked though these doors years ago in knew I was in good hands! Kyle is honest, great prices and they and they can be trusted! They always do right by the customer, they are family! Thank you again Kyle for another good experience!

I brought my car here because my check engine light came on and I didn t know why. Upon entering, the place is wicked clean and modern and the staff were very friendly. After taking my car for a test drive, it was determined that my spark plugs and ignition needed to be changed. Kyle was extremely helpful in answering any questions I had and the work was reasonably price. I will definitely spread the word about this place to others. The best part is that is just down the street from my house. I m glad I found this place for all of the auto repair needs. This will be my go to spot.

Best auto mechanic hands down! My Rav4 broke down in Johnston on Friday and my regular trusted mechanic is in Coventry. Called them to see if they could squeeze me in and was told they would try, but couldn't guarantee enough time to fix it since they are closed weekends. Decided to check locally and found that Ocean State had a lot of good reviews. That's all I had to go on, but had no choice. I called and was told they'd take a look. Let me just tell you that the entire experience, while stressful, was excellent! They took it in right away. They explained what happened and gave me the estimate. It was going to be expensive, but he gave me a good price. Thankfully, I had purchased a warranty that covered both parts and labor and they worked with the provider to get everything done. Not only did I have my car back and running, but when I picked it up on Sunday the darned air tire light was finally off. Sounds like a little thing, but I had already filled all my tires and my car had been looked at twice by two different places and the stupid light was never fixed. I like attention to detail! I found them honest, reliable professional, and friendly. As I was driving home, I was thinking that they may just get my business for everything, even though the ride is longer, it would be worth it!

Kyle is professional and honest. Took my 2013 Rav 4 in for service since my last 6 month service thinking I would need a number of things done. Kyle told me since I had only put on 1500 miles since last service oil change and tire rotation wasn t needed at this time. He asked do you need anything else? I asked if he could check the life of my brakes and tires. He did that and adjusted the tire pressure. Asked what I owed him and he said nothing have a nice weekend. Offered him some money and he wouldn t take it. Highly recommend this repair facility. Honest and do good work.

Pulled into Ocean State one day shortly after they opened on my street I've lived on for 30+ yrs..just wanted to ask them a question. He answered everything I asked without getting aggravated like most auto shops. Offered me a great price too I was shocked because the place looks so nice. The place is clean and organized and I've come here ever since. No issues, no drama, no inflated prices. Just a private owner keeping his customers happy and I'm one of them. Thanks buddy. 5 stars.

We moved to Johnston from Nevada and brought our car to Ocean state garage and were treated like a king and queen !! Very honest very reliable and above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you Ocean State Garage we strongly recommend your service to everyone we know and don t know!!!!

Got my 2015 Audi A3 inspected in minutes, and had a great conversation with Kyle! Very clean and comfortable waiting room, and all employees are polite, and pleasant to speak to! And their work is quick and efficient! Thanks Guys :)!

Awesome mechanics! Kyle is the go to guy when you need something looked at or repaired. I've brought my car to him a few times and he's always had the work done by the time I get out of work and cheeper then what other shops want.

I stopped in for an oil change on a rainy day. The mechanic I typically use is rude and arrogant for some reason. So I thought I would try someone new. Total professionals at their trade, fast polite & great service ! I highly recommend these gents.

I went to Toyota to have a checkup and they quoted me $900 for some type of leaking issue. I try other small shops and found ocean state. these guys are life savers. they offered top notched service . turns out, it s a minor problem and toyota took advantage of me. They held high ethical standard in terms of business transaction.

Ocean State Auto Repair fixed a minor issue on my car that Grieco Honda incorrectly identified and told me I would be spending hundreds of dollars to repair. I am so grateful for the guys here walking me through the issues with my car and what was being done to fix the issues. I am very please with this place I found through the website. Base on the reviews others have posted I had to check it out and give it a try and it s true I was able to have my car look at that same day and fix.The mechanic was very professional and honest and wasn t out to take advantage of me. I will continue to go back for any other car issues
