M.G. Motors has provided us with by far the worst car buying experience my wife and I have ever experienced. Whatever the reply from the dealer for this review it will be obsolete, just to warn the readers of this review. Simply put, we bought a car from this dealership and in less than two weeks the engine needed to be completely replaced, costing us the value of the vehicle over again. Two mechanics verified the need for engine replacement, one of the mechanics I ve been a customer with for over 15 years and he even denied the job, so he stood to gain nothing from the diagnosis. That said, both mechanics found irrefutable evidence the issue with the engine was preexisting, and a cover-up attempt was made before the sale of the vehicle. To top it off, the warranty provided by the dealership insisted that the entire engine to be taken apart, a job that would cost 2700, all so we could receive the 2000-dollar coverage AND if the issue was found to be preexisting, they would not cover any of it.Please stay away from this dealership. This is not an example of bad luck but an obvious scam. I would like to say too, that if the vehicle s odometer is over 100k there is no recourse from the state. NO LEMON law to protect the buyer, YOU WILL BE STUCK WITH THE VEHICLE!

Overall great experience. David and Marc helped me through the whole process from beginning to end and answered all my questions in between. I felt like I d known them for years and nothing fake. I did not feel pressured or persuaded. I bought a 2010 Dodge Ram low mileage, in excellent condition. Perfect addition to my fleet. It was one of the most pleasant and easy truck purchases in my 25 years of buying trucks for my business. I will definitely be doing more business with M.G. Motors.

I had bought a car here a few years ago so I came back to look again. We were assisted by Marc (the son) but I've never been as disappointed with a car salesman before. He was cold and unhelpful. When we drove the car he never said a word except, turn left here or turn right here. He truly acted as if he had no desire to sell us the car. Back at the dealership, I liked the car and was seriously considering buying - but felt the car was a bit overpriced. I said, "Let's talk about the price" and Marc replied, "That IS the price". I asked if he would budge at all and he said No. I replied, "Then I guess we're all set". Marc quickly stood up and said, "Sounds like a plan!" and walked out of the room leaving us sitting at his desk. I was shocked. I've never encountered a car salesman as rude as Marc. I'll never return here again. UPDATE: We ended up buying a car 2 weeks later at another dealer. The car was actually the exact same model Subaru, same year, same color, and almost the same mileage, but for $1100 less.FOLLOWUP: My above review was written in 2019, but since then I see that Reviews of MG Motors seem to be equally split between 5 stars or 1 star. Quite a discrepancy! Also interesting is that the owner only seems to respond to the Negative reviews, and is always quite defensive. Not sure if they're learning anything about improving customer service flaws. Best wishes.

They had a car close to exactly what we were looking for. The price was a bit more than we wanted to pay, but it always is, right! There were a couple of minor things that were noticed on the test drive that were taken care of before we picked the car up the next day. Excellent walk through on the paperwork.Father and son business. Dad sold us the car and his son put all the paperwork together.Third party mechanic went all through the car and was very impressed...

Very unhelpful. Not willing to work with me. Hopefully they sit on their used cars for a while. I looked at two seperate cars. When I asked about a warranty. The was none. I also asked about price and was td there was no room to move due to the price of used cars and lack of inventory. I think before the owner puts anyon blast here he should actually know what the details are. I didn't respnd to an email I never received. I drove down there instead to have a look at the car with my own eyes. I wish I had kept the card I was given so I could call this guy out by name!

When the owner told me 2 monitors were not ready (these are monitors the ecu uses to verify whether the emissions portion of an inspection pass/fail) I knew something was up.There were 2 problems with the car, both of which could be major. The first was a massive oil leak. They told me they had just done an oil change, by the time I got home from their shop the car was down a quart of oil and the dash was instructing me to add 1 quart. At first I thought it was the gasket located between the block and alternator bracket. This also houses the oil filter and oil pressure sensor. Luckily after buying the gasket and starting the work I found the sensor itself was bad. Easy fix. The plastic portion of the censor had become loose and oil was pumping out through it.The second issue is the ecu is displaying code p0299. This code is for the turbo. Low boost. This can be many things, although oil in the tubing for the intercooler is making me believe it is a bad seal inside the turbo, which cannot really be fixed. A new turbo which cost roughly $1000 will be the proper fix. Although I am still investigating. For a person to tell me they have been in business 52 years, it would seem as though some cannot learn ethics. What upsets me about the situation is they manually cleared the codes stored on the ecu, drove the car just enough for the ecu to store enough history to get it to pass the inspection. This is something premeditated and done to hide an issue. I know in my line of work that would be illegal. In RI, car dealers have a very wide gray area. Unfortunately you can see these monitors prior to sending the report to the state. So they would deny it and we would run in circles and it would end up costing me more in loss of work and attorneys fees to have them fix it.If you go here to purchase a vehicle, take someone who knows their stuff and/or take it to your mechanic to have them check it.In the end I got a car I wanted. I will have to put money into it, but overall it is a solid car.To be fair I will say that I didn t bother contacting them about these issues, with the type of issues at hand I was certain they would either ignore the request or start with the excuses. What I did was rip off their shops sticker from my trunk lid. I wont advertise for a shop that hides problems and knowingly spoofs the inspection process. They should have it suspended at the very least for that nonsense.

Not a great experience. Gave me the classic runaround of yep that car won t be here long and I got a bunch of people coming to look at it tonight . And, he said the oil had been changed on the car I was looking at even though it was definitely used oil when I checked it wish the car salesman was actually looking out for the buyer once in awhile.

Bought a $10,000 car here in September of 2020 that was supposed to be gently used and in good condition. A month in a half later the engine failed. Towed it to the mechanic and found out there was a bad part that totaled the engine. Also learned all 4 tires were dry rotted, inside bulbs needed to be replaced, and sun roof was leaking. MG motors took 0 responsibility, nor did they apologize for there lack of proper inspection. Warranty company associated with MG motors was awful. They did not show up for inspection on agreed date, took forever, and when they finally showed they spent three hours taking pictures. They tried to doc $100 to come a second time even though our mechanic held the failed part in his hand while it was being documented. Warranty company only agreed to cover $967 for failed part. They wouldn't take responsibility for the engine damage caused by said part. SIX MONTHS, about $6,000 dollars, 4 DMV trips, and multiple phone calls later we have our car back. We've had 6 months of one car to get two people to separate jobs, as well as to clinical (school). Unless you know what your looking at and want a car solely for its (possibly broken) parts.. do not buy from here. If you do, don't be surprised when a budgeted 10,000 dollar car turns into a 16,000 dollar car that you cant drive for half a year.

This is the lowest possible star I could give them. I would not recommend that anyone ever buy a vehicle from these con artist I purchased a used vehicle from here this summer only to find out its a lemon . The ownerLied about any question I had asked him about this vehicle. And of course after I paid for it come to find out there were radiator problems there were brake problems there were other problems but the owner kept saying that there's nothing wrong with the vehicle. He Lied about every question that I asked him a lesson well learned no more used car lot's ever

Poor customer service from the owner. A lot of mis communication. Very impatient when it comes to him selling a vehicle. Kind of glad I didn't get the vehicle because it makes me wonder how honest or dishonest he actually is with people.

They were very friendly. Had some nice vehicles. My sister in law bought a 2011 Murano and it is gorgeous! There was a little problem with the exhaust and they are fixing it. Very nice people. I would recommend them.

I found the car buying experience at MG Motors outstanding. Many vehicles to choose from. In fact, the person took me car shopping, is returning to purchase their next vehicle at MG Motors. I am glad i took a chance, and did not heed to any negative reviews. I got the automobile I wanted at an incredible price. Thanks guys.

These guys were just awesome to buy a car from. They made the process incredibly simple, allowed us to take the car to our mechanic to have it looked at and were just incredibly patient with questions or concerns, they even helped me with the DMV work and explained what I had to bring with me and what I would be asked to fill out. They were very quick to reach via the phone and email and it was just how every buying experience should go. Highly reccomend these guys!

I've buying cars here for the past 15 years, and there has never been an issue with the quality of service provided. David & Mark run a very down-to-earth business, and you can count on them to always do thing right thing for their customers...

Reviews are correct. Extremely rude. Just got interrupted and hung up on my the dealer who said he had something more important to deal with. Shocked, offended. They don't understand relationships are business.

Great people to buy from they are as honest as the sun is bright I have checked out two cars for family members here and they bought them. Now it's a year later and no problems on either one of them. If your looking for a shined up shitbox go elsewhere.

had a bad experience, took appointment for 8:00 AM today for emission inspection, was told technician is not available and it would take 3-4 hrs to have this test done. i was surprised..the man told me that they will drop me to my office ..Waited in the office for 10 mins and then 1 man came shouting, we wont provide any pickup drop facility. The whole test will take more than 1.5 hrs..let me know what you want to do..They dont know how to talk to customers..please avoid..

I bought a car and stupidly did not get an independent inspection. The car had engine problems so severe it would cost me half the price to repair the vehicle. Do not trust this place!
