Stopped buy this location recently for new windshield wipers. A lovely woman named Jamie waited on me. The store was a little busy and I really didn t know what I was doing. She was a great help. Was very patient and knowledgeable and to my surprise even installed them for me. So nice to see a helpful personable gal working in an auto parts store. She is a true gem.

The Experience I had yesterday with Jamie was amazing. She was very helpful and help me with my mothers defective battery. As a women who didn t know what I was doing or needed to have another women be so helpful and knowledgeable was great!! We need more women like Jamie she really deserves to be recognized. I don t always write reviews but for me to take the time out of my day, this was much needed and she deserved it. Thank you again for all your help. I definitely will be back.

I usually don t leave reviews, but this one deserved positive attention I went in to buy a battery for my nephews quad I had bought it used with a dead battery.. the owner told me what battery to buy.. I went into your store, Jamie had waited on me, I told her exactly what I needed in conversation she had asked what I was buying it for and she said it didn t sound right she then looked it up for me and said it was the wrong one if she hadn t took the extra time and been so friendly, I would have purchased the wrong item and wasted a great deal of time and money! If more stores had a Jamie all my errands would run so smoothly!!!

I can't believe that almost every time I visit they are out of stock on the items I am looking for. So t find them to be very helpful or knowledgeable in this particular store. I assume it must just be this store as I have had much better luck getting the items I'm shopping for at other locations.

Terrible customer service. Bought some oil this morning. Expected to pay the price marked. They charged me a dollar extra. When I questioned it they said I would need a time machine to get the price marked on the shelf. Incredibly utterly rude guy at the cash register said he was the manager. This store can't keep its prices updated and then expects the customer to pay for their mistake . There have to be at least 5 other auto parts stores within a 1/2 mile radius. I will never go to this one again. The guy even went back and checked the shelf and acknowledged his mistake.

Tyler and Chris went above and beyond to help me. They warrantied my product, installed the new one in the cold, and even swapped it for a different one after the original wasn't securing properly. They provided stellar customer service and I left feeling good and safe about future travel! Would recommend this location above any competitor for sure!

Went to this location On 1 -4 -23 I go inside nobody's at the counter waited about 7-8 minutes before somebody came out I asked if he can look up the size of my brake line he said he can't look it up I have to ask a mechanic I said you're a part store I'm looking up a part I don't know what you need you can go in the back and look and he actually brought me in the back to look at a bunch of brake lines It didn't help me genius because I don't know the size so I go online and look and sure enough I found the size on their website Look if they're not gonna do there job I'll work there part time for them

HiI wanted an item and your website said I should call the store to order. I called the local store at 550 Hartford Ave, Providence, RI 02909 and Ricardo said that the item is not available in store but he can place a order. He took my name and phone number and confirmed that the order placed on 05/20 and that the item will be ready to pick up on 05/21. I then called three different times on 05/21 and each associated made me wait on phone for more than 10 minutes and after that saying the item is not there. They did not check the status of the order. I called again on 05/22 and after waiting for 15 minutes another associate said the item is not available and on my asking him to check the status of my order, he said either the original order was not placed or the item has not arrived and hung up on me. I called again and after another 10 minutes of wait I spoke to a manager named Jose. I told him my poor experience with this order and he said the original person who placed the order should have taken payment, He said will get to the bottom of this and call me back in 10 minutes. After waiting for 1.5 hours and not receiving any call, I called the store back, I was made to wait on phone for 15 minutes after which Jose said he is checking and put me again on hold for another 15 minutes and then the call died. I cant believe I wasted more than an hour of my life waiting and calling and going through the frustration for a simple $5 item. Such a poor experience with no result...they have no value of peoples time.... I hate to say this but I am not going to shop at your store again and will ask my friends and family to stay away. Great customer service. Most times I come here the parts are in stock, however they are very high on their prices so only come here when I really need something that I didn't plan for getting elsewhere at a better price. The parking lot could use some updating it's dark and dingy at night.

My car was at a Nissan service department earlier that day because of a couple of issues. One being I needed a new battery. I decided to visit advance auto part for the battery since my experience at the Nissan service department was extremely painful plus I knew I also needed wipers. Elicia who attended me was so helpful, answered all my question, gave me suggestions and did a thorough great job replacing my battery and wipers. It was a pleasant and enjoyable experience dealing with her. After the experience I had with the Nissan service dept it was great to run into the customer service that Elicia offered at Johnston advanced auto parts.

Long over due review here.......A few months ago I stopped in and Tyler( I'm pretty sure that was his name, guy from Texas out of military???) helped me out. Quickly I might add. Thanks again

I stopped in for the first time the other night, finally purchased my first car! I was unsure what type of oil I needed and had a few other questions. Elicia & Jamie both went above and beyond to answer my questions! They were extremely polite and professional. This Johnston location is the only place I go when I need anyting for my car.

I went to return starter for the core deposit on 4/30/18 - 6:15pm. I had Bee wait on me and he was pleasant and had a good attitude. My very very poor service didn t happen until Bee had to call over the Manager Josh to help him with the transaction. During the exchange between Bee and Josh, Josh asked me a question and when I said I didn t have the original receipt - I bought the item on-line/had the print out/ License/Credit Card to which the original purchase was used - he then said slyly said Of course you don t and then dismissed me with a sigh and proceeded to talk down to Bee about how needs to do these types of transactions....Needed less to say I wasn t very happy with his remark and made sure he knew it....but he didn t even care enough to turn around when I asked his for his name. I have been a very loyal customer with Advance Auto for some years have never been treated like this in the past. Sadly, I will remember this one and remember it when people ask me about buying parts.Good luck with this guy...or avoid him if you can...you ll be glad you did.

Store was pretty busy and well stocked and clean. The guys there were nice. Sucks they had to deal with some impatient lady who was screaming at the older man.

Store manager needs to learn what good customer service is. I've been in retail for over 15 years and usually when a customer has a problem with something that is purchased fairly recently, I would listen,evaluate the issue and try to help the customer as best I could. This was not the customer service I received at the Johston location. Its your job to help customers, not tell them you cant do anything about a defective product that was sold. Stand by your product! Dont make people waste their hard earned money. Do your job.

Completely horrible rude cashier a neighbor of mine was a counter before me and I saw how rude his answer was to my neighbor that I was afraid to ask my question when it was my turn, I asked if they had a tool or way of checking what fuse I needed to buy and he snapped at me and said we do not work on cars. He needs to be fired. Very very rude, I hope the brand new Oriellys being built up the street has better staff because I will never go back into Johnston Advance Auto Parts.

Advance Auto Parts on North Main Street was very good and nice to me they mixed me a 2 ounce bottle of paint for my old car it was like $20 wasn't bad it's good it's been that goes on easy and it dries hot give Advance Auto Parts your business today thank you

Advance Auto Parts in Johnston Rhode Island is the best of Vance Autoparts in the state of Rhode Island any time you go in there the people are very willing to help you and a very very knowledgeable in what they are doing every time it is a pleasure going in there because I get what I want quickly because their staff knows exactly what they're doing Alicia is very courteous and knowledgeable in what she's doing

Just spent 15 mins waiting in the store to cash out only person doing anything was the young lady in the parking lot helping a older lady with her car who knows what everyone else was doing.... could hear them talking but noone came out to help myself and the other 3 people waiting.... left everything there will buy from someone else.

AAP are not only helpful with finding the parts I need but knowledgeable about the repairs I try to take on. They are always my go to auto part shop when I need a part or advice ASAP. I would recommend to anyone in the area who plans on doing some work on their own vehicle.
