Super friendly and very professional, I could not be more pleased with my experience. My engine completely seized and I feared the worst, but Ed was able to repair it and saved me lots of money and prevented a major headache. The worst auto place ed and his unprofessional son and BIG mouthed wife run it he quotes one price then doubled it then days discount with cash tho u never really know the price I had a safety issue he blew off my spot for no reason I went elsewhere had it fixed I reported him to safety and emissions do his reputation is doyr now don't go here he's nasty they yell and swear at you they are cheap dumb portigees I went somewhere where u get a free carwash with ur oil change and any other service included as well it's dirty and smelly as well the son never quotes prices they make them up he's a loosa working for daddy being rude and big porti wife trying to look like a bigger shot she's nooneService: Tires

I went in for a car inspection today, they were super nice and helpful. I wish I had gotten the man's name but it was really nice chatting with him, plus the inspection went by quick and simple! I'd definitely go here again.

Needed a steering box installed in a 46 year old custom van. I was told it would take 3 - 4 hours and made arrangements to drop it off the day before. Van was done before noon the next day! Very happy with the work, the price and the quickness in which the work was done. Will definitely go back for any needed work in the future.

I can't say thank you enough to the staff at TAK for all their help with getting my squared away. They went above and beyond to get my truck serviced and inspected. Their knowledge, service and professionalism are second to none. I really appreciate your efforts on my behalf. I would highly recommend TAK.

The lady receptionist was great. However, the man who did my state inspection scammed me. He told me there was a new law that went into effect Jan 2020 in RI that you cannot have a license frame around your license plate. He told me that my car will not pass inspection and he charged me to remove the license frame. Honestly, it felt fishy and I was targeted for being a woman at an auto shop. After I went home and googled it, the law states that your license plate needs to be visible. A simple frame around the license plate is fine. I won't be going back to them. Period.Edit: Here is my reply to the owners response below:The frame that was removed was a standard frame that Anchor of Subaru dealership placed on my license plate the last time I had an oil change. There was no obstruction in identifying my plate digits. It was not a home made frame. It was one of those standard frames that thousands of cars have around their plates.On another note, as I update my review I found another reviewer complaining about the same issue I had. Please read the review posted by Al DAImeida below.

I got my car inspected here. It took a little less than half an hour but they were friendly and efficient and I didn t have to leave and come back to get my car! Amazing!

I went to Tap Auto in Cumberland for a vehicle state inspection. Upon arriving I was greeted by a worker/owner not sure who stating that license plate frames in RI are illegal . I then asked him to remove it and he stated My tool, my time $10 . I asked him to borrow a screwdriver and did it myself . Upon doing some research plate frames are not illegal in RI unless you cannot read the plate. My frame was the standard frame put on by the dealer when the car was new . Not one number was obscured. Guess this is a quick way to make 10 dollars. This aside the woman in the office was very nice .

This mechanic shop can't change tires, which is extremely annoying since that's a basic service. I've been here before and had work done but I'm shocked about this since they scheduled my appointment but failed to tell me they don't perform this work.

Very good customer service and overall a great experience. From the moment we walked in, we were treated really good by their staff. It's hard to find a really good place like this nowadays, and I hope to be able to do business with them again in the future. Thank you!

Highly recommended!!! Fast inspections, easy to schedule, good service, very clean, nice enviroment. As a woman that dont like to go fix my car, this is a good place to go. Very honest people, tell the true if they can or cant fix it. They dont waste your time.

These guys know trucks. 6 months worth of issues that no one else could figure out, they had it done in 3 days. I will never bring my trucks to another shop again. I would say I'll be going back soon, but with how well my truck is running I don't think I'll need to.
