My family was going on a vacation up north and I realized we had an issue with a tire. I called and got an appointment in a couple hours. Everything went quick and painless and we were off to vacation with safe tires and no delay in our schedule.. They did a fantastic job.My most recent trip was this past Saturday (4/6/24). I was able to get all new tires, oil change and an alignment all before noon. Jamie was fantastic with his service and was very knowledgeable by explaining the answers to my questions. It was perfect to go there on a Saturday and I didn't need to take time out of work either. Great Job.

I went online and looking for an inspection sticker location and I decided to pick Harold Crook's garage based on the reviews. When I get there, I meet Glen. He is very friendly, helpful, and polite. I have a tinted windows and helped me cut it off.Glen asked me for my car key I give it to him without touching his hand because he was wearing a latex glove which I'm allergic I told him and he respects it and removed it. I told him it's okay I'll clean my car after, but he still removed it. He said that he does not want me to get sick. As soon I walked into the garage, he greets me. To me, that speaks volumes. It shows appreciation for their customers. In addition, they started doing the inspection on my car right the way and it took about 30 minutes. Very pleased with everything. First time here and I love it. Highly recommended. God bless them and their business. Wow, I see why AAA also approved auto repair with them.

Always manage to find the problem and have the repair done on the same day. Honest and trustworthy. No matter the age of the vehicle, they will let you know if even a question of a potential safety issue. Even willing to hear a customer ask dumb question! Love these people. Always get a warm welcome, and genuine concern over any problem with my vehicle. Also have had a little preferential treatment being a nurse and having to go to work for 3pm, and they always had my car ready in time. Thanks team Harold Crook's !!! UPDATE: 12/5/23 Sad to Say Jim has sold the business quite awhile ago, I was told he still will be there on some days. The new owner so far kept the name, and also has another place In Warwick. J.Poulos" Automotive Center. So far service was for routine inspection and tire replacement. Glen is still there and I believe his nephew. Still had same day service and pricing may be a bit more, understandably with today's economics. Also see U-haul trucks in the back so probably rental of them is available.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

My car was brought to this shop for an electronic throttle controller replacement. They decided to install a non oem replacement for a variety of their own reasons and did not disclose this to the customer. 2 days after the job was completed by Harold crooks, the dashboard showed the electronic throttle control light. When we called to report this back to the shop, they asked us to drive it back to them. After several days, they reported back that although the light for the etc is showing, we shouldn't be concerned. A strange thing to say when the vehicle is showing that it needs to be checked. After they discussed this with Jeep, they determined that the issue was that the vehicle wasn't registering the non oem part appropriately, so they would need to get the oem part. Delays on these parts were estimated to come in on 9/17., and the shop stated they would call us if the part came in or if there's another update. We never received a call, and have had to prompt Bruce and Co for updates, even after establishing dates to check in with us by, because the part was estimated to arrive by a certain date. The last Eta was Dec 19, 2022, and we never received a call. I called today for an update, but Bruce isn't in and the staff don't know when he will be back. I'm supposed to call and hope to get an update if they can spare the time. Maybe my experience here isn't the norm for everyone, but they've certainly been consistent with how they've treated me.

The best garage I've ever been to. I went in for an inspection and some repairs, and the staff was so friendly and helpful. I needed new tires, and they had them delivered within an hour! A friend suggested I take vehicle there to look at nagging problem of right wheel clunking making a clunking sound when turning. I was visiting from TX and was glad to have someone finally figure out what was causing the issue. They saw it immediately and had both front springs and struts replaced. Vehicle was ready to pick up the next day and drove perfectly without anymore clunking. They also aligned it perfectly. Was a fair price for the work which was done exactly right. I didn t realize it but at sone point, there could have been a catastrophic failure if the spring broke. So glad this shop took care of it. Now I feel much safer, especially driving through the mountain roads. Great people and top notch repair work!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I came in needing my rotors and brake pads replaced. Jimmy and his team were honest, efficient and made the process super easy with their friendliness and patience. I'll definitely be coming back with any car troubles in the future!

My girlfriend and I had an appointment this morning to drop off our Lincoln MKX. The appointment was at 10 am , upon going to the appointment we had to get two kids ready and we even called the garage to confirm the appointment. Well after calling several times nobody pick up. We went in person and nobody was there, called and the phones weren't working on there end. No signs on the door indicating what is going on. They lost our business for good. Can't even get a call or some type of explanation on why there closed when we had an appointment!!!!

I don t know the name of the individual I was speaking too but they are completely racist I walked and got completely ignored for like 20 min I then proceeded to speak to someone because I needed and inspection and got nothing but attitude I then saw a white man walk up to the counter and it was like a whole other person appeared behind the counter. Would not recommend

There is snow all over the sidewalks 4 days ago and there is nowhere to park on either side of the street, you guys looked closed and I had to see someone in the building next-door to you for a total of 5 minutes due to an emergency that couldn t wait but when I came outside you already had someone ready to tow my car! Real compassionate business people you are! From now on if anyone asks I will encourage them NOT to use YOUR business!

I went to have my RI State Inspection done at Harold Crook's and I can easily tell you I did not regret it. Jim, Jeanette and Glen made me feel right at home and treated me like a human being. They were very quick - it only took 1 hour - and even helped me out by cleaning my front windshield of parking stickers from the previous owner. This garage has definitely earned my repeat custom and I will be coming back here soon to get my car serviced.It's a shame that the RI State Agencies take most of the money from inspections because the team here did all the legwork and therefore deserve most of the money raised from the inspection fee.

I have 6 vehicles including trucks and all repairs have been done quickly and without having to return for the same problem. Prices are very reasonable and the people are great to deal with. Jeanette and the guys at Harold Crook's could not be better people. As a female in my 20s who has limited knowledge on cars and car repairs, its so reassuring to know I have people I can trust here. They really treat you like family, they're honest and fair, and they have helped me avoid so much stress and fear over car repairs!If you are looking for a reputable shop - look no further and bring your car here!

I can t say enough nice things about this place or the people that work there, I called from New York City nervous I wasn t going to be able to find anything anywhere for availability and not only were they able to take care of me that day but they also help with several other issues involving my car, fair price is great service couldn t recommend a place more honestly.

I moved to RI and needed to get my car inspected. After a quick search I came across Harold Crook's - so glad I did! My car failed due to my car's computer systems not having reset in a timely manner after an innocuous errant sensor warning. Rather than dismiss me and my car and try and charge me for any unneeded repair, they gave me suggestions to trigger the computers, not once but twice and third time was a charm - in, out, passed inspection within 10 minutes (if that). All are so friendly, helpful, and HONEST, something not easily found when it comes to car repair. Thank you for everything!

Called the day before to schedule a inspection. When I arrived at the scheduled time of the appointment they had no record of it. They asked if I could leave the car and come back to pick it up because they had a lot going on... why would I leave my car for a job that takes 30min and I had an appt! There is no reason for me to have to leave the car. I took my business to another shop that saw me within the hour and had it done in 30min. Just moved to the area so was looking for a new place to get my car worked on.. I won t be back to the Crook garage

I have gone to Harold Crook's several times over the past few years for auto maintenance and car repairs. Jim runs a great shop and is always honest with every repair. They go out of their way to help people out when having car troubles and will even pick you up and/or drop you off to get your car serviced. Jeanette is great too, she always keeps the coffee hot! I recommend Harold Crooks for all car repairs and maintenance.

Went in for an inspection and they failed me for a license plate lightbulb and whatever other small thing they could find. The name of the business says it all. Crooks took my $55 and sent me on my way with a failed insp. I would not come back here again.

Awesome customer service. I have finally found a repair shop where I feel they are looking out for me. Shop prices are better than most and all work is completed correctly the first time within a reasonable time frame. If you are looking for a repair shop that always has the customer in mind this is the place. All and all a great run family business where everyone from the mechanics to the owners will make you feel like you have been going there for years.

Jim has saved me many times. He has saved me money, time and even my family vacation. I had plans to join my family at the end of the week and I was on the way to NY from Warwick. As soon as I hit the highway the lights on my dashboard went on. It was a friday and it was after 5pm so I figured I had no chance of getting anyone or meeting with my family for the weekend. Jimmy picked up the phone and told me to drive right over. He checked everything out and had me on my way within an hour. I created the problem and he fixed it right away. My wife and kids were happy I got to have a great weekend with them. Thanks Jim!

I needed an inspection. Of course I waited until the last minute. They got me right in. The woman I spoke to was so kind and empathetic. The gentlemen were polite, efficient and speedy. I would recommend to anyone.

One of the best Mechanic's in all of the North East! Saved one of my cars from the junk yard, fixed another problem on the fly prior to a vacation, and solved a problem my other mechanic couldn't... Jimmy is the Best!! Highly recommend.
