I m very impressed with how fast, affordable and honest they were helping my daughter with fixing her exhaust pipe. She called in the morning and brought it in after class. It was fixed in no time and her car was back up and running! I can t say enough good things knowing they were honest and fair with pricing while dealing with a young college student fixing her first car and not over charging her. We now have a go to spot for all the cars in our household for all of our Muffler/exhaust/brake needs. Thank you!

I was able to drive in and be helped the same day I called. On my way to the shop, my brake caliper seized. Within an hour and a half I was on my way home with good brakes and my exhaust welded up. Upon inspection they were great welds. Pricing was much better than average

Did an outstanding job fabricating and replacing worn out exhaust pipes on my truck. I called, he said come on down, showed me the problem and repaired it in 2 hours while saving me over $500 00. What's not to like.

Awesome way of fixing my 2008 kia sedona flex pipe . Very proper job. Saw guys do it on YouTube in Massachusetts and what a poor job compare to thus guy. Everyone must go if you want to save money in these times

Was able to get an opening same day for a custom exhaust on my Silverado for a fraction of the price of other shops. Looks good, sounds good! Only downside was the smell of weed near by.

Grade A service. Friendly and nice very easy going. Prices were great and with in reason. Brought my Honda Pilot for a flex pipe repair. I was in and out with in an hour. Recommend to anyone that needs exhaust or break service done.

I went there as soon as he opened with a noisy exhaust. He took it in right away. I was out of there in 15 minutes. My clamp bolt snapped and he fixed it right away. Happy customer. Thank you

my exhaust had visible and audible issues after i hit a speedbump. i brought it to this guy twice and he refused to work on it because "it's supposed to be like that". he also said my $2300 tanabe medallion catback was a "cheap exhaust". another place fixed it in an hour. this guy has no idea what he's doing at all

Very great service have brought many vehicles to him and had all my Friend's bring theres to him as well! Very cheap prices. He has a pipe bender, tips, stainless pipes the whole 9 yards. On top of it he usually gets things done either the same day or the next day. Highly recommend using American muffler he also does custom work. Had a custom made dual exhaust made for my 02 Ram.Service: Exhaust

5/11/19BEWARE. I went to American Muffler and Brake in Cranston Rhode Island to get an exhaust leak fixed. They told me it was my catalytic converter was bad. They gave me the price and I said fix it but he wanted cash I did not have the cash offered to pay with my credit card he said OK but charged me 20 dollars more to use the credit card. I gave them the extra 20.00 to use my credit card and they proceeded to do the work. I walked out into the shop to observe what was going on and I notice my catalytic converter on the ground and it was not defected like they stated and I also took my old converter with me when I left. It was the pipe after the converter that was bad. After they were finished I mention to them that they had hustle me into replacing a part that did not need to be replaced and that I was not ignorant as to what just happened. Please beware when dealing with these people if they did it to me they are doing it to everybody.

My car was making a lound noise when I accelerated. I was told by the dealership that the cars whole exhaust system needed to be changed which would be an expensive job.I came here on my dad's reccomendation (father knows best right?). The gentleman that I was talking to discovered that the cars flex pipe was leaking due to large cracks that's causing the noise. The flex pipe was the only section that needed to replaced and not the whole exhaust system.

Change me $100 and was $103 on my credit card. Wait 1 week for the clamp to come in I paid for. Never came in. He said got a clamp. He did the job without showing me the work or clamp. Got home. He just welded a rod to hold up exhaust.. $103 for a $30 job. Never go there ever again. Will tell people I know in Cranston what a rip off it is there.

I have had vehicles serviced since my first cat in 1971. I am used to small garages and owner mechanics. These guys, however, stand out.I met two incredibly nice mechanics and experienced excellent customer service. They took my 2015 Toyota van in immediately, inspected the brakes, and ordered in front and rear brake pads and rotors all around. They were very personable and friendly. The parts all arrived within 2 hours and they quickly and professionally installed them. The price was great compared to most mechanics I have used.We were able to communicate without a problem despite their somewhat limited English and they took me through each step they performed, taking off each part in front of me and showing why it needed replacement. They were honest and knowledgeable. The building is old. Don't expect a glitzy showroom and sparkling service bays. These guys have forgone all this to keep their pricing low. I can recommend them without reservation.

I found this place online and after reading the reviews, figured I would take a chance. I called and he fit me right in. I needed a piece of pipe welded from mid pipe to the muffler. He charged me 70 for it and my car is super quiet and more peppy!! Very trustworthy and doesn't try to sell you anything. He just repairs what you need. I would definitely reccomend him. He does everything if you buy the parts. He just charges for labor. 2 thumbs up!

Vanna was an absolute lifesaver today. I was in Providence for one night and my catalytic converter was stolen. Woke up on Sunday to an extremely loud and overheating car. American muffler was the only shop open on Sunday. Vanna didn t have a part he needed to fix the car, but when I told him I am not from Providence and needed my car to get home today he went out of his way to help. He even closed down the shop for a few minutes to run out and get the part he needed to fix it. Service was excellent and fast. Our car sounded and drove like new after visiting this shop. If I lived near Providence I would be a customer for life. Thank you, Vanna!

I went to other muffler shop you know the name band and dealers. I got their quotes which where much higher and they wanted to replace parts that didn t need to be replaced. Not here they replaced the muffler which had a long split in it they simply cut off the muffler and replaced it quick and easy no clamps they welded all connections then check the welds for leaks. I was in and out in about 45 minutes and the price was great. I recommend American Muffler to anyone who needs muffler work.

Called and had me bring it right then and there.. Had the old cat converter cut off my car and new one welded on within a hour and couldn't be happier. Fair price, clean welds and even fixed a spot on my flex pipe without asking or charging more. Will definitely be back when I need more work done Service: ExhaustService: Exhaust

The work was quick and cheap which was awesome, but the two guys who serviced my muffler did not seem like they wanted to. If I talked, half the time they wouldn t reply. I called ahead, asking if I could have a new flange welded onto my muffler so I can connect it back to my mid pipe. They told me yes. When I showed up, They first told me they couldn t do it because my muffler wouldn't fit in my hangers, though I told them I knew it would because it was previously mounted fine. Then, they told me that they couldn t because they did not have a flange to fit my muffler. After asking them if they could double check, they came back with a correct size flange and welded it onto my muffler with no issue, but since the work was done so quick, the weld was not fantastic either. No disrespect to these guys as they did complete the job, but it would suck for a customer who does not have any exhaust knowledge and make them seek for service elsewhere when they didn t have to.Service: Exhaust

Brought my Toyota Prius in making a loud sound, I thought it was the exhaust but the Mechanic said it was a bearing, I asked if he wanted to drive it around, he said no he was sureAgain I walked in no appointment he said it would take a hour and cost 350Ok came back and it was 350 and to my surprise the sound was gone back to my very quite Prius. Great service, experienced mechanic's at work. Any exhaust work needed? This is the place to go, no job too big or small for these guys. They offer great prices on brake jobs also with quality parts at a bargain, waiting times vary but always worth it. If you need any work done in cranston you wont find a better price or quality of work. Will continue to go here as long as I live in the area, always left with a smile on my face.

had exhaust work done today. he is efficient, professional, and performs quality work. he could have robbed me and suggested unnecessary repairs, but he DID NOT. as a woman, I am more than happy with the service he provided. my g37XS is smooth running again.Service: ExhaustService: Exhaust
