I brought in (2) vehicles to Steve at Apache. I brought a complete frame off restoration with my 73 Dart, and an auction purchase with my 69 Chevelle. The Dart was the most cumbersome and expensive. My hat goes off to the team for their body/paint work. It was very well done. Other than that, unfortunately I am not satisfied with the Dart specifically due to the time and money spent. I waited just over a year and a half to get to the point of maybe "200-250 hours" left on the job. The engine restoration was subbed out to Johnson's in Warwick. I finally retrieved it in February 2024. They did a good job, but again the timing and cost was high. When it came to the Chevelle, that was less about particulars and more about getting it streetable. I spent over 10K to only have things like the spark plugs not replaced, lights not working, and even wire clippings on the floor when i picked it up. They didn't even wash or vacuum it. However, when it came to DETAIL, I was sure to be charged for their 'time' spent ordering individual parts. Steve is an excellent salesmen and toungesmith. I caught this on day 1, but my options are limited in this industry as his profession is a dying breed. So, I gave him the benefit of the doubt only to spend tens of thousands over 2 years to have 2 unfinished projects to take elsewhere. My recommendation to any of you out there is to agree on a flat rate price from the beginning, along with a time frame. Otherwise, Steve will roll you into his web and bury your car along with the dozens of others crammed into a shop that you can barely walk in. My belief is his passion is in boats instead...but the cars are consistent and keep the business 'afloat'. Just speculation. Ill never return. Thanks for reading.

Will never go back. Very unprofessional repairs, followed by customer service and time management.Had all the body and paint work done through Apache for our 1949 Ford F1 pickup. We are not happy at what the truck looks like for the amount we both paid. Paint is severely orange peeled even after they apparently cut and buffed the clear coat. Sent the truck back to them with many problems after being initially painted, including a massive crack in the driver's side cowl section of the cab due to the panel being filled with body filler and not being fully welded in place . Picked truck up on December 29th (2 months later) with more problems then when it was dropped off 2 months prior. Very poor touch-up and finish work. Dented and scratched panels. Lots of overspray/runs and chipped paint down to bare metal on numerous spots inside and outside of the truck. The finish product is not what we should have gotten for what we paid. We want our money back or for Apache to pay for someone else to do it over again because clearly we can't trust them anymore. We reached out to the owner with brief phone call with no follow up. You would think that if your reputation was on the line, you'd want to resolve a situation like this as best as possible. Especially with the amount of money we as the customers invested in their job to our vehicle. For anyone who uses them be sure to get everything in writing. Will not recommend to anyone wanting their vehicle painted. It was our intention to show this truck in the first place, which we are now embarrassed to even drive around with.

Steve and his crew did body work on two mid-60's VW Karmann Ghias for me. These were different projects, requiring different approaches and their work was outstanding. For one project, they were able to address poor body work from the previous owner, straighten things out and finish through to paint. For the second project, they were able to do incredible sheetwork, prep and paint to a show car level. The end cost was in line to the budget, and I couldn't be happier. Apache is a professional, serious shop with broad knowledge and skill.

They excell at making mistakes. This place doesn't deserve one star. The owner is deceptive and shouldn't be trusted. Don't go here. Very poor communication. These amateurs will screw up your vehicle, charge you considerably more than was verbally quoted, and they will never provide a written estimate.
