I've been bringing my car here for regular maintenance and repairs and I've always had a good experience. They have reasonable prices, they're accommodating, and communicate any unforseen needs for your car, and I generally get my vehicle back the same day or the following.

Very professional and very kind. The staff treated me well and provided me with an alternative method of repair for my vehicle that wasn't as expensive as the former!You can believe I'll be back the next time I need a service!

My previous mechanic of 13 years retired and closed up shop, so I had to find another shop to get my vehicles inspected.Pilgrim's Car Care Center had good reviews, so I scheduled appointments for 2 of my cars to get inspected.This shop has a friendly and helpful staff. Communications were great when my cars were done.I will definitely come back to this shop for my car care needs.Thanks!

Fast, friendly service. I brought in a car for a pre-purchase inspection. While I waited, a fellow customer brought in homemade brownies as thanks for her own wonderful experience. Always nice to see hard working folks treated to some baked goods. Anyway, the wait was short. Jim provided a thorough evaluation of the vehicle. His detailed explanations of what each finding meant and the possible future implications were greatly appreciated. Love the out of the way, traditional old school garages like these. Very happy with my experience.

My alternator broke down right before Easter. I was so upset because I would not be able to drive my car back home for the holidays. I proceeded to find a great place to take my car because I am unfamiliar with the York area and I am very particular about where I take my car. I chose Pilgrim s care to replace my alternator. They were super quick and explained everything in detail. Their pricing was amazing and their mechanics/staff are so incredibly kind! Pilgrim s care seriously is a great place to take your car if you don t know much about car parts. They will treat you so kindly and walk you through the process. Thanks to this automotive shop, I was able to return home for Easter because they worked quickly and efficiently. Thanks guys! Keep up the great work!

We went to Pilgrim s for a pre-purchase inspection and Jim was thorough, honest, and knowledgeable about his evaluation. After buying the car, we took it back to Pilgrim s for some tune ups because of their caring & trustworthy character!!! You can tell these are guys who know what their doing, give you the best price, and care about you as people. Thank you Jim!! First I want to say this is a honest garage, and the pricing is competitive. BUT, the owner is a complete douche bag...seriously, a real head case. It's not just my opinion either...ask his employees, who by in large are good folks. If you can deal with the drama, by all means. Not me, not anymore.

Our son in law and daughter were in from Michigan and had car trouble. They found Pilgrim's who took their car in immediately for repair even though it was the week of Christmas. They repaired the vehicle at a very fair price and got them back on the road.I then had my car repaired at Pilgrim's and had the same positive experience. This place is probably the best garage around, good guys who actually care, and if there is a problem with your vehicle they will not sleep until they find the issue. I take all my cars here for many different services. These are mechanics that you can trust! They will never tell you your vehicle needs something it doesn t, just to take your money. They are very honest, and make sure you are safe on the road and that your vehicle is running smoothly. Drove from MI to PA to visit the in-laws. Woke up the next morning and my jeep sounded like it was going to blow up (small exaggeration). Called pilgrim's because their reviews were great. They were able to get me in immediately to lift it up for diagnostics, right before their designated lunch break. Sensing my urgency they were able to very quickly diagnose and fix the problem (heat shield) before their original lunch break was even supposed to start. Told my father-in-law about them and they have gained multiple loyal customers. 1,000% recommend this place! Very honest and won't try to sell you unnecessary "repairs".Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

I have an older vehicle and have needed to make a lot of repairs to major areas of the vehicle including the transmission. From the first time I needed a mechanic in York, Pilgrim's has always given me the best price for all my repairs and do great work.After they find out what your trouble is they go over everything with you in detail and discuss your options with you. It's the only place I've gone since my first experience with them. Just friendly, knowledgeable staff and a great customer service experience. I highly recommend Pilgrim's Car Care Center to anyone.

We were in York visiting family from out of state when the driver's seatbelt became stuck and would not pull out anymore. We didn't want to make the 12 hour drive home with no seatbelt, and we only had a few days to get it fixed before we were supposed to leave. I chose Pilgrim's based on other reviews and called them just before they were going to close for the day. I was told to bring our car in first thing the next morning, and they would try to get it working again or order a whole new seatbelt if they were unable to. Fortunately, they were able to take it all apart and get it working again without having to replace the whole thing. They were very professional and friendly as well as very accommodating of the fact that we were on a time crunch. I felt that the price was very reasonable as well, charging only $75 for all the labor. I would absolutely recommend Pilgrim's Car Care, and if we ever have car trouble again while we're in town, I will be returning there.

These guys are very nice, kind, patient and, from all of my dealings with them, competent too. Moving to York from out of town I've had a hard time finding mechanics that are fair and actually seem to want my business. These guys are as good as they come. I highly recommend them!

This is by far the most trustworthy auto shop in York County. Had an estimate at another place for $1,600 and it ended up being a $35 fix that was done in less than 30 minutes at Pilgrim's. I can't say enough good stuff about this place!

I have patronized Pilgrims for over 20 yrs, they are very honest and good at what they do. I had one business inform me I needed brake work done, when I took it to Pilgrims they told me I didn't, it was several yrs before it actually did need to be done.They have gone above and beyond to keep my "baby" on the road!

I had borrowed my in laws vehicle that had a ball hitch on it and need to change out the ball size, I tried heat, liquid wrench, and a piece of pipe and was not able to break it free. Stopped at Pilgrim s to see if they could take it off and the guy put a socket on it with an impact wrench and within a minute had it off. I asked what I owe and he said, nothing. Great customer service!!

I took my car there twice to be worked on and each time the work was exceptionally great. Recommend them to anyone. Staff courteous and straightforward,pilgrims is on my Xmas list.

I have been going to Pilgrims for years and they are honest and professional! My family, and many of my neighbors, use Pilgrims for inspections and repairs and we are all grateful and happy for so many years of service! I trust them 100%!!!

Had my car break down on the way into work and had to have it towed. Pilgrims managed to get the problem fixed for me while I was at work and it was ready to be picked up by the time I finished my shift. Great customer service!!

My parents always have took their cars and never had a problem... now I am taking mine and they have always been courteous. They even let me know ahead of time of what I may need for my next inspection.

great service, went in to have my brake pads replaced and they called me a couple hours later saying that they did not need to be replaced yet, when i went to get my truck they did not even charge me for the labor to take off the wheels, check and clean the pads. 100% will be returning

Plain and simple: If you are looking for an honest, old school, neighborhood mechanic, look no further than Jim and his crew at Pilgram s. They are honest, straightforward, and meticulous. Need an example? Read on:I ve been around cars and working on them since I was a kid. My 2002 Honda CRV is my livelihood as I am in sales and in the road most of the time; needless to say, the old girl needs some extra TLC once in a while that I can t handle in the driveway, and when a strange, new sound was coming from the undercarriage that I could not find or isolate, it went to Jim and Crew. After several communications with me, we thought it was as simple as a muffler.....BUT......as usual, the team wasn t 100% convinced it was that simple, and after combing over that car for another day, they located a oddball issue in the driveshaft. It was a sound that I never would have identified as being driveshaft related, and not somewhere you would normally look.....the kicker? The driveshaft was ready fall out, a very dangerous situation. So not only does Jim and the team fix the noise, they save me from a potentially catastrophic issue on the highway. Oh yeah, all the while clearly communicating every step with me (and humoring my shadetree mechanic observations). Folks, Pilgram s is simply the read deal.
